boDealt with Mike Greene , via email and cell. Very responsive, very thorough. Going to meet him next week to discuss shrub plantings, mulch and some other work. So far - everything has been great. Would definitely recommend. Will update after we perform the next phase.

I have used Greg Stefano and his company on many projects and have been thrilled with everything. If you are not satisfied with something he comes right back and fixes the issue. I have been using Stefano Landscaping since they started out and have recommended them to several people all of whom still use them today!

it was great, they showed up when they said they were going to, installed as expected & returned to check the work was done properly. would highly recommend after many attempts at trying to find someone to do this job.

We never heard from the representative after he came out and looked at the job. After about a week I called him and was told he was getting right to it and he'd get back to us in a few days. This never happened. In the end, we went with a different company and we're very happy with the results, so I guess it all worked out, but it was a total waste of our time to be strung along. I should also include the following exchange as I think it was pretty representative of our dealings with this contractor: In our front, we've had a lot of trouble growing grass, so we figured we should bring in some sod. When I said this to the representative, he responded, "Looks like you've had sod here before." He then didn't elaborate, he just marked it down that we wanted sod. Out of my ignorance, I didn't know why the fact that we'd had sod before mattered, and he didn't enlighten me, so I didn't give it much thought...until a different contractor came to look at the job. When I told him we wanted sod, he took the time to point out that it looked like we'd had sod in the past (we've only owned the home for about a year and a half, so this sod would have been put down by the previous owner), he actually bent down and showed me the sod, and then explained that given this, it probably wasn't in our best interest to pay for more sod that was just going to die. He recommended mulch, which is what we went with. It saved us from paying for something that was just going to die and it looks nicer too. Had Stefano's actually gotten back to us and had we ended up going with them, we'd probably have some beautiful sod right now...but in a few months, if not sooner, it would probably be dead.

They are nice to deal with. You don't even know they are there. They don't make a lot of noise.

From the moment I first called they were prompt and professional. They came when they said they would and did exactly what they promised. When they were finished both the owner and the person supervising the job gave me their cell phone numbers if I have any questions or concerns. I now have a beautiful lawn. I could have asked for more.

I write this now only because i was not an Angie's list member when our yard was remodeled. Had i been a member when our yard was done i would have recommended Greg's team immediately. Having become an Angie's list member now, I'm purposely writing a review in the hopes that it helps promote Stefano's landscaping as i believe they are truly skilled and extremely fair in pricing. Our experience with Greg and his team was excellent. He came out and gave us an estimate, based on estimates from other landscapers we thought Greg's estimate was on the low side. Immediately i thought something might be wrong. However, i followed up with references of Stefano's recent work and i even visited to see the finished product. One person that i called even told me right away "i only have one thing to tell you: HIRE GREG STEFANO". Greg and his team came to our house, had to deal with a hiccup in that they had to remove a fence panel to get into the yard, they managed to do that seamlessly, completely tore down the entire forest of weeds and crab grass that we had and put down new sod in one day. the 2nd day they built our patio and put up a pergola that we purchased from a 3rd party. They finished the job by installing a mulch bed around the ends of the yards for flowers. The guys were friendly, they explained everything to me in detail and they finished on time, no problems whatsoever. I'm only sorry i didn't hire Stefano's to do our fence as well. if i have any landscaping jobs i will absolutely hire Stefano's again and i highly recommend them.

When we rebuilt our deck we relocated the entrances so we also had to relocate a timber/flagstone path and install a set of granite steps. We felt Greg Stefano's price was a little high but we hired him anyway on the recommendation of our deck contractor whom we respect. Greg was knowledgeable and easy to work with in designing the job, had good suggestions, came when he said he would, finished on time, and did high quality work. I had only one criticism of the work which is that his crew at first installed the steps with the stones not quite aligned, but he had them fix it as soon as I pointed that out, and then it looked fine. Unlike most tradespeople, Greg has a website that allows for convenient online payment by credit card.

They did everything correctly and on time.

We asked them to come and see the job site and they were quite quick to come and quote. The pavers for pation and walkway were installed in August as scheduled. We did not hear from them for a while after we commit the fence job to them. They were busy during the fall all over town. However we were not in a rush and we were fine with the delay. They came when they said they would and they finish up quite quickly. It looks beautiful.

They were professional, courteous, and they did the project correctly. They offered a competitive price and I’m happy with the results.

I called this company based on an Angie's list recommendation, and unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. After our initial call, the owner came out and met with us to discuss the work we needed done. Part of it was that he would install some shrub beds with shrubs that we were going to purchase and have on site. After our meeting, we were leaving for a couple of days, so we agreed that we'd call him when we returned so he could give us his estimate, which we did. He did call back with his estimate, which was reasonable. We agreed he would do the work, and he told us to call him a week before we wanted him to start, as he needed a week's notice. Since the estimate seemed reasonable and he had a good rating on Angie's list, we did not contact any other landscaping companies and started buying hundreds of dollars worth of shrubs in preparation for him to come and plant them. We then called him to schedule the work a week ahead. We left several messages over several days and did not hear back from him. Finally, after I spoke with someone in his office and explained the situation, the owner returned my call, leaving a message on our answering machine that he hadn't responded sooner because he'd been "kind of busy." When I called him back to find out when he could schedule the work, he never returned that call. After almost a week, it became apparent he was not going to do the work, and we were left in the position of having to scramble to find another landscaping company on short notice, with a dwindling planting season, and shrubs hanging out in pots waiting to be planted. It's one thing not to call back in response to an initial call for an estimate. But once an estimate is given and an agreement made to do the work, failing to respond to calls to schedule the work as agreed, and leaving the customer hanging long enough to figure out that they will have to hire someone else, is very unprofessional.

They really went above and beyond the call of duty. They did a lot more trimming than I thought they would. They were right on time. I have recommended them to others.
