We interviewed 3 contractors for our kitchen remodel when I finally did an google search for local contractors in my area. I read a review of Jack from Strong Builders that was so impactful, it actually brought me to tears. We met with Jack and could not have be happier with our decision. Jack is a rare find these days. He is trust worthy, reliable and very skilled at what he does. Jack showed up day one of the project, parked his trailer and was there 6 days a week, 8-10 hrs a day! He is organized, methodical and keeps a clean job site. He was very honest about the expectations of the project, when minor issues arose, they were handled and addressed with ease. Jack works diligently to see the project through to completion with his goal of “no callbacks”. Strong Builders, one guy, one project at a time. I would recommend him over and over!

Jack did an incredible job engineering an open floor plan for our traditional colonial home. He was able to thoughtfully pull together a plan and execute it from start to finish. It was a complicated assignment with multiple rooms coming together as one integrating our kitchen. Through our collaborative planning, Jack has created an incredible open floor plan where we can enjoy all areas of our home including a new pantry and storage. Jack is a consummate professional and works with precision and focus with the job at hand. He communicates well and manages the project as a master contractor and doer of the project. Working with Jack Whealan means that you're working with the best. My family had a rather complicated project that included 3 major phases along with painting and refinishing existing floors. Not only did Jack complete the majority of the project independently, but he did so while seamlessly coordinating subcontractors to keep the process running smoothly. Jack kept us in the loop every step of the way, and delivered a product that is superior to any other project we've had done. Jack answered all of our questions around the clock, and made sure we had the information behind his answers. He provided great insight about so many things in the home (whether they dealt with the new build or not). You can tell that Jack is a person who genuinely cares about the work he is doing. He is meticulous and detail oriented, and he won't install something in your home that he wouldn't put in his own home. If I had to go back before this project was started and choose a contractor to work with, I can 100% say I wouldn't choose anyone but Jack. You seriously can't go wrong with Strong Builders. It was a pleasure to work with Jack and we are so happy with our new home.

Jack designed and built a family apartment and screened porch for us as well as adding a separate bedroom and bath to the main house. It was a relatively big job that Jack did 90% by himself, demonstrating his amazing knowledge and skills in contracting and building. I was amazed at the quality of work and the commitment to the job, working 12-hour days in some cases. Jack was onsite every day, doing almost all the work himself. Absolutely stunning work. I recommend Jack to anyone who wants top-notch, high-quality work.

Strong Builders built a new deck for us, and it came out amazing. From the beginning, Jack was an excellent communicator helping us understand the process and get to a solution. He was clear and transparent on the pricing, and found him very competitive. His work was done very high quality, and get the job site clean throughout the process.

My pressure treated deck needed staining every year so the time came to upgrade. Jack from Strong Builders did an amazing job from the planning stage right through finish and cleanup. He provided many options to look at and helped me find the right colors to match my gazebo and complement the patio stone. Once the materials arrived he worked quickly and was done in a week! The outcome is beautiful -clean lines and detailed work. One excellent feature is the way the screws are hidden so the walking surface remains smooth. I highly recommend and am very likely to use Strong builders for future projects.

Jack is simply The Best, period! He is not just a master carpenter, he's a craftsman that not only understands the importance of quality, he personally owns it. My wife and I have already asked him when he's available for our next project! Be patient, he's booked solid most of the year, but you will not regret it! We've had much experience with other builders/contractors, and they all-except for Jack-have a something that leaves one with a bit of frustration or disappointment. Strong Builders remodeled our basement and added a bathroom. Jack had a clear vision of the project and he communicated very clearly with us throughout the process. Probably the most bind-boggling thing is that he does the vast majority of the work himself and by himself. He knows the building codes in and out, which made getting permits approved as smooth as it gets in a county that is notorious for being difficult to build in. We hire Jack from Strong Builders to build our attached two car garage with a mud room in between the main structure. We had been researching and talking to contractors for about a year when we finally decided to go with him and I'm glad we did. He doesn't push for unnecessary extras or sell you anything you don't need. He is very professional, punctual and responsive, from beginning to end, any unexpected modifications throughout the project, he done it well and effectively! He also cleaned up the area every day which you never feel messy during the construction. He pays every details of his work and completed the construction with quality results.
