Very pleased with this provider and highly recommend. Our yard was literally like a desert and now we have a beautiful lawn. They came in and removed all lose roots, rocks and sandy dirt and put down fresh soil and really nice, healthy sod. The crew went above and beyond. They communicated with me about where to put the sod, they helped me relocate plants and they were polite and professional. The owner was onsite to maintain the quality of the job and then they gave me more sod (for free) as we had an unexpected area that needed to be covered. In addition to the work, they even installed an irrigation system on timers to ensure the sod would live and we would have the best results possible. The irrigation system was given to us and installed for free. They went above and beyond, they care about their customers and value a job well done. We will be using their services again (and we actually used them once before for a Fall clean-up. That was also awesome).

I was very excited to work with this company. It has many positive reviews, Ron was very quick to respond to emails and phone calls, and the price is competitive. However, when it came to signing the contract, Ron informed me that lawn mowing is required in their contracts, but I have a lawn mower, I do mowing by myself, and I don't need the mowing service. I find it unreasonable that this service provider refused to work with me simply because I do my own mowing (even though I intended to hire them for several other big landscaping jobs, including spring cleanup, lawn fertilization and maintenance, and fall cleanup).

I recently starting working with Ron at The Narrow Lane for snow removal and wish I had known about him years ago! I have had at least five different snow removal services with terrible results. Then I met Ron and became a member of the ?Everyone Loves Ron? Club that you will read about here on Angie?s List. Ron is a quintessential professional in all he does. He is also kind and caring. I have special medical needs which require me to leave the house for medical appointments before 7 a.m. He has consistently made sure that I can get out despite record breaking snow. I have never had this type of peace of mind about snow removal! His people do an excellent job making sure the driveway is completely clear of snow all the way down to the street. They even ensure that the trash barrels are easily accessible. Ron has been able to meet all my special needs and requirements ? and he has done it with a smile and ?we can do anything? attitude. I have since learned that his landscaping company does everything for the outdoors from tree plantings to paving. I would feel comfortable having Ron lead any project knowing that it would be done right with creativity and kindness.

The Narrow Lane is the third snow removal company I have used in 5 years, due to changes in the other companys' service areas. Ron and his staff are professional, thorough, timely, and efficient. They were the first folks out to plow/shovel during the blizzard, and they came out multiple times to clear the more than 2 feet of snow. Their prices are high in comparison to other companies, but I believe that you get what you pay for in customer service, quality of work, and professionalism. I'm glad I switched to The Narrow Lane.

We have found The Narrow Lane to be courteous, reliable, and diligent, both in three-season landscape maintenance and in winter snow removal. In handling this winter's big snow storms, the company's CEO, Ron Goode, has done an excellent job informing customers by email about when to expect snow removal to occur, and his team has been right on the money in delivering what has been promised. This has taken a lot of the stress out of weathering these storms!

Extremely professional service. The company contacted me the day before the blizzard with an timetable for clearing the upcoming snow. First snow removal would take place on Tuesday afternoon or evening to make certain that I could get out of my driveway. The second snow removal would take place on Wednesday [sidewalk and steps] and any residual cleanup would happen on Thursday. All went as scheduled without the need for any follow-up phone calls. As a result, the blizzard was almost a non-event for me. BRAVO to all at The Narrow Lane!

The fall cleanup was immaculate. They cleaned out the leaves, the pine needles under the trees, as well as the flower beds. They offered to trim a hedge as part of the service and did a great job with that, too. Ron is very responsive and returns emails within a day or two. I think it is rare to find service companies that are both responsive and do a great job. The Narrow Lane is one of them. I will definitely use them in them in the future and recommend them to others.

It was a great pleasure to work with Ron. He was very responsive and professional. His price was also reasonable (we compared offers from several companies). We wanted completely re-do our front and back yard. We told Ron our ideas and he designed a very nice landscape plan for us and accommodated all our requests for changes. The construction was high quality and on schedule as he promised. We now have a beautiful front and back yard including elegant front stone wall and beautiful stone patio in the back yard. We got a lot of nice comments from our neighbors and friends on our new landscapes. We are very happy with the work and will definitely use them again and would recommend them highly to others.

We felt all the way that Ron was completely trustworthy, entirely competent, and very nice to deal with. It was important to us that we engage with someone who would not only give us a problem-free driveway but also create something beautiful. The fact that Ron is a landscaper who also does driveways indicated to us that he'd have good design judgment, and he did. The asphalt driveway was made really special by Ron's unique design decorative granite pavers that was perfectly suited to our home. It really makes the whole house look better! We appreciate that Ron followed up immediately when we had questions. And in a very nice "extra" he transplanted the irises that had to be moved when the driveway was widened.

Steve was very punctual and did the work efficiently. The work was done with speed and precision. In the weeks following our yard looks MUCH better and is quite vibrant. WE ARE EXTREMELY PLEASED!

It didn't go. He was a no-show

We hired the Narrow Lane to maintain the yard of our home which we are maintaining as a rental property. Matt at the Narrow Lane was very responsive, professional and helpful as I set up this service contract from overseas never having used landscapers before. The Narrow Lane was able to come out for the first clean up within about a week of me signing the contract which was a huge relief as the yard had been neglected for close to 2 months. We are not in the US to see the work but our renters report that the yard looks great. So far we are very happy with the service.

We are extremely happy with our new backyard space, and the kids love it too. The guys at the narrow lane were always positive and professional throughout the process. They were able to work through and deal with things like inclimate weather, hidden buried tree stumps and "surprise" electrical work. Their price was competitive, but what we really liked was that we had a single point of contact for the entire project and that they managed all aspects of the project from start to finish. The project took longer than expected, but that was mostly due to the bad weather and other things I mentioned above. The narrow lane was committed to me being 100% satisfied with their work, and addressed all of the issues and concerns I had throughout the project. They also worked around our beagle with ease. I highly recommend them for major yard and landscaping projects.

After less than 6 years, my paver stone patio, done by someone else, was sagging in many different places. His team removed the stones, re compacted, and re-stoned. They also leveled out and repaired my loose and sagging front door stone stairs/entryway. There were a few outstanding issues after everything was done (for example cement stains left on my stone pathway) but when I let Ron know, like magic things were taken care of in less than 24 hours. He was not my cheapest quote, but very reasonable. They were prompt, easy to work with, very responsive. I've already called him back to look at a different project on a different house!

Ron met me at my house to walk through the property, listen to my ideas, suggest some of his ideas and answer all my questions. Throughout the process, Ron has been so wonderful to work with - providing clear communication and keeping us appraised of their progress. After the design was nailed down (a quick, iterative process) we provided a deposit and got onto their busy schedule. There ended up being some delays which caused our start date to be moved back a few weeks. One concern we had was that our existing lawn (if you could call it that) was getting overrun with some very tall weeds (causing our place to look less like a newly renovated house and more like a foreclosure.) Ron promptly (and free of charge) sent a maintenance crew over to resolve the issue. Ron's crew was very professional. They cleaned up each day. Provided us with clear instructions so that they would be unfettered access to the property. They worked at an amazing pace, while producing high quality results. Through some of the hottest days of this summer, they installed our hardscape and did an amazing job. After the hardscape went in, the transformation of the property was very very rapid. Plantings went in one day, irrigation system and sod over another two, the fence got quickly installed and the finishing touches were put in place. Ron help this inexperienced home owner to understand how the sprinkler system worked and what to look for over the initial days following installation. Some issues arose around sprinkler head placement. Ron quickly resolved these by replacing sod that did not take and adjusting the system for optimal performance. Throughout the process Ron took all my calls, responded quickly to my messages and gave us a general feeling of ease. Now that the work is done, we get so many compliments and just love the results! It is amazing to sit on our new patio, while our 2 year old daughter plays on the grass of our fenced in yard. Thank you Ron and thank you Narrow Lane.

We've done a lot of projects with contractors, handymen, landscapers, etc. over the last 24 months and on a relative basis our experience with Ron and his team was at the top. Ron was professional from the get go and throughout the process. He's a good communicator, listens to feedback and is flexible to customer suggestions and requests. After this experience I would add that Ron's a guy that you can trust. His number one priority is customer satisfaction, no matter what it takes. We thought that the work/price proposal Ron put together was very competitive and VERY transparent (something that's hard to come by). He was easy to work with to adjust the proposal to meet our budget. We've learned over the years that no project goes perfectly. But Ron and his team made sure that any minor hiccups were addressed to our satisfaction (or beyond). In the end, all the work (New England fieldstone wall, new driveway, drainage, planting/mulching) completed by the Narrow Lane came out great and exceeded our expectations. We would/will definitely use Ron/The Narrow Lane again.

They are fantastic. I have been using them for about a year and they have always done an excellent job. They are reliable, responsive and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them, 10 stars out of 5!!!

Ron came out promptly after i emailed. He had great idea's of what to do in my yard patio. i had to stick with just having a walk way put in from my driveway to the patio. it looks great, the idea was great. I almost went with someone who was cheaper but chose them because of a better design.

Ron and his crew exceeded my expectations. After one or two weather-related delays, the new sod lawn was done very quickly, efficiently, and it looked beautiful.
