Fisher Windows

I live on Beacon Hill in Boston and you have to get permission to replace all viewable windows. But on the back of the home you do not have to get approval. I used this company to replace the windows on the back of my home in the past. I was wanting to use them on the front of the house as well and called to schedule. They got back to me really quick. The woman told me that Jeff didn't typically like to come to Beacon Hill but he would do it for me since I was a past client. Then, this morning (about a 1/2 hour before the scheduled appointment ) Jeff called and told me he would not be coming out as he does not like to service this area. I had arranged to be here for his appointment and I am disappointed that he did not come out this morning after I was told he would. I was previously happy with the work they had done.

Based on reviews I expected a much more efficient operation from this company.

Overall, the window replacement job was done very efficiently in two full days. The two men crew were highly skilled, courteous and very tidy in removing all the debris. A prompt follow-up check up of a few minor adjustments was also appreciated.

I've had good experience dealing with Jeff. He showed up at my house as scheduled and gave me a reasonable estimate. Jeff also explained to me various window choices. At first I want to go with Pella windows but he convinced me to install Harvey windows instead. It was a good compromise in terms of price, quality, warranty and looks. It took 1.5 days to finish the job. Workers showed up on time and cleaned up after themselves. They left only a few minor dents and scratches on the walls which was probably unavoidable for this kind of work. New windows look great. I specifically would like to mention attention to detail and professionalism of one of the workers, Scott. I was present during the installation and whenever I pointed at something that needed extra attention they fixed immediately it without arguing and discussion. I'd definitely hire them again.

I called for an estimate to replace 20 windows in my house. They did not return my call for six days and wanted me to wait more than two weeks before they could provide an estimate. I stated that two weeks for an estimate equated to at least a month before the work could be started where I was looking to have the work started within the next few weeks. They had no issues letting my business go... I guess that they are not affected by the economy!

We had a wonderful experience from the first point of contact to the last. There was some confusion on the final bill but it was handled very respectfully and professionally.

Despite trying to be a loyal customer (see above) my experience this go around was rather disappointing. The initial response was excellent. I discussed what I was looking for and we booked a date and time for Jeff to come out and look at the existing patio door. I received a call a few days later to reschedule for ~ a week later, which I did. That date came and running about a 1/2 hr late, I received a call to reshedule again, which I did. As that time approached (the day before) I received another call to reschedule a good 2 weeks later. By this point, it has been over a month since the initial appointment and not confident that any of the future dates would stick, I decided to move on to another vendor also found on Angies List. Now, I marked "Yes" as to whether I would use this company again but really there should be an "Undecided" option. At this time, I am not sure if I would contact them again as my two experience are on both ends of the spectrum. I realize that they may be extremely busy and that my request is not a huge job but when you promote quality customer service and loyalty, you probably want to limit the amount of reschedules especially for an existing customer. It is for this reason that I graded them as lousy across the board.

We called Jeff and ProWindows after a friend recommended him to us. Jeff was quick to respond and provide multiple quotes to us based on a few different scenarios which we really appreciated. We decided to replace the windows in two phases and completed the upstairs ones first. We were very impressed with the guys who completed the work. They were on time, worked quickly and didn?t leave a mess. Originally I didn?t want to go with vinyl windows, but Jeff was very informative without "selling" and so we decided to do vinyl upstairs only, but we love them so much we are going to do the downstairs with the same ones. My only constructive criticism is that on the day of the install we paid the balance in full, (confirmed the check was cashed), but still received a bill for the balance. However, after the initial panic ceased, I called and was able to confirm it was an office mix up and they apologized for the confusion. We look forward to completing the downstairs windows with Jeff and his team soon.

We have a leak and thought it was from the windows so we called Jeff to take a look. He arrived on time and was very attentive. After looking carefully around the windows (indoors and outdoors), he assessed that it was not a leak from the windows, but suspected that it was likely coming from above the window. He did however give us his observations and opinions about how the windows were installed and gave us a little windows 101 lesson despite the fact he knew this was not a job he could help us with. If we ever decide to replace these windows in the future, I'd gladly call him back to help us out.

They spent more time than usual. There were a few small things, like metal fragments in my yard from cutting the metal in my lawn for the door. They did a good job. I am considering calling them again as there is a gap between the door and jam which needs to be fixed. Overall, they did a good job and were professional.

They came out and gave us a free estimate to replace a window. We asked if they could replace the window without losing the glass and we talked about the various options. Since it is the only window in a small room we opted to go with removing the trim and doing extra carpentry to keep the same size window that we have now. Jeff was very helpful and informative. The two guys that came to do the work did a beautiful job and they cleaned up after themselves wonderfully. They were really good about explaining what they were doing. We did have a slightly lower bid from another company, but I felt that Prowindows had the reputation that I felt more comfortable with. Jeff did such a good job of explaining and the value of the communication made me feel much more confident of what we were getting. The price was fair. We would absolutely use them again.

Jeff and his team have been terrific to work with and we look forward to using them with some other projects. 2 minor issues ; during the installation phase the crew arrived without a confirmed appointment which caused a bit of confusion ; 2 windows arrived without screens and we're still waiting to have those installed --- the measurements needed to be provided again due to some installation team attrition. Save for the scheduling event -- top flight and great trustworthy, family business to work with.

Other than a lack of adequate communication, my experience with them was fine. Slow call backs, slow follow up, 4-5 days sometimes, just to find out when I could expect the final window to be installed. They do the difficult part well, and the easy part badly.

The guy, who came out, was prompt. He did the work that he said he would do. He matched the offer that was made to us by another company. Also, as he was a local person, we decided to use his services. He was clean. We didn?t have any problems with the company. We will use them again in the future.

This company has been superb in customer service. At the start, we asked for last minute change of schedule and they accomodated our request. The crew came on time and had been very professional. They completed the work in two days and clean-up any mess before they left. We had some minor cosmetics re-doing and they were responsive and quick to fix them. We highly recommend this company for window replacements. They are not the cheapest, but we are very satisfied with our overall experience with their work and professionalism.

Jeff was great. His estimate was fair...wasn't the lowest but wasn't the highest. Just a really nice guy. Great customer service throughout. His crew arrived promptly and the entire job was done in one day. Answered all my questions thoroughly. Cleaned up after. The windows look great!

Jeff was very informative when he came to give me my estimate. My job was scheduled within a few weeks of sending my deposit. His crew was punctual and very clean. They completed the entire job in under 2 days. There were some difficulties getting some decorative shutters re-installed after the windows were in, however, the crew took extra time to reinstall these properly at my request. One tiny problem...some trim they installed around a bedroom window began to lift off the window frame this week. I had to renail & recaulk this myself. Otherwise, the work was great & I would use them again.

Jeff Fisher was excellent. He was very forthright and told me that the type of windows that I have would not be $400, but would be $800 per window. I have old, old windows that are metal and would not come out nicely. He said that it would be a two-day job. He was very good and he suggested that I get a contractor. He was very pleasant and professional. If I had the money, I would use him. His price was good if I didn?t have the type of windows that I have.

Overall- the installation went well.... I scheduled time with Jeff to come and take a look at the windows and he was straight forward with pricing and how long the overall job should take. He also gave me his opinons on which window brand would be the best quality and keep cost low. I had to call the morning of the window installation date to see what time they were planning to arrive- I was hoping to get a phone call the week before hand to confirm but never received it.... Never the less, Polo and Guierremo came around 10AM and were very professional. They placed covering on the floor so any bits/pieces from the windows would fall onto there. They used their cellphone only once during the whole day and took a short lunch- I think that is rare when it comes to this sort of business. The larger window defintely was more of a challenge than the other windows but Polo turned it out great. Becuase of this, the day lasted longer then proposed but I would rather have good quality work for a long amount of time then a rushed job for short amount of time. I would recommend pro-windows!

We contacted Jeff from ProWindows to replace 31 windows in an older home. He provided a quote very rapidly which was fair and honest. He answered all of our questions in a timely manner over email and phone. Their prices were very reasonable compared to other companies we contacted. We really liked how they are a family-run business. They came exactly when they said they would and finished the installation in a single day. Both our independently-hired contractor and the painter who were on site at the time remarked how good of a job the window guys did and both of them asked us for their contact information for future jobs. We will definitely use them again. Strongly recommended.

We took over a year to make up our minds about what windows to buy, consulting with several different companies, including several restoration companies. Jeff came out to our house three times over the last year to discuss options with us. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. No hard sell. In fact, he offered us suggestions on window restoration if we chose to go that route. When we decided to go forward, we were able to schedule the work quickly. Prowindows completed the work in two days, removed all debris, cleaned up after themselves thoroughly. There was a minor problem with one window lock not engaging properly. Prowindows fixed it immediately. A friendly, professional, family business. I will definitely use them again. Their prices were also about $1000 lower than a comparable estimate directly from Pella.

It was a very positive experience. Everything was very clean and the job was well done. The product was very good and the price was very competitive. There was nothing negative about them.

I liked them very much. They did a very good and a precise job. They removed everything carefully, installed things and cleaned up after themselves. They were prompt and efficient. They were a little expensive.

His crew arrived on time and did a fantastic job. They were pleasant, efficient and very neat.
