Description of Work: when looking for a kitchen contractor, I went to the showroom and walked around for over 1/2 hr and no sales assoc was available there were a couple of sales persons w customers, no one said I'll be w you in a few minutes or I'll let an assoc. know you are here.....

Description of Work: We wandered the showroom for at least 25 minutes, the lone employee visible couldn't acknowledge our existence. We went somewhere else for countertops and were treated very professionally.

Description of Work: A few months ago I visited kitchen associates on a recommendation from an acquaintance. Overall, my experience was not very good. In all fairness, I walked in off the street and they were short handed on the day I visited. I already had a kitchen plan in hand from my architect and started to work with a salesman. After about 20 minutes he needed to leave to go to a doctor's appointment. I then was working with another person, who I think was a manger or owner (I wish I had saved their business card so I could remember his name). Overall, I was not happy with the service he provided. I felt he was rushing me and once I gave him my modest budget, I felt like he lost interest in my sale. At some point in our conversation, he mentioned that the store does a lot of business with contractors who do a lot of high end work. I got the impression he would rather work with them than a individual with a modest budget, though the store seemed to have cabinets at all different price points. To make a long story short, I left unhappy. I had given the salesman a copy of my kitchen plan drawn up by my architect and he never called me back with pricing as he promised. I never bothered to follow up because I didn't want to do business with them.

+ 3 moreKitchen Associates of Sterling MA did a very professional job from start to finish. Once we agreed on the price, they ordered the cabinets. Once the cabinets were built, it took less than 2 weeks for the installation. All problems were addressed and corrected to our satisfaction. The carpenter/installer was a gentleman and was very clean and polite. There was one problem with the granite countertop that was corrected and the countertop was replaced at no cost. We would certainly hire Kitchen Associates again.
Description of Work: Complete kitchen remodelling: 1- Plan and layout 2- Cabinets 3- Granite Countertops We contracted out the plumbing and flooring separately, but Kitchen Associates could have done it themselves (and maybe the plumbing for less money). We also bought the cook top and oven ourselves.

+ 0 moreWe did not find them on Angie's List. They were very responsive, although a little hard to schedule. The man that came out was just great. They were very friendly and efficient. Their work was solid.
Description of Work: Our freestanding island in our kitchen had a loose leg and they fixed it, as well as reinforced and alligned some loose hanging cabinets.

+ -1 moreI thought they were very good at first, but then we decided not to go with them. They were a bit un-professional when we told them we were not going to use them. They seemed to know what they were doing. We got a lot of good information out of them, even though we didn't use them. I wanted to go with someone who was buying kitchen cabinets directly from the manufacturer as opposed to someone who was reselling cabinets. I thought they were very good, and I think we would have been happy with them if we would have went with them. They basically got "gruff" with me over the phone when I told them that we went with someone else.
Description of Work: We went and talked with Kitchen Associates about a new kitchen layout and to get an estimate.

+ 0 moreHe is an excellent guy. I didn’t end up using him, but that was mostly because I was focused on cost and I also didn’t need design help. He is excellent for someone who needs help with the designs and cabinets. He is an honest and good guy. I would recommend him. I went and visited him a couple of times. He is someone who I have recommended to other people based on their needs. I will use him again in the future.
