"Unfortunately, Ms. [Member Name Removed] due to some mental incapacity failed to read or understand the terms of her consignment agreement or what how a broom-clean, clean-out works. We do not consign items with a sale price of less than $100. We cleaned-out Ms. [Member Name Removed]' family home in Brighton as we do every other clean-out we perform: All items that are "unsellable" but usable are donated -providing the tax donation receipts to the client. Only actual trash, used mattresses which are illegal to re-sell in the State of Massachusetts, and items like tube televisions -both of which we have to actually pay to dump go to the dump. Items able to be sold that have a estimated sale price of $100 or over are inventoried and consigned -with the client signing our standard consignment agreement -which Ms. [Member Name Removed] did. In addition, we go the extra mile to provide consideration to our clients for the value of the contents of the home that are able to be sold but are not valuable enough to be consigned. This consideration is in the form of a discount towards the cost of the clean-out. While we extended a discount to Ms. [Member Name Removed] for having the clean-out and consignment items move at the same time, we did not provide consideration for the value of the unconsigned contents of the home because there was little to no value in the unconsigned contents of the home. The issue Ms. [Member Name Removed] upon visiting our showroom was that when she saw $1 or $2 items from her family home for sale that were no on her consignment inventory list she literally went berserk and had to be asked to leave after screaming/ranting at the top of her lungs throughout our showroom while flailing her arms. If Ms. [Member Name Removed] had read the consignment agreement that she had signed, she would understand that like with every other clean-out company, the items "cleaned-out" or removed from the home belong to the clean-out company once they are removed. Furthermore, upon Ms. [Member Name Removed] mental-breakdown while visiting our showroom, we immediately cancelled the consignment agreement and arranged for all of the consignment items, including a set of Sterling silver, to be returned to Ms. [Member Name Removed]. As a separate moving company was used to pick-up the returned consignment items from our showroom, we can not be held responsible for the condition in which Ms. [Member Name Removed] received the returned consignment items. The fact that we did not select the moving company Ms. [Member Name Removed] hired and that the moving company Ms. [Member Name Removed] hired did not use any moving blankets to wrap or protect Ms. [Member Name Removed]' furniture was not our responsibility. We have tried to appease Ms. [Member Name Removed] to the point of exhaustion. I do hope that she received some much needed medical attention."
