He is really good and helpful. He did a good job or pumping and explaining all what he did. The only issue was that when we scheduled the appointment, he convinced me that there is no charge for digging if it takes him minutes to find it, which is what happened. He found the spot and dug in in matter of minutes (he knows what he is doing). However, he still charged me $40 for digging, which wasn't the part of the original deal. Anyways, the only reason I wouldn't hire again is that with digging charges, he is more expensive than other options in the area with equally good reviews. I have no complains about this work.

After coming home from vacation, discovered toilet and shower backed up in downstairs bathroom after showering upstairs. Thought it might be septic related so gave Joe a call at 8am Monday morning. He finished some earlier appointments faster than anticipated so arrived before 10 am the same day. He found the baffle cover quickly based on orientation of tank cover that I had dug up and the inlet pipe coming from the house (no unnecessary digging in cold weather). Saw the clog right away so cleared that out and scraped down sides of grease and other items that had adhered to wall. Since everything was open, asked him to pump tank. Joe was prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. A great hire!

We just had our first septic pumping today and we used A Community Sanitation Service. Joe Nickerson was amazing! He's a friendly guy, who walked me through everything as he was doing it, gave me good advice, answered all my questions, and didn't try to sell me on things that weren't reputable or necessary for my system. The cherry scent he adds to his trucks sure helped to deodorize the situation. :) It was also great that there was up front pricing and his estimate over the phone was spot on. For reference, we have a 1500 gallon system with access that's about 2' under ground.

I called for a pump-out, and was told that nearest availability was about 3 weeks away.  When I mentioned that I was concerned about slow drains, Joe rearranged things to get me taken care of just 3 days later.  He was professional and explained everything to me.  Additionally, he found that there was a filter on the output that was the cause for slow drains in the first place.
I've owned the house for 11 years and had the tank pumped a few times.  Nobody else has been thorough enough to find and clean the filter.  To be fair to the other guys apparently code requires a green manhole cover if there is a filter, which we don't have.  Kudos to Joe for going the extra mile and educating me about our system.

Scheduling this service could not hàve been easier. I found Joe on the list and was impressed with the positive reviews. I called and promptly had an appointment. The day of the service,Joe let my husband know what time he was arriving which was perfect,because my husband, who had planned on working from home had to attend a meeting at his office. Joe arrived promptly as indicated, performed the service, evaluated our system and could not have been more pleasant. How wonderful to work with a pleasant, knowledgeable professional!

Excellent service on all dimensions. He answered his phone and scheduled the service promptly. On the day of the service, he showed up on time and was very accommodating about explaining what he was looking for to know whether the system was working correctly. His pricing is right in line with other companies in the area, and has the advantage of being less gimmicky (i.e., he doesn't artificially raise his price $35 just so he can give everybody a $35 coupon "discount"). I checked with our town Board and he's certified to do official state inspections. Seemed very knowledgeable about system design and operation.

It went great.  He showed up 30 minutes early, explained what he was doing and why he was doing it, and shared a couple of amusing anecdotes.

I'm new to septic systems.  The gentleman who serviced the system was friendly, answered all of my questions, and walked me through the details while giving me maintenance advice.  Will absolutely use them again.

Joe told me I had a separate dry well for the water softener runoff (something the Title 5 inspector missed completely when we were buying the house), and that the system is performing perfectly. After he was done, I could barely tell where he had dug. Definitely will use Community Sanitation again; highly recommended.

This is the second time I use Community Sanitation and the experience was pleasant. Joe was very easy to talk to on the phone when scheduling an appointment and he remembered coming to my house 2 years ago. They arrived 20 minutes earlier and started probing for the 2nd cover based on the Title-V plot. It took him 1.5 hour to get to the cover. He charged $150 for and quot;locate + digand quot;, which I think is a bit pricy but it's a hot day to work outside so I feel it's fair.
Joe explains things when he works and he's very polite. He also commented on the general condition of the system and gave advices.

He was really good. They were great. He was very honest. He taught me through the problem and he told me what I could do. He was very knowledgeable, very very helpful and accommodating.
