I called Len Saturday afternoon at 3 oclock and told the pleasant person that I needed a water heater. I told her about the symptoms and that this was not an emergency. She said that someone could be here with a new heater in 20 minutes. Half an hour later she called back and said that the truck had a flat tire and she would contact another one of Lens plumbers. At 4:20 PM the promised truck arrived. A friendly plumber looked at the work to be done, went to the truck and came back with an estimate. I thought it was a little high, but I agreed to the price. The work was very neatly done. By 5:20 the job was complete.

I discovered a slow leak in the cold water pipe feeding my hot water heater. Called Len at about 3 pm on Sunday and a plumber came to my house by 9 am on Monday. The plumber had to come to my house and inspect my leak before providing an estimate; the cost for the estimate was $29 and was in addition to the cost of any work ($346)done. We came to an agreement on the price before the work started. The price is based on a flat rate for certain types of jobs rather than a cost based on actual time and materials. I thought the price was on the high side for two hours work, but the work was done professionally and to my satisfaction. The plumber could have done a better job of protecting my floor and cleaning up stray solder from the repair. The work was guaranteed for one year.

No estimate of work beforehand, jobs are not charged on hourly rate, but by National price book. Turns out that the National price book is rated to the neighborhood. The more affluent the community is, the higher the price charged. I will NEVER call them again.

I called on a Monday morning and was told that a plumber would be sent out the same day between noon and four. He arrived between 1 and 1:30 and was done before 3:00.

They were very responsive and came when they said they would. They did good work. I did get the feeling of friendliness from the first phone call. Their prices were comparable to other plumbers. I would use them again.

Plumber was called and came the same day. Diagnosed the problem quickly and made repairs efficiently. Technician did use up more of my paper towels to wipe up than I would have liked. But the company provided rapid service and that's what counted in this situation.

The plumber showed up on time and was here for about 20-30 minutes looking at the room and our boiler and existing system. He didn't seem to think there was a way to easily tie into the system, but said he would write it up anyway. He also offered to write up an estimate for heating the room with a direct vent gas heater, to which I said OK. He said he'd get the estimate to me the following week. I waited two or three weeks, and then finally called their office. Someone told me that the plumber would call me the next day, but he never did. Another two weeks went by and someone from the office called to find out if I'd ever gotten an estimate. I said no, and he apologized but didn't explain why I didn't get the estimate. The up side is that they never charged me for it either. We ended up using someone else for the job.

Absolutely miserable, I would not use them again. After the tech came out (who was very nice), I went on vacation. When I returned, one of our faucets in the bath tub had a steady, small stream of water running from it. No one had used the bathtub while we were away, and this had never occurred previously, which seems clear to me that it occurred when he took everything apart. When I called to speak to someone, the lady was extremely rude. She tried to charge me to come back out to fix it. I told her I did not feel that was right since it was something that occurred on their first visit. She then said shed need a manager approval, and Id have to wait until Monday. I told her I was sure she had a way to contact him in the event of an emergency. She asked me why I was being mean to her, and then proceeded to hang up on me. I tried to call back and she would repeatedly pick up the phone and hang it up. Horrible service. Trust me you can do better for your money.

Mike the plumber showed up for the initial visit on time, gave me an estimate, and made an appointment to do the work. He returned when he promised, was on time, performed the work, and kept to the estimate. He was polite, professional, and diligent. I will use Len (Mike) the Plumber again. The only complaint I have is the initial visit charge. If I call you to get an estimate and go with someone else, by all means charge me. If I call you and tell you ahead of time I'm hiring you to do the work, don't charge me. Add $29 to your final estimate, but don't tell me you are charging me for it. Everyone will be happier.

Jason was very helpful. He made recommendations for the new installation that reduced cost. He advised waiting to repair the bath until problem reoccurred routinely & then suggested a repair vs replacement that would be approx $150 vs $500-600. They did the work very quickly. It was a pleasure to deal with this firm. Although somewhat expensive, I value the quality of the work, and how quickly the job was done.

I found the experience working with Len the Plumber to be very good. The mark for punctuality would have been higher but I was scheduled for the previous day, but the plumber's last job lasted longer then he had anticipated but the company did call to inform me of what had happened.

This took 2 calls, because despite ads saying they carry lots of parts, 1st tech didn't have the right supplies. He cleared the tub drain, using just a plunger (mine!) & charged $125, which I thought was a bit high. He diagnosed the problem with the toilet & sink drains, but didn't fix them. The rest of the repairs weren't completed until the next weekend. Despite ads of being available at a wide range of times, I was told they wouldn't have anyone in my area available to work in the evening for a long time. The 2nd tech, Chris, was great. He completed the work, rebuilt the toilet, and cleaned out the sink drains. When he didn't have the necessary parts, he went out & bought them. (I'm not clear why the first guy didn't do that). Unfortunately he also discovered one of the sinks was rusted out and leaking. He gave me info on trying to find replacements, since the square sinks are apparently no longer being used. Would use again. Very professional, courteous, and informative.

I was remodeling a bathroom and needed work related to a shower replacement, as well as replacement of bathroom sink faucets, etc. The plumber came and gave an estimate ($2000), which I thought was reasonable, but as soon as he began work, he stated more work was required and that job was going to cost at least double the estimate. Since I was being sandbagged, I decided to send him packing. I lost $29 for the visit for the estimate and $100 for the aborted work.

They did not come to give me an estimate when they said they would. I called them and they said they got busy. They rescheduled me for the first job the following morning. They did the work. They did not clean up very well and I have mud stains on my carpet to clean. The work appears to have been done well.

Heres how it works: Call them and arrange for them to come by. Its $29 for a trip charge. They dont charge an hourly rate, so you dont know what theyll be charging for the job until they get there. Seems like a strange way to do business to me. I could not get anyone on the phone except the woman who answered the phone. I guess plumbers are in high demand.

Plumbers were polite and professional, but a followup, at no charge, was required for a leak. I thought the charge was high, but we did agree to it in advance.

They had a $30 fee to come out, and they would not give me an estimate over the phone.

Frank was very knowledgeable and was able to complete the work. He completed the work on time. I had been told by others that the sink was not fixable. I liked them very much and would recommend them to anybody.

I cannot explain how refreshing it was to have Mr. Harris give reasonable advice and, in my opinion, honest assessment of the areas I had in question. I would hire Len the Plumber again and would ask for Mr. Harris as my technician.

Quoted $125, Used my material, Final bill was $500. I am an older single woman and know they took advantage of me.(they were here for 1 hour)

Frank, the technician, was very professional and competent. We called him back because one detail was not working well, he came back within the next two hours, fixed the problem at no extra charge and was quite a gentleman.

Came promptly same morning as called. Plumber knew his stuff and diagnosed the problem quickly, which turned out to be less serious than we feared. Finished in about two hours.

The plumber was available the day after I called. The plumber showed up on time, and he brought sufficient help and cleaned up when completed.

It only took about 2 days, less than they estimated. I was pleased with their service.
