I contacted Len the Plumber re a leaky garbage disposal. They were not willing to come after 4 p.m. on a weekday, so I made an appointment for the following Saturday morning. The technician came on time as scheduled and replaced garbage disposal. $372. A week later I noticed it was leaking again and called to report this. The person who took the call again would not arrange for someone to come in the evening (which they should have, since the second visit was to correct their error), so I made an appointment for the following Saturday. There was a call to my house a couple of days later offering an earlier appointment in the evening, but by then I was out of town on the days they offered and just decided to wait until Saturday. On the second Saturday call the technician arrived on time and found that the garbage disposal had been improperly installed and he fixed the problem. Hopefully there will be no additional problems.

Make certain that Len the plumber is going to live up to his scheduling commitments. They do not charge an hourly rate, so be aware that the price that they give you may be pretty high. They access it by the job, and they charge for labor. In this instance, the total cost was only for labor not parts.

My resident telephoned me stating that the basement toilet was backing up. I looked up Angie's List and saw that Len the Plumber received many complimentary reviews and was located very close to the resident's house. I telephoned Len the Plumber and found them to be very professional and friendly. They showed up to the house within 2 hours of the initial call. They discounted from the price the evaluation/diagnosis fee because my resident had explained the problem to them so well over the phone that they knew before they showed up what the problem would be. I found this very decent of them. The work was completed that same day and the following day I received a follow up phone call by the company asking me if everything was still fine and telling me that if any problems occurred to please notify them.

They did the job quickly, efficiently and they even gave me a discount.

The phone reservation process was very easy, and the woman who made the reservation asked me how I found out about them. I told her that Id seen their ads on TV, but decided to call them because of their reports on Angies List. She was very impressed to hear that! They told me that I could expect the plumber between 8 and 12. On the day of the service call, I got a call at 7 a.m. telling me that the plumber would be there at 8, as I was the first one on the list. Mike was very professional, quickly diagnosed the problem, gave me an estimate, and within 15 minutes the repair had been made. All in all, it was a painless procedure! Prompt service, exact quote for the work, and follow-up from the company to make sure I was satisfied.

After performing the repairs, the pilot light still wouldn't stay on. The technician thought there was insufficient draft to the water heater. He suggested that we have the chimney examined but there was an obstruction. He said he would return after the obstruction was cleared and relight the pilot light. The chimney sweep found no obstruction and the technician still couldn't light the pilot light. The technician suggested we have a certified technical(for the brand name of the water heater) examine the water heater since it was under warranty. The diagnosed the problem immediately. A part inside the water heater had burst and a new water heater was ordered.

He does give a discount for military members.

They were very thorough and did an excellent job. They were also very honest about the cost involved and what my options were. They gave me the option of cutting the drywall myself to save some money, but I opted to have them do it. They also finished the job very quickly. I felt very comfortable with the advice that they gave and was happy with the outcome, the faucet works perfectly.

Service should up late but came next day... plumber was knowledgeable professional and courteous.

We called Len The Plumber based on previous contact in course of a bid on work. All of our sewage was backed up into a set of basement tubs and we were anxious to get the job done. They gave us a price of $6000. I told them there was no way we would go for that price and would now try to get another plumber. With a phone call to "the boss" they reduced the price to $3900. We agreed and they proceeded with the job. It took two days and the excavation was a disaster. They never got the yard looking even close to normal. When we had more time to check we found the job would have been much cheaper and the results much better if we had just taken an extra day to get other prices.

Showed up on time. Gave a clear explanation of the problem Had to remove some wallboard from a ceiling. Fixed it promptly.

Great communication, showed up right on time. Courteous and efficient. Gave me a quote up front that was on target. All in all, I thought it was extremely expensive. The whole job took about 50 minutes and nothing very complicated was required. I think they did and would do a great job reliably and professionally, but I would only hire them in an emergency.

Our 1940 house has the original galvanized steel pipes, and they have always drained slowly. One day they just stopped. We called Len The Plumber about 2pm on a Monday afternoon and they offered three ranges of times for scheduling the next day (they did not offer to come out that evening). We picked 11-3. They charged $29 for the visit itself, and then had a fixed price list. The drain cleaning was $300 total, which we thought might be high but we were just glad it was done. FYI, the company does not have a warranty on drain cleaning. Also, at our request, the plumber looked at our plumbing system and estimated it would cost $2000-3000 for replacing the pipes inside the house only, and an additional $2-3k for the underground pipes outside going to the city water line. We would consider having them perform this work, but we also plan to get other estimates.

The workmen came on time, were knowledgeable, polite and courteous. They were more than willing to do what it took (even if by brute force) to fix the problems. So many other plumbers have not wanted to get their hands "dirty" and only did cosmetic fixes. They also took the time to explain to me what they were doing in terms I could understand.

It went very well. Pat, the plumber, showed up right on time and proceeded to get everything done he needed to. He also talked to me about other items that may need attention in the near future.

Was on time, called when running late, very polite. Did follow calls.

Very good. The plumber stayed at the house until he exhausted all potential plumbing problems. He then got up on the roof and identified the real problem.

They went over and above the scope of the work at no extra charge. They were professional all the way.

They did an excellent job. I have used them 4 times. They are very customer service oriented.

I was pleased with his work. I would use him again and would recommend him.

I scheduled an estimate and the plumber did not show up in the four hour time window given to me. I called and was told he couldn't come that day because he was working on another job. Rescheduled for another day and he showed up this time. When I scheduled the estimate on the phone, I was informed there would be a $29 trip fee. After evaluating the two problems, the plumber concluded that no service was required- the home inspector was incorrect in one case, and the second problem was too minor to spend money to repair. Then the plumber handed me a bill for $89, not $29. He explained that the $29 was just to show up and the add'l $60 was for diagnoses. After arguing, he agreed to accept just the $29 I had been quoted on the phone. I received a routine follow up call the next day and complained about the attempt to charge me a higher amount. The representative apologized and said that should not have happened.

Excellent service. On time, competent, polite, called to see how it went, same day service.

I had a list of several things I wanted him to look at. He said they don't like to repair tub faucets that use washers because the old faucets usually leak again. He said if I still wanted him to replace the washers he would do so. With the understanding there is no guarantee. The other alternative would be to replace the entire faucet with a new unit, at a cost of approximately $700. A couple of things I asked about he said we could hold off on getting done. We plan to totally redo the bathroom within a few months. He was courteous and careful doing the jobs and explained what he did and why. He gave me information on how to caulk our tub so it lasts a long time.

They arrived on time and completed the job within 3 hours. I was at work by 1:00, who could ask for more!
