The work he performed was fine but the price he provided as an estimate (over $1200) was excessive and he falsely claimed that what I was asking for could only be done in commercial applications with metal studs. I asked to have an outlet and two switches replaced with an outlet, a timer, and a switch that I provided. I needed a floating outlet replaced because the drywall around the outlet had deteriorated to the point that the outlet was about to fall into the wall. I told the technician that I wanted an elybox bracket installed between the studs to which the box could be attached. The technician falsely claimed that such braces were only used in commercial applications. After calling his boss and the boss agreed that they would supply such a brace. The brace that they delivered was too short and I had to provide wood to fill the gap between the stud and brace. I told the technician that the box needed an extender but he wouldn?t install one and I had to after he left.

He was knowledgeable, professional, & friendly?and also efficient & thorough with the work. Everything I would want from a technician!

Brandon Carter our technician came out to restore power to our outdoor koi pond that had lost power. It was an emergency situation for us as the weather is expected to be very cold towards the end of the week. Brandon quickly identified the issue and worked expertly to quickly resolve the issue. He also made a couple of recommendations for improvements to our system that we could consider to ensure that we would not encounter similar issues in the future. We highly recommend Brandon and Chesapeake Electric for their fast response and excellent service on a holiday weekend Sunday. Much appreciated.

I hired these guys a year and two weeks ago to get some wiring done.... it all went bad this week. They said "oh it's over a year, let's get you a new quote." Quote included $400 in completely fabricated "permitting fees", they tried to make me sign up for a subscription service (for an electrician?? For $300/yr?!?) and their quote was almost double what it cost them to do similar work a year and two weeks ago. They had no explanation as to why. They also refused to do a quick fix socket replacement as a holdover until they could send somebody out to do the rewiring.... until I refused to sign something and then they magically could. Just like the permitting they "had" to charge me until they magically didn't. Felt like a giant scam!!

We called Chesapeake Electric after-hours for an emergency service. We smelled burning plastic(which is SO scary!) and were fearing the worst. Darius Tabrizi arrived within 2hrs of me calling Chesapeake Electric and our whole experience with him was amazing. He found the source of the smell, gave our breaker a thorough overview, and presented us with repairs that could be made to bring our home up to code. We are first-time homeowners and knew our home would need serious repairs, particularly with electrical work, and we are so confident that Chesapeake Electric(and Darius) will be our go-to service providers! Darius was so professional, calm, and confident that he could fix our emergency problem(and he did!) and bring our home up to code. We had an amazing experience and I would recommend them to anyone else who needs electrical work done. He showed us everything he saw and explained what needed to be done - super helpful for us. Highly recommend!!
