Gatt Floors

Good value. Company owner Bill, said they will come back in November to add one more coat on to my kitchen floor and patch something I needed done in another room. Hoping this will happen as requested and promised by him.

Recently moved from Michigan to Massachusetts. Hard to know who to call for the work I needed done. Online reviews were excellent for GATT so I called them. He viewed the job right away and his bid was affordable for me. Still I was a bit worried He began the job and finished the job as he promised. I am very happy with the way my floors look now and would hire this company again.

Excellent! Could not have been more satisfied with the work they did. Bill was very responsive, quick to schedule, on time, and very reasonably priced. My hardwood floors were not easy to refinish and the amount of dedication and hard work was astounding. Highly recommended!!

The floor technician was extremely dedicated in completing the job. He arrived at 8am and stayed until 8:15pm. This kind of professionalism is noteworthy. My hardwood floors came out beautifully. I highly recommend this company because they stand behind their service.

Bill always answered the phone when I called, he was always on time, and stuck to his price, no surprise additional cost.

The first visit they sanded and polyurethaned the floors - upstairs, downstairs, and the stair treads. Upon inspection the following day, there was pooling in many areas, poly stains on many of the walls (some as high as 5 up, including a hand print in the bathroom), and the floors felt rough like they hadn t been polyed after being sanded. Called them to come back and they said they d be there after a job around 6pm and to leave a key. Husband didn t leave key since he d be there by that time. They showed up at 4:00. Instead of waiting for him to get there (he was on his way) they used a credit card to enter our home (I suppose this is its better to ask for forgiveness than permission theory?) And FYI them letting themselves in with a credit card wasn t illegal because they had permission to be there... I checked after they insisted they didn t break in because they had permission to be there. But it is unethical. So after that, it turns out they only did the 1st floor. Misunderstanding between us I guess. Had them come back a 3rd time to do stairs and 2nd floor. Next day I noticed that the nose of the stairs where it meets the tread was still unsanded and had the old dark stain running the length of every stair. I was so over it that I didn t call them back to fix it - again. Fixed it myself. Company never called to see if we were satisfied or if everything was all set. Use this info as you will. I will give you that they were professional in speaking to us but not in their actions.

Bill and his team did an amazing job, the floors date back to 1905 and now look newly installed. Great price, great crew, we could not be more pleased.

Bill, Mike and Steve made my ugly pre-engineered wood, orange, and dated floors look like new. They came on time, worked really hard and produced wonderful results.

Quick and they did a great job

I hired Gatt Floors to refinish some very old hardwood floors in the house I recently purchased. They gave a very reasonable quote, and I suppose you get what you pay for. First let me say, they are very easy to get in contact with. Bill showed up for an estimate the same day I called him. At first I noticed little things, like how the wood putty used to fill small gaps did not even come close to matching the wood around it. Then I noticed that not all of the paint had been sanded off the floors (I was specifically told not to worry while I was painting one of the rooms). But then I noticed the big one: there was a huge crack in my drywall! Now, I am a reasonable human, accidents happen. But the fact that Bill left halfway through the job, told me he would come back and check the work, and STILL didn't tell me I had a massive crack in my wall is just poor customer service. Not only that, there were sections of the floor with 3x4in gaps that he filled with wood putty. Wood putty is used for small repairs, not gaping holes in the floor. Besides those spots, the floors actually turned out rather beautiful. I can't say I will use Gatt Floors again, but I'm not calling anyone to redo them either.
