Luke was great from the start. He was very responsive and worked around our schedule. The installers, Kevin and Joe, were punctual, pleasant and finished the job in one day. Overall we were very happy with A&L and would recommend them and use them again!

A&L were quick to come look at what we wanted to do and in less than a week we had a quote. They also had the best price and the only one of three that we talked to that would remove our old unit and patch up the wall. The new mini-split system has exceeded our expectations and I would recommend them if asked.

The project went really well from the beginning till the end. I discussed project rough parameters with Luke (one of the owners) and he scoped the project and gave me an estimates. We finalized the price and set the schedule within a few days in a meeting. A&L crew showed up on time and finished the entire job in 1 day. I am very happy with the results and would definitely hire this guys again. I had difficulty trying to even schedule 1st scope meeting with 3 other major AC companies on the cape as everyone is super busy... one company could not set the scheduling even after they gave me a quote. Working with A&L, a company where you are talking to an owner was a bliss.

It went very well. The team of installers are very knowledgeable, personable, customer service oriented and very respective of your home. They vacuum up after themselves! The office staff were very prompt in forwarding the necessary paperwork we needed to submit a rebate, which was a considerable amount of money. We had to wait awhile from the time we gave our first deposit until the job began. During that time we kept in contact with the company via email and telephone calls, as to when they would schedule our work. The delay was due to the fact that this company is so busy. They told us they would come before the end of the year and they did.

Luke is an amazing guy to deal with and extremely accommodating !!! His employees that installed the system are equally nice and accommodating. The work from start to finish didn't take long at all. There was no clean up for us they took care of everything. We would highly recommend this company.

I reached out to this company on 11/03 for an opportunity to quote this ductless mini splits on our 2nd home on the Outer Cape after reading their reviews on Angies List. A few emails back and forth confirmed a day/date. Several emails from me followed requesting a "time" on that day; each reply from the president of this company re-stated the day or I'll call you; a time was never shared. I even apologized I was sending too many emails asking for a time. After 3rd email from A&L president telling me we agreed upon a date, not giving me a time on that date, I wrote back and said I was cancelling appointment. Two emails from the president of company received after that email: 1. Wow. Ok. Good luck finding a more responsive contractor than myself. You're dealing directly with the owner. You said you wanted to meet 11/11 so that's what we agreed on. Good luck with getting ripped off by another contractor & dealing with their secretarys smh. Ps. Lighten up!!! Luke Cyr President ..then..3 minutes after that email, another email from the president of the company: 2. I'm glad you decided to back out because we don't deal with a-- holes!! Luke Cyr President Calling someone an a--hole in an email? Professional? It's not respectful or professional; no one should be subjected to this kind of verbal abuse. I can't think of anything in our exchanges that warrant these responses from the company's president. And I can say I'm glad I did not do business with this company. If this is how the president of the company treats potential customers.....?

A great job! Very happy with the promptness and professionalism the crew at A & L Heating & Cooling have shown me in this job and a job for ductless A/C and central A/C. Removing the existing 80 gallon tank out of the eves of the house was a very tight squeeze and yet the guys took all the precautions necessary to remove without a scratch. The new water heater looks great and works great! My home was left clean without any sign of the job that took place. Another great job done!

Very well. Last year we put on an addition to our home. We weren't sure how much use we would get out of the room. After one year of enjoying the room we thought, lets go for it and put in heat and a/c. We love it and spend a lot of time out there, so happy we got it done.

A&L were very professional in the original call to scope out the job. They call a couple of days later with the cost and a timetable. They showed up on schedule and completed the job in a timely fashion. Their workers were professional, polite and clean. When the job was complete Luke came by and showed me how to operate the system. I don't remember having a crew in my home that were more knowledgeable about what they were doing. The crew was punctual, knowledgeable, focused on the job and extremely patient answering our many questions. The crew stuck to the timeline that had been discussed and we are very happy with the final product. We truly appreciated Luke setting time to meet with us and go over all the specifics with the use of the splits. When the job was complete he met with us again to inspect the work done by his crew both inside and outside of our house. We would not hesitate to call A & L with any questions that may come up in the future. Alex has been terrific regarding the "paperwork" side of the job and once again sent everything to us in a very timely manner.

There were a couple glitches but overall system is done to satisfactory install. Passed inspections with town. With that being said, there are many points that need to be discussed; First, the customer service was very poor which is the main reason for this review. The job was started on September 21st and was finished the last week of October, around the 28th. After the job was completed I spoke with several contractors that I know and they say a job of this size (1300 Sq Ft and and unfinished basement) should not take any more than 3 weeks-give or take a couple days for unseen circumstances. The first week the old system was removed, new ductwork was installed, the humidifier was hooked up, and the A/C unit installed and hooked to main system. A week went by waiting for plumber(sub-contracted out), which hooked up and installed the tankless water heater in one day. Several more days went by waiting for electrician(sub-contracted) to arrive. There were a couple of odd job days to fine tune and button up small items on the system. Fast Forward to October 10th, I get a call from Luke stating the electrician would be by on Monday to do his work. I explained I would be out town from October 12-17 and I would need to make arrangements for him, as I was not comfortable with a any contractor alone in my house for a week. I made arrangements to leave the door open and when my neighbor got home later that day they would lock up and set the alarm. On Monday, Luke informed me by text that the electrician did not finish his work and would need to return on Wednesday to finish the job. I reminded him I was away on vacation through the end of the week. He suggested we reschedule the job for when I return from vacation. I responded Ok, but we need to finalize a date. From this point, Luke became unprofessional, disrespectful and profanity ensued in a series of texts. He texts, "I don't keep tabs on my subcontractors. Stop being a girl. Nobody is going to steal your s**t. You are being unreasonable... and dude-chill out." This was unacceptable and when I returned from vacation I spoke with Luke's partner, Alex, brought him up to date on what occurred and showed him the texts. Alex agreed that it was unprofessional. I have saved these texts as proof that this occurred. I had to inspect the completed job carefully, and guide A&L to correct several issues, including an incorrect switch that would allow the humidifier to run independently, the wrong shut off valve was installed so they had to correct that. After pointing these issues out, they did correct them. While the job was finally completed satisfactory, the customer service was somewhat unprofessional. If you decide to hire A&L, I advise that you deal directly with Alex.

We found A & L to be very knowledgeable about HVAC systems. They responded immediately to our inquiry . We found their work to be professional and timely and they communicated all aspects of the job to us. The job, as specified in the contract, was finished on time and at the quoted price. Additionally they helped us complete the paperwork necessary for the Early Replacement Rebate program operated by Mass Save.
