Jeff from Masonworks had just finished re-pointing the brick front of my home and chimney. He mentioned they did patios and other hardscaping so I asked for a quote. The quote was inline with my expectations and they were available to start right away. The patio came out great. The crew did a great job, and worked very fast. Jeff designed the whole patio and we are very happy with it. He has a great eye for patio design. I would definitely recommend Jeff and Masonworks.

An excellent and wonderful experience. Jeff and his company are true professionals. Jeff returned my call immediately. He was punctual and arrived on time to discuss our options prior to the project. He was very knowledgeable and presented different plans to us. After a couple of days we decided to go ahead with Masonworks. We made an appointment and once again Jeff was punctual. The project started on-time and took to days to complete. His staff were polite and courteous and worked extremely hard to complete the project. They tidied up at the end of each day. The project was slightly more complicated than originally planned as we have irrigation pipes running under and across the walkway. Jeff's staff took due care and relaid the pipes and sprinker heads. The project was completed on time and on budget. All debris were taken away. Patches in our front lawn were even re-seeded.Jeff came by after the project was completed to make sure it had gone well and that we were happy with the outcome. We are incredibly happy. Many neighbours have remarked on the appearance and quality of our new walkway. We will definately use Masonworks again for any future projects. I highly recommend Masonworks. A high quality company with truely professional staff.

Jeff responded promptly to my initial email. He kept us informed on when they would be able to start and turned up as promised. The guys worked extremely hard doing all the backbreaking excavation by hand due to access restrictions. The finished walls and steps look great, we would definitely use them again for the next part of the landscaping work.

Everything was fine - Jeff was helpful and friendly and his manager Wesley, who he assigned to manage the job, was as well. The price for the actual work was very fair except that I think $200 for a permit was high (but not unreasonable) considering the permit was $50 (the city requested to have them pull one). Overall the work the crew did was excellent.

They were very, very good. They plowed, sanded, shoveled and could not have done a better job.

I needed this job done and Jeff @ Mason Works didn't disappoint. I called and 2 hours later I had his friendly staff working up the job, 2 hours after that I was emailed the written proposal. Once the agreement was signed, Jeff started a day early! His team was quick and precise and worked with me throughout the process. Their craftsmanship exceeded my expectations. I would absolutely hire Mason Works again for just about any home job.

We were very pleased with their snow removal service. They came probably and did a great job. The snow on our grounds is usually piled against a section of fence. It became clear that our fence could not withstand the force of more snow piled against it. We alerted Mason Works to the issue and they revised the way they handled the snow so that it did not affect the weak portion of fence. Sometimes walkways are cleared in a sloppy way. Not with Mason Works. We look forward to working with them again next winter.

We are very satisfied with the work of Jeff and Bruno at Mason Works. They were prompt with their communication. Given the scope of the job it was necessary for them to come out to the property a few times to put together the proposal/estimate and to refine it. The work was done quickly and we are pleased with the result. They demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism when a resident was expressing dissatisfaction to a condo trustee. (This did not have to do with the quality of their work but rather a communication issue b/w the resident and the trustee). It was an uncomfortable situation for the Mason Works to be in but they handled it with aplomb.

A fantastic all around experience. I honestly never once had to worry about if the job would be done right/done on time/done with quality. I really didn't. I had met with 3 other contractors to discuss options and more importantly to hear their professional recommendation how to construct the wall, concrete footer that I needed. I knew after reading Angie's reviews on Masonworks and after meeting with Jeff that he had both the experience/creative vision and professionalism to do this job. From the onset, Jeff returned all my calls and emails very promptly and came out to provide an estimate within 2 days of our initial contact (almost unheard of in my experience with contractors). He promptly provided an emailed proposal within days of our meeting. Jeff and his team were able to start the job within 2 weeks of signing the contract and were prompt each and everyday. His crew was efficient, polite, and always had a smile on their face (I have two young girls that were keeping tabs on them whenever they could). They cleaned up the worksite each night and at the end of the job ensured that the driveway, yard and walkways were clear of debris/dirt left over from the job. I'm sure I'll work with Jeff and Masonworks again this Summer on more hardscaping needs. What a pleasure to work with!

The experience with Masonworks completely exceeded expectations (and I had high expectations based on the other Angie's list review). Jeff is a joy to work with and is a "get it done right" kind of guy. Very responsive to my calls/emails and made adjustments effortlessly to all of my requested changes. Jeff's team did a fabulous job! They were extremely professional, courteous, hard working craftsmen and on top of that ... they cleaned up absolutely everything, I mean everything! They just left behind a stunning backyard patio with which I could not be happier.

Jeff's team showed up early, worked late, hardly stopped for lunch and treated us with great respect and courtesy. We were supposed to trim back the bushes before they started work, but when that didn't happen, they did the pruning for us at no charge with no complaints. The finished steps are beautiful, a huge improvement over the previous steps, and really added curb appeal to the house. We would recommend them to anyone!

Masonworks did an amazing job. The quality was superb and the workers went to great lengths to do professional work and leave the areas clean. They also bricked up an additional hole I had not even seen at no extra charge. In the garden next to the walkway, they didn't just dump the dirt in, they smoothed it out making it look excellent. Masonworks obviously goes above and beyond. I have already started discussion on rebuilding my patio. They will always be my first choice by far.

I can't speak more highly of the experience I had with Jeff Souza and Masonworks. They responded to my initial call almost immediately and came out the same day for an estimate, which was extremely fair and competitive. The job was scheduled in a timely manner and completed faster then expected. Jeff and his crew were some of the most professional that I have ever worked with--they showed up when they said they would, worked hard and efficiently, answered the phone when I had questions, and finished the job with a level of craftsmanship that I was amazed with. Plus, their input and recommendations on the design and materials of the walk led to a final product that exceeded my initial expectations for the project. I could not be happier with our new walk and I would highly recommend Masonworks to anyone.

When I emailed to request a bid, I got an immediate response and was able to set up an appointment. However, on the day of the appointment, I was running late and called to let the contractor know I would still be at my home to meet him. He told me he'd completely forgotten about the appointment, was in a totally different town, and that there was no way he was going to be able to come by. He said we could reschedule, but never followed up.

Masonworks rearranged their schedule to come out immediately and make the repairs. They rebuilt two complete steps and secured two others. Also, they reminded me about not using salt on the walkway, and re-mortared the stones. I will definitely use them again to rebuild my retaining wall. This company is first rate!

We had received several estimates for the replacement of our retaining wall, which varied in length of time and cost. Masonworks' crew worked dilligently over several long work days to complete our job, within the time they had committed. Regardless of the weather, they would not quit! The quality of the work, the professionalism and courtesy of the crew, and the immaculate condition in which they left our yard were all outstanding. We came to think of them as family and were actually sad to see them go. We are planning to have them bid on another job, and would highly recommend them without reservation. They are masters at stonewall building.

They got to the job when they said they would and finished sooner than expected. It was more than totally satisfactory

Superb service, timeliness, professionalism, and result. We are very pleased with a completely refreshed garage. We would certainly use Masonworks again and are considering them for future projects.

We decided not to work with Jeff primarily due to price. He didn't ask about our budget and we didn't tell him in our initial meeting, and his first estimate was significantly outside of our budget. His estimate exceeded our budget, in part, because he envisioned the project on a grander scale (e.g., pavers instead of gravel). When we asked him to modify it, we just couldn't get close enough in our to our budget to make it work.

It cost me $150 for the plow. Altogether it cost me $150 and $55. I think they are great and they came over and took care of it. They do what they say and they are really good. I think they should not have gotten the pile so high. I have always used them, but I think they should have taken better care of it when they started. They should have removed it. They charged too much money to remove it. They are good and they have another business. They were always there and they were always reliable. They haven't done lawn work or anything else.

We had a dilapitated enclosed porch dismantled to find the bricks underneath the subfloor needed completely replacing. We called Jeff on a friday afternoon and he came to review the job on saturday morning. the following monday morning his men where there and the job expertly completed in 2 days. It was important to us to have the work done quickly so the carpenter could complete the rest of the work before bad weather set in. The front porch now reflects the original architechutal design of the house (1923) and looks infinitely better . We had recieved a couple of slightly lower quotes for the work but these were from less experienced and less available Masons. The quick and professional service provided by Masonworks far out weighed any small additional cost.
