DJ arrived on time and performed the above tasks with precision. C in professionalism is because he took a job from a neighbor across the street while doing the job I called for. The price was adjusted so in the end, it was fine. The other consideration was that our plasterer was still finishing up work while DJ and his associate worked. After Dabbs left, I noticed that plaster had been scraped off a boot onto the steps leading out of the front door. The plasterers and my husband and I were exclusively using the back door at this time so by the time we discovered this, the plaster had hardened and we had to scrape it off.

DJ showed up on time (actually ahead of time). He was patient and courteous and listened to our concerns, describing different potential solutions with great care. He ended up swapping out the cores on two locks. He did it expertly and fast. I would definitely call them again.

Our experience was excellent. DJ, the owner of Dabbs Lock, was knowledgeable and friendly, punctual and provided a fair price. He returned my calls promptly and offered not only an Angie's List discount, but additional discounts on the the locks themselves. It's clear that DJ enjoys what he does and takes great pride in providing top-notch service. I would recommend Dabbs Lock wholeheartedly.

It went very well. Called earlier in the week to get an estimate for re-keying 5 locks to a new key. The person answering the phone took my name and number and DJ (the owner) called me back a few hours later. He gave me a clear estimate for the work, including pricing structure, and an Angie's List discount. He arrived and had the 5 locks re-keyed in about 45 minutes. No problems - did what he said he would and for the quoted price. Would call him again for any lock issues.

DJ came out to take a look and was extremely professional and honest the entire time. He kept me informed throughout the process as it was a bit more challenging because the lock was extremely old. DJ was able to get the door open and reconfigure the old locking mechanism so that it worked properly going forward. The initial price ($90) was much better than I expected and when I told him that I had found them on Angie's List he noted that the price would be reduced to $70. Overall it was an excellent experience and I would recommend this company to anyone.

I called them about a week or two in advance, knowing that I'd want to change the locks after September 1st and told them that I preferred the earliest after the 1st as possible, and they were able to schedule time the first business day after that date. They were supposed to come at 6:00, but were between 10 and 15 minutes late. I still gave them an "A" for punctuality b/c they called 10 minutes before 6:00 to tell me they were running 10 minutes late and that if that was not ok, we could reschedule. Since it was the end of the day, I thought that was perfectly acceptable to be running 10 minutes behind, and calling made a huge difference. They came and changed all the locks to one new key, as I requested, and were done in about 15-20 minutes. They thanked me for my business and brought up the Angie's List discount which I forgot about. Overall a very positive experience

This was a very smooth and professional transaction. I called on Monday morning and DJ answered the phone. I set up an appointment for Wednesday with a two-hour window, 1pm - 3pm. DJ arrived at 1:30. He was friendly and professional. He got right to work and finished the job in about 45 minutes.

DJ was very punctual, was easy to talk to over the phone, was careful to have all the info ahead of time so that he could have everything ready for the day of service, and was very respectful of our home and time.

I called many locksmiths until I found a TRUE locksmith. He spent the time experimenting with old keys, ground some down and successfully opened the trunk and gave me a key for it. Highly recommend. Note new address is 454 Main Street in Medford. Two locksmiths combining and moved in January, 2012.

Dabbs rocks! I just moved into a new home and scheduled them to come change the lock. I was told up front how much it would cost. They were running 15 minutes late and called me to let me know. When they arrived, work was done quickly and professionally. Was amazed that I still got the $20 Angies lIst discount for a $60 job . . . I will recommend Dabbs to everyone I know and use them whenever I have a need.

DJ arrived at my residence and quickly assessed the situation (door type, construction, plumb, lock type, key type, etc.) and within an hour he rekeyed the dead bolt to match the existing house locks, installed the dead bolt, plumbed the door, alligned the existing lock, secured the door hinges. Job finished. DJ is polite and professional and the price came in within his estimate. I will absolutely call him again when needed.

DJ arrived on time to re-key two doors at my new place. He was friendly, efficient and competent. A few days later, I realized that the key given to me by the previous owner for my mailbox did not work. I called up Dabbs and explained that I wanted to get the mailbox lock re-keyed as well. I asked what it would cost for the second call. They said there would be no service call fee, because they had just come out, and they would only charge for the job! DJ and another Dabbs locksmith came out this time (arriving on time, again) and they went to work on the mailbox lock. It was stuck, so they drilled it out. Overall, I was very impressed.

The person on the phone was very friendly and explained everything to us and the whole process as well as how the pricing works. Our appointment was for 12:00 on a Saturday and DJ actually showed up a little earlier, which was great. We went around and I showed him all of the doors that needed to be re-keyed and he was very nice and friendly and it was a pleasure having him work in the house. All of the work was done very professionally and we are very happy we chose Dabbs for our locksmith. He even gave us a discount on some new door knobs and deadbolts out of pure generosity. We will now always call Dabbs for any locksmith needs.

I called Dabb just before I was going to head away on vacation. My kitchen door knob/lock wasn't working properly. Dabb responded and met me at the house within a few days of my call and in time for the start of my vacation. Kitchen door lock was repaired quickly, At that point I mentioned an issue with my front door lock and the technician said he'd take a look. Within minutes he'd fixed that too. The tech was great. He was friendly and educated me on how my locksets were working. He responded so quickly to my call that i was able to comfortably leave on vacation. He wasn't at the house long at all -- took care of everything within 15-20 mins of arrival , and his fee was really fair. I would use his services again.
