Five Star Ventilation

Rating Jeff and 5 star ventilation is easy - they were fantastic. VERY RELIABLE and EXCELLENT SERVICE! Jeff called me only because he was worried he *might* be 2 minutes late due to traffic and wanted to warn me, but as it turned out he was exactly on time... that showed me a lot of responsibility and consideration of my time. He was very thorough and the quality blew away the previous cleanings I've had from other providers. Jeff answered all my questions, educated me about my chimney and safety, did a complete inspection. When he was done the fireplace was so clean you could have eaten out of it. Without hesitation I would recommend Jeff and 5 star ventilation, I wish more companies were this good to work with.

I meant to leave this review earlier, but apparently forgot. Tim was on time, courteous, and extremely helpful with our questions. This was our first house with a fireplace, and he gave us a great advice for maintenance and burning fires. Highly recommended.

Jeff the technician was very knowledgeable. The office made booking an appointment extremely simple and they have a great staff. I would recommend these guys to my family and friends for sure.

Fantastic company, Anthony and his helper are the best. Nobody knows the business better or preforms the work more thoroughly and professional, I had them come in and install a stainless steel liner after getting an estimate from another company. He made it feel like good old fashioned customer service A+.

The guys over at 5 star are some of the best service contractors I have seen in a long time! They provided a time they would arrive, got there in the window expected, called an hour before arrival to confirm. They were polite, informative of what needed to be done and did a great job. Wish all home repair and service providers could take some basic instruction from these guys about how to provide a great customer service!

They call a day before, to confirm the appointment and give a 2 hour arrival window. The appointment process was friendly. They've been in business for many years and have a good reputation, that's how I selected them. Prices for chimney cleaning are clear and quoted up front. On the day of the service the van arrived within the appointment window, on time. The two person crew was efficient and professional. The inspections were fast and accurate. There was not attempt to do any work that was not required and no hard sell of any services. The information I received about the condition of my fireplaces and flues was accurate and helpful. There was no mess incurred by the cleaning and a drop cloth was used to protect the floor. A quote was prepared for some needed repairs. The work was clearly written out and the estimate was entirely reasonable. I look forward to booking a return appointment for repair of the surfaces of my fireplaces. They also inspected the flashing and exterior chimney. The invoice was detailed and easy to understand. Credit cards are accepted. This was my first experience with a chimney cleaning service. I'm happy to have picked a very good one. Had the flue not required cleaning a small service/inspection fee is all that would've been required. I am very satisfied with the service received, the price, timeliness and appointment process. I will recommend and use them again.

I hired this company based on web recommendations and was very pleased. Kenny came out yesterday to clean our chimneys. He did a great job. Arrived on time, explained everything clearly, did the work quickly and with no mess whatsoever (fireplace cleaning in front of white carpets), made sure we had no questions, and suggested follow-up maintenance without being pushy. We will definitely hire them again in the future.

They did such a great job with fitting me in on such short notice. This company was a pleasure to work with. It was easy to schedule the appointment for my chimney cleaning, they called to confirm beforehand, they showed up on time, and they did a great job. I would definitely use their service again.

Why can't all contractors be like Jeff? I own an old, high maintenance house and called 5 Star for a second estimate to repair a leaky chimney. Jeff came out as promised and spent much time evaluating the damage. He described the necessary work in detail and showed me photos that he'd taken up on the roof to illustrate the problem. He educated me about masonry and chimney construction and provided a diagnosis and fix that seemed so much more substantive and detailed than the first bidder, who is reputable but just gave it a quick glance and told me I needed new flashing (which would not have resolved the problem as the mortar needed replacing, as well). I ended up hiring Jeff to repair both my chimneys and remortar some areas of the house's stone exterior. These guys started the work on schedule and kept me apprised of all work and schedule adjustments. The repair was done professionally and with much attention to detail. He was mindful of our privacy, safety and desire to protect our garden, too. I plan to have 5 Star back to restore our outdoor fireplace and re-do some masonry work done by another well-meaning but less experienced contractor. High praise!

They were able to schedule very quickly. Price was good but can't speak to the quality as I am handicap and it is not safe to climb a latter.

It took 3 trys but once the service workers got here they did an excellent and very thorough job. Answered all questions and made very helpful suggestions.

I was very happy with this company! They arrived when they said they would, took the amount of time they said it would take and were very knowledgeable and friendly. They did their job and didn't try to up sell anything. Will DEFINITELY be calling them again when needed.

I had a great experience with this company from the moment I received a call to schedule my cleaning, to the moment they left. Jeff and Sean arrived a little late, but called to let me know they would be late, so I could plan accordingly. Once they arrived, they inspected the chimney, and told me it was pretty clean, and they would charge me less for the cleaning. I appreciate their honesty. They were in and out pretty quickly, and now I can move on to finishing my fireplace project. I'm happy I HomeAdvisor connected me to these guys. They took good care of me.

I recently had my chimney cleaned and inspected by 5 Star after a bunch of black smoke came out, when I lit a fire. Jose and Tommy were both very professional and knowledgeable. They did a thorough job and took time to explain what caused the puff back and they did not leave any mess. I definitively recommend 5 Star for chimney cleaning to anyone looking.
