I have used and referred CES several times over the last 10 years and have never been disappointed! Rich and his team are truly outstanding!

The demolition and mold remediation presumably went well. Unfortunately, the work to finish the ceiling replastering and painting was delayed several months and then initially done poorly. To CES's credit, they did send in a different plasterer to repair the work. To be clear, I believe that CES operated in good faith. However, the work took months to complete because they seemed to have forgotten to finish it. Once it was back on their radar, they completed the work quickly and initially did a poor job, they immediately fixed it with quality. I have no choice but to ding them on responsiveness and punctuality.

He was very good. He came on time, explained everything he was going to do, and worked around my seller's schedule, which made her very happy. He had the best price and I will continue to use him.

I spent a lot of time researching and collecting estimates from mold mediation companies. CES was very knowledgeable easy to work with and very reasonably priced. They were punctual and got the job done in no time. Don came with all of the necessary paperwok- insurance info, certificate of completion, transferable warranty- without my even having to ask. I am very happy with their service.

Don gave us an estimate on our work and answered all of our questions.  He was easy to work with.  His crew was punctual, friendly and professional, and they kept me apprised of the progress and any additional issues that came up.  I would definitely recommend this service!

They came and removed molds in the basement and sprayed it. They have a policy of 10 years warranty that if molds came back, they will come back and do the mold removal for free. They are extremely professional. The owner came out and he educated us on how molds grow and why we have molds in the first place. He was very honest with us and really explained to us. He did tell us things to do to prevent them. He did give us knowledge. They were extremely responsive, they left everything clean. The price was good for what we got.

We had an emergency situation due to construction in our home.  Discovered mold in attic due to improper venting of roofing material from original roof installation 16 years prior.  We were about to have roof redone in process of re-roofing new addition when we realized this needed to be addressed before we could proceed.  Called CES - they returned my call within an hour, assessed the situation over the phone after asking thorough questions.  Don gave me a quote which he was quite confident in based on the info. provided and agreed to be there in 2 days so our contractor could stay on schedule.  He and an associate arrived exactly when they said they would, went over the contract with me in person (which he had emailed previous to coming to the house for our review) and went right to work.  They were extremely professional, and I would use them again without hesitation.

Commonwealth Environmental Services provided me with an excellent and professional service from start to finish. Don came to look at my attic; the written quote arrived by email a day later explaining the method and what kind of chemicals they're using (good to know that it's non-toxic). After I decided to use the company, I communicated by email with Richard on setting up the appointment.
Upon arrival, they covered my floor from first floor entrance, stairs and upstairs bedroom (with the attic door) with protective cloth. They did a good cleanup job afterwards; the area was spotless. Also, there's no overpowering chemical smell.
This is the only mold remediation company that I contacted (three companies came and provided quotes) that provided me with a 10-year transferable warranty and without me asking, a copy of liability insurance and a list of referrals. I also appreciate that they explained the process and methodology of mold removal in writing in layman's terms. Highly recommended!

I have nothing but praise for Richard Power, his brother Don, and the entire CES crew.  They were top notch in every respect. 
When I returned from vacation to find my basement dehumidifer had broken, resulting in mold covering the walls of my basement and portions of my first floor, I was unnerved.  I immediately looked at Angie's list and made several calls to A rated providers. Richard returned my call that evening and was professional, kind and empathetic.  He came out first thing the next morning and did a thorough inspection of my entire home.  (None of the other companies were as thorough or as responsive). I was also impressed that he took the time to educate me about mold.  It was empowering, as I can now spot mold and distringuish it from dust, etc.

Don and his crew did an exceptional job in under two days.  They were prompt, professional, helpful
and remarkably kind.  My understanding is that all of the crew members are veterans.  Their military training certainly shows in the quality of their work.  While I hope that I won't have another mold remediation project, I would hire CES without question if I did.

Richard came out on a moment's notice, accommodating my busy schedule. I will be using him for all services!

Don came to to give me an estimate on Tuesday. He was knowledgeable and professional. He evaluated my attic and took the time to explain his findings and exactly what his company was going to do to fix it. A few days later his crew arrived. They could not have been more profesional can courteous. They did a great job. The price was much lower than 2 other competing quotes I received. I would not hesitate to use Commonwealth Environmental Services again.

Excellent.  Preliminary discussions about what will happen, what could be saved and what should not be saved.  Discussed schedule and work plan.  Equipment and dumpsters arrived day before work began; work began on time and was completed in two days, as forecast.

We were satisfied with their work. We were under a tight schedule because we had the house under an agreement and the remediation had to be completed. And the report was given to us before the pursuit sale which was due the following week. So, we were happy with getting them in right away, getting the estimate and getting the work done and certified. These guys were extremely knowledgeable. They were also recommended to us by a few people.other than Angie's List so we did not even bother to get a second price. We had a number in mind from our builder here of what we should pay and they were well within that number.

They were excellent. They did the work in a very good time and they cleaned up after themselves.

We had recently moved into our house, and noticed a musty odor upstairs that we couldn't track down. Prior to our move, the former residents had used CES to remove mold from the attic, so they recommended we give CES a call. Don Prescott was polite, professional and informative, and set an appointment with us right away. It turned out that the odor was simply coming from plumbing in our hot tub (which we bleached, and the odor went away), and had nothing to do with mold that may have been left behind from the work CES had done just before we moved in. Don did not charge us for the service call, and seemed happy to help anyway.
Given the nature of Don's business I hope we never need his services, but if we do, he'll be the first person I call, and I highly recommend him. (On a side note, I recently called him to see if we could hire him to get rid of mold from our central a/c system; he said he doesn't do that sort of work, but referred us to another contractor, Richmond Restorations, whom we hired, and it worked out great - my review of them can also be found on Angie's List.)

They came out the very next day from my call and gave me an estimate for mold damage remediation and removal of mold debris and air scrubbing of area. I approved and they did the work right on the spot for a fair price.



The workers were prompt, professional and efficient.



My only complaint is the length of time that it took to receive a receipt for the work so that I could submit to my insurance company.



After 1 month, the owner explained that he had been very ill and apologized and provided a receipt. I would suggest a back up office person.

My basement was being remodeled and several areas of the floor joists and subfloor appeared to have mold.
I contacted Commonwealth Environmental Services based on their Angie's List reviews.
My phone call was returned within a couple of hours.
Don met me at my home that afternoon and confirmed the presence of mold.
Don provided me a quote that evening and was able to schedule the work for the following day.
The work was performed on time and was completed in a few hours.
I was left with documentation describing the scope of work. 
The documentation may be given to future homeowners if we ever move.
The entire process was extremely professional; I recommend Don and his team.
