Five Star Ventilation

I was very happy from start to finish with the process with Five Star ventilation. From scheduling the call for a chimney inspection we were constantly being helped and did not feel we were being being upsold. I hen the inspection occurred the team was quick and was able to identify issues which were supported by video evidence when taking a scan through the chimney. The team was able to fix the issue at that time without a second rescheduling. Would recommend!

We had a excellent experience with 5 Star Chimney Service getting our chimney inspected and repaired (new tuckpointing, new crown, power washing, flashing covering and waterproofing). Sean and Marcos provided 5-star service over the three days it took for the repair. They are very friendly, always showed up on time and explained what was happening on each day. Cleanup was perfect at the end of each day. I recommend this company wholeheartedly.

We shopped around for a number of estimates from chimney repair businesses to get a new top and some mortar repairs for our 1941 chimney. Five Star came in around the middle of the pack, but we were impressed by their thorough inspection and their professional demeanor. In advance of the work their staff answered all our questions and was even able to get the work done months earlier than we had anticipated. The crew (Sean and Joelle) were very nice and worked hard in the cold weather and answered any new questions that came up. The final job was done really well and they left the house and yard cleaned up perfectly. All the work was done as promised and they took care to make sure the final product was all we could have expected. We've only had one fire since they finished, but I think the smoke is drawing better because they recommended a larger flue at the top.

We needed a chimney inspection in response to a home inspectors report. Sean and his helper arrived and promptly went through all the steps. He explained all the talking points on the report. He explained all the services available, I am thoroughly satisfied.

Alex and assistant were great. Right to the problem with no bull or over selling. Even got a little extra help from Lynn in the office. They did the job, cleaned up and were gone. Would highly recommend them.

We had Sean come to our home to clean our woodstove pipes today. We were EXTREMELY impressed with his professionalism! He called before he came, was very respectful of doing the job with no mess, and VERY informative and knowledgeable in answering any questions we had. We will definitely look forward to seeing him again next year for the annual pipe cleaning!

They came on time (within the window) and went straight to work. One person went on the roof to inspect the outside of the chimney, and the cover. The other came inside and cleaned out the ashes on the floor of the fireplace. 5 Star also did the actual sweeping. Afterwards they vacuumed all around the fireplace, and provided me with a written estimate for work to the inside and out of the chimney. The entire visit only took an hour or so, and I felt they were very thorough.

Did not do the job they said they would, overcharged and yelled at me afterwards.

I called 5-star ventilation after purchasing my house because we wanted to make sure our fireplace was in good condition and ok to use. I explained to the office manager that we have 2 fireplaces; a gas one in the living room and a wood-burning one in the playroom. I have no idea when they were used last so I want to inspect them both to ensure they were safe. She told me she had a guy who has been doing this for 21 years and he will be able to tell us everything that was going on. A tech came to the house 2 hours late to inspect our fireplaces. He walked in, I told him what he was looking at, and said **oh I am just here for a chimney sweep, I do not do fireplaces**. I told him they told me they were sending someone who had years of experience, and he literally laughed at me. I called the office manager to see what went wrong and she apologized over and over and said **I am at the bank right now but will call you as soon as I am back home to figure this out** ... it has been 6 days. We ended up going with a different fireplace professional who actually was really knowledgeable and gave us the whole history of BOTH of our fireplaces. Imagine that...

They showed up on time, were very professional, wore masks and cleaned afterwards. I was extremely pleased with their service.

The guys that came out were extremely friendly. Explained a step by step process of the work they were gonna do. While at the house they noticed my chimney liner had eroded away from no chimney cap. Once I have them the okay to fix it they had all of the parts on hand to complete the job. They were good, clean, fast, and communicated very well. I would definitely recommend this company!
