Lauren is amazing at what she does. She takes the time to find out exactly what services you're looking for, but then dives in and gets to work very quickly. On top of that she's an extremely nice person, offers scheduling flexibility, and is very fairly priced. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Lauren rolled up her sleeves and immediately got to work. She kept me moving by stopping me every time I reflexively set something aside inside of dealing with it at the moment. She offered great advice as to how to think of and preserve memories as opposed to saving every single piece of paper associated with them. We made great progress and I intend on hiring her for another session to continue the work. There is always another box of paper in my house : )

Great. We're working at my (slow) pace but Lauren is a great help. She motivates me and also provides helpful techniques and suggestions. It is easy to work with Lauren and she makes the process a whole lot easier. We worked together as recently as 3 weeks ago and will meet again in the beginning of December. In the meantime, I have a few "assignments" and am making progress on my own.

Lauren has a gentle, encouraging, and nonjudgmental manner, and from the start I felt confident that this was going to work. Together we measured a space, decided to put a desk there and to dispose of an ungainly couch which wasn't filling any particular need. She walked with me to the Door Store to choose a new desk. Twice she buckled down and went through piles of papers with me. She created a system on my new desk for incoming mail and papers. As she walked around my apartment she found other ways to produce order. She's a delightful person, with a nice sense of humor; when we took a short break (I can only think continuously for a certain amount of time!) we found many things to chat about. I feel privileged to have had her in my home, and I can honestly say she has changed my life for the better.
Description of Work: Lauren came to my apartment, responding to a request for help. She is absolutely wonderful. She came three times, for two hours each time. I was in dire need of re-organizing my financial material, as I had had a real meltdown at tax time. She went beyond that and helped me reorganize a space in my living room for a desk and files, and work out a system to prevent recurrence of the problem.

Working with Lauren was inspiring and fun. We accomplished a lot in a short amount of time, from creating a basement art-and-crafts center to reorganizing closets, bookcases, my family room, and even part of my kitchen. She even helped me get my papers under control. Her organizing strategies were also practical and easy to maintain once she left. Now my house looks a little more serene and life feels a little less frantic. Lauren introduced me to the concept of a traveling file system, so I could take care of my work while waiting in car lines and outside my children's activities. The system really helped me use my time more effectively! Three years later, many of the systems are still in place. I attribute this to the fact that Lauren listened to how I live my life and helped me develop systems that worked for me. She didn't try to impose systems that worked for her.

With the perfect balance of humor, patience and gentle tough love and with easy to understand strategies and rationale, Lauren guided me through the organizing and de-cluttering process for various spaces and rooms in my house of 30+ years. With a nonjudgmental and upbeat attitude, she also helped me downsize the enormous amount of things I owned, something I was dreading as I tend to save everything for either sentimental reasons or because I convince myself I will need it someday. Whether going through an excessive number of decorative baskets stored in a closet, too many framed photos on the bookshelves, piles of papers on a desk, kitchen utensils in a drawer, Lauren motivates you with great sensitivity, helping you arrive at an end result that is tailored to your own organizing needs and your personal aesthetic. By asking you questions that help you clarify why you want to hold on to certain things and how you want to live your life, Lauren makes you a real partner in the process. Lauren is very professional and helpful for household organizing. She is non-judgemental and comes with a bag of tricks for making your life easier and more fun. We have used her to help organize the house; including the kitchen, office and garage. We use her every two or three weeks. I never thought I would use a personal organizer but after years of clutter took the plunge and am very glad I did. She is highly skilled and my neighbor has hired her for regular visits and is very happy with her work. She is fun to work with and has great sense of humor. Highly recommended.
