Bob was very professional and thorough and also had the best price. They replaced our furnace and AC unit and supplied all the necessary paperwork for our rebates. I would definitely hire them again.

All Temp is outstanding. They were very professional and were reasonable about their pricing. They told us about MASS Save loans and rebates for our projects. The team was on time and finished all in one day. They were honest and so very pleasant. Bob was so helpful without putting any pressure on you to buy. They cleaned up and took all the debris away. My day was not interrupted as they went to work right away and continued working until the project was completed. Hire this company. You won't be disappointed.

All-Temp was awesome and we highly recommend them. We had several companies come out and give us proposals for our challenging heating/cooling problem. Bob was incredibly professional, knowledgable, and his proposal was leagues above the others in terms of functionality and problem solving. His price was competitive but not significantly more expensive than any of the others. I knew from the start that his company was very professional. The installation went really well. I was told it would take a full week with 2 crews and that is exactly the amount of time it took them. The men who came to the house were courteous, clean, and diligent. The project went smoothly and we are so pleased with our long awaited functional and economical heating/cooling system!
Description of Work: All-Temp completely overhauled our entire HVAC system. For the downstairs portion of our house, they completely redid all the ductwork, replaced the furnace, and installed central air. For the upstairs of the house they installed a heat pump system for heat and air conditioning and put in an entirely new vent system from our attic.

My Central Air AC unit required recharging. This same unit was recharged 2 years ago, so obvious there was a small leak within the system that was never corrected. They recharged it and added a leak seal. My complaint is that I was charged $48 per lb of freon 2 years ago, now I was charged $150 per pound for the exact same product. I called around to all the other HVC companies and they charged $75 per lbs. the unit should have been fixed the first time around. they also charge extra service fees etc. when I called to complain, the dispatcher I spoke to, Mr Johnson was rude and said that was the price and that's it. I felt paying almost $800 for recharging a unit was rediculous. They are overcharging people and getting away with it.

We can not fix a leak that is too small to locate. Freon R-22 refrigerant is not being produced much anymore due to EPA guide lines so we can not control the incredibly fluctuating, unstable market price. Our pricing is determined by our market cost and our prices are always in line with our competitors in the area. I'm sorry you are disappointed with our service for that reason. We do always recommend replacing the obsolete R-22 systems.

Extremely well. After multiple service calls, the company that we used for many years could not diagnose or resolve the problem other than replace it. I decided to get a second opinion and I'm so happy I did. I went to Angie's list and came across All Temp and recalled a friend of mine raving about them so I called them. Best decision I could have made. The next day Branden showed up on time, actually early and remained in his truck till the appointment time promised. He was professional, friendly, respectful and he listened. He wasted no time and got right to work. He diagnosed the problem within minutes but thoroughly checked the entire system for other issues. Long story short, he fixed it and we got hot water. Branden saved us thousands of dollars.

It could not have gone better. Bob Zagame came out, told me exactly what would happen, where ducts would be located, what to expect, timeline and best of all, he was knowledgeable and helpful with the MassSave program. The installers were great to work with. Bob is super professional, responsive, made great recommendations and answered all of our questions. We couldn't be happier. I would HIGHLY recommend All-Temp.

I went with All Temp because I used them before multiple times for my plumbing needs and was very happy with them. Also, their quote came in much lower than anyone else and they were a Diamond certified installer for the Mitsubishi Mini-split systems. Their response to come in for a quote was very quick and so was the scheduling of the installation. Everything went smoothly the day of the install and all three floors were completed in one day. Drop cloths were placed down in order to keep the house clean and they cleaned up everything upon completion. The work done looks great and my house is now nice and cool. After the work was completed I received a thank you note in the mail from them which was a nice little touch. Also, they sent me a rebate form for Mass Save that was just about completely filled out and just needed to be mailed out.
Description of Work: Installed two heat pumps and three mini-split systems. 12,000 BTU heat pump with mini split in basement w/mini condensate pump. Installed 30,000 BTU multi-zone heat pump with two mini split systems (18,000 BTU and 15,000 BTU) on first and second floor. Ran refrigerant lines from one side of the house to the other through the basement so heat pumps were out of sight. One of the heat pumps was eligible for a $500 rebate bringing the cost down to $12,025.

The entire experience was great. Owner Bob Z was very knowledgeable and easy to work with, and at no point tried to oversell or sell me equipment I didn't need/want. He prepped the necessary MA Save rebate forms for me and mailed them to me shortly after the install date. His installers were great, explained the entire process before the install and worked with me to find an agreeable spot for the unit and path for the piping. The guys were professional, explained basic functionality of the unit to get me up and running, and cleaned up after they left. The electrician they hired to wire the indoor/outdoor units (Chris Fleming - Amped Electric) was also solid to work with. Entire install was done in 1 day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend All Temp and will strongly consider them for any work I have in the future.

The person who came to do the repair (replace the outside unit) was anything but professional. He didn't clean up after himself. He didn't give me the owner's manual for the new equipment. When I asked him for it, he said I don't need it because it tells how to install it. I explained that it gives a good deal more information, it goes with the new unit, and if I sell my home, the new owners will also need it. He tore off the front page and a few others and gave them to me and kept the rest. When I called to report that and to get a new, complete manual, the owner/manager made excuses. I pursued it, (this was over a number of phone calls) and he accused me of having an "attitude" and putting the problem on my shoulders I finally received a xeroxed copy of the manual. Why they didn't send me the in tact one they xeroxed another question. The price was higher than I believe it should have been, but it was a prolonged heat wave and there was no room for negotiations.
Description of Work: The provider checked my non -working AC during a heat wave (summer 2013?) The person who came initially to determine what was wrong, was pleasant, and professional. The owner/ manager was even less than professional when I tried to get the Owner's Manual that goes with the new equipment.

Very pleased with the services provided by All-Temp. I received a competitive and detailed estimated promptly after the sales rep visited the home. They provided several options from which to choose and were clear about the difference between each package. They were also a big help in managing all the details for the various utility rebates the work was eligible for. Their team completed installation of everything in one day and the equipment has been performing well.

They were on time when they came by for the estimate. They were on time when they came to install the unit. They answered questions during the installation. It was an unfinished wall inside the cellar and they put up sheet rock to finish the look. Their prices were competitive / cheaper than the competition. We downsized the amount of units we wanted installed (our choice) and they provided another estimate asap. In short they did what they said they would do and at a reasonable price. I am going to contact them to see if they do oil furnace maintenance. I was that impressed with their service.

Could not be happier with All-Temp Systems. They responded to all my questions in a timely way via email (my preference) when choosing a contractor. Their cost was well below other quotes I received, because they only sold me what I needed. They performed the work on time and within the quote in a very confined space with minimal disruption. I took advantage of the massave program, and all the paperwork for that program arrived just after the work was completed.

The installation of a new oil boiler was around $5000-6000 and All Temp had the slightly cheaper quote for this. They seemingly did it correctly, although they left a large water stain at the base of my basement stairs when removing the old boiler. After installing it, they sent me a service plan, which I did not respond to right away and which when I asked them about it over a year later they said was no longer valid and they would send me a new service plan once they cleaned my system (I hired them to clean my system and my a/c units; they never sent me a new service plan for the boiler following that cleaning). The winter following the boiler installation, I also called them because I was having an issue with one of my baseboard heaters overheating and wondered if it had something to do with the installation of the new boiler. After an initial visit, for which they charged me, they said that a number of check valves had to be replaced and they would have to come back for another visit because they didn't have any with them. They then came back for another visit for which they charged me several hundred dollars and told me they replaced several check valves. The problem seemed ok, but we didn't use much heat after that, so I'm not sure that it was actually fixed then. Fast forward to the beginning of the following winter, less than a year later, when we turned our heat on the same zone was still overheating (heating past the temperature on the thermostat). So, now a 3rd service visit for this same problem. And, although I have been told by other heating professionals over the phone that the problem I describe does, indeed, sound like a valve problem and although All Temp was familiar with my system and had replaced check valves on my system, on the 3rd visit they didn't bring any check valves just in case it needed to be replaced. What the tech discovered was not a problem with the zone that was overheating, but a problem with the zone in my garage (I have a heated garage because we have water and waste pipes running through the garage ceiling, some of which are visible if you are in the garage). The tech said he didn't have any valves to fix it but that this was again a check valve problem for the zone in the garage. (I'm not sure why this check valve was not replaced initially when the others were replaced, to be honest, and required more visits.) He also suggested a liquid be inserted into the system to break up any debris that might be in the system and the valve be replaced. For this visit I was charged $85. He said that someone would call me shortly to provide pricing on injecting the solution into the system and on the valve replacement if I wanted to do those things--that would have been a 4th visit for the same problem. What the tech didn't mention on his last visit is that he completely disabled the heat zone to my garage he was suggesting I have them fix . . . not sure what he did, but when I went down to the basement about 2 weeks later I noticed that the handle for the zone had been turned off and when I turned it on and tried to get the heater to function, it was no longer heating (just blowing cold air), whereas the initial issue had just been that the heat on the pipe had been running constantly but the heater itself still turned on and off when appropriate (it's a blow heater connected to a pipe). Given that we are going into November I found it very disturbing that no one told me my heat to an area with pipes running in it had been turned off or disabled--which could have led to those pipes freezing if I did not notice it was turned off, did not have someone come back out to service the heater immediately, and was an issue I did not have before All Temp came out. All Temp called me about 2 weeks after this service appointment and left a message saying they had a quote for me for the valve replacement and injecting the solution into the system--again did not mention that my heater in my garage had been turned off or disabled. I was quite busy and was not intending to call All Temp back immediately to deal with the minor issue of the pipe in my garage running when it was not supposed to be running because I had not experienced the problem since they left and was not aware they had left it in a state that would itself be a problem in the winter. Had I not gone down into the basement into the utility room and happened to notice the issue, I do not believe I would have become aware in a timely fashion that the heat zone had been disabled. When I called All Temp upset about the fact that their tech had "serviced" my heater such that it was no longer functioning at all and had not told this to me, I received a nonchalent apology from the service manager (that his tech didn't tell me he disabled the heat zone), who also followed it with a statement that my pipes hadn't frozen after all so we should just move forward and they should come out to actually fix it (mind you, I'm not under a service contract with All Temp, so I'm not sure why they had assumed I would have them come back to fix it after 3 unsuccessful visits). When I asked him what would have happened had I not noticed that my heater to the garage had been turned off and happened to be busy or away on vacation and did not call him back immediately he seemed frustrated that I was still upset about this and indicated that my "fantasy" of the pipes freezing hadn't actually happened and that it was my responsibility to call them to make sure my system was working properly before I went away on vacation, etc. When I told him I was baffled that he was being rude when their company was very much in the wrong here, he offered to let me speak to the owner who repeated exactly what the service manager had said. Their attitude appeared to be that since my pipes didn't actually freeze it wasn't such a big deal, but they nonchalently apologized for the guy not telling me that he turned off the heat to the garage. I asked what they were going to do to make sure this sort of thing didn't happen again to a customer, to which they again indicated that this type of thing was normal and not a big deal. The owner further repeated that the weather had been mild in the two intervening weeks (although there were some days where in got down to almost freezing) and they were monitoring the temperature and would have let me know they had turned off my heat zone to my garage if the temperature had become low enough, in their estimation, to freeze my pipes in my garage (what they would have done had I been unreachable at that point, I have no clue). They offered either to "fix" the problem I was having by replacing the check valve and putting in a solution for about $300-400 more or refund my $85 back for the prior visit and we could be done. I chose the $85 refund and I am going to use a company that understands customer service a little bit better and that it is not ok to turn off a customer's heat without telling them as long as you luck out that the temperature doesn't happen to freeze the pipes before you get around to telling the customer the heat is turned off. It baffles me that this company would treat a customer like this--a customer who always pays on time and who has paid them a significant amount of money in the last 2 years to replace a boiler and service the system multiple times. I had always felt they were a little slow on quotes and felt like they came out an awful lot of times (all of them charged) to fix the one issue, but had not realized the attitude that the owners take on these types of things until now. I will no longer recommend them to others.

Everything top-notch, from sale to installation to post-installation. Best price, best unit, best fit for our situation. Installers were very accomodating. They ran a pipe through the wall for me upon request. They hooked up the two-stage variable speed furnace to the thermostat instead of relying on the default furnace settings, upon request. I got quotes from five or six vendors, including the 'big guys,' who all wanted to sell me more than I needed at a higher price than necessary. Not All Temp. Attic gas furnace install is tricky. Do you get the hi-efficiency and worry about condensate? Or go with the 80+ unit with variable speed blower and two stage burner. We did the latter with no regrets. Highly recommended.

All Temp did a great job with our boiler install last year, so we had them come back again this year for a heat pump installation on the other side of the house. They were done in a day and the work went flawlessly. I was out for most of the day, so we basically showed them where the electrical box and existing unit was and they took care of the rest. They are entirely self sufficient and I'm pretty sure their work space was cleaner when they left than it was when they got there. These guys are world-class professionals who do an outstanding job every time. Highly recommended.
