Felicia was a huge help at decluttering and organizing our home office. She worked with both my husband and I, separately and together, to sort through things and organize them. She was especially helpful in going through years and years of old invoices and bills and setting up a filing system that worked for us. Also, once we got rolling she was able to work independently, which was very important to me. As an added bonus, for a reasonable fee, Felicia will take things and donate them or get rid of them on Freecycle.

Felicia did a fantastic job organizing my garage and basement. She was very meticulous and labelled some if the important items. She was very fast at her job and responded promptly to emails and phone calls.

I have been working with Felicia at Spotted Salamander since 2008. We first met when I had a garage full of boxes and "stuff" which badly needed weeding out, bit by bit. After that it was the kitchen, then my home office, then closets, then the library, then we went into maintenance mode. After I moved to the Cape in 2009, Felicia helped me set up the new house, which was no small feat. Her work is excellent - she is sensitive to her client's feelings and has a great feel for what can be accomplished without being pushy. She is fantastically organized herself and digs in to work through tasks in a methodical, orderly way. I have without hesitation recommended her business to friends, who are just as pleased as I am. She is that wonderful mix of professional and personable which makes it a delight to work alongside her. I can't recommend her highly enough.

I have worked with Felicia of Spotted Salamander countless times, and have a hard time choosing which tasks she did that are "most important". What I can tell you is that she is the most consciousnesses service provider I have ever worked with. She assesses what needs to be done, she makes a list, she lets you know what it will cost - and then she comes prepared to WORK. Clearly on her own time she prepares for her day's work and arrives ready to get it DONE. She routinely gets more done in one hour than any other person can do - which helps offset what reticence you might feel about cost (I have price shopped her rates - they are very competitive). She staged my own home for sale a couple of years ago. As a Realtor, I knew she hit just the right note when I received multiple offers and sold above asking price. Knowing how she can make spaces work efficiently and look oh-so-appealing, I have hired her many times in the new home to pick away at project to make the new place "just right"

She came in assessed the old space, made suggestions for how much we would need to get rid of (after looking at the new space), helped create a floor plan for how we would utilize the space, and helped us prioritize the items we owned based on usage. She even helped us with some physical labor when needed (I have a bad back). She left us to implement her plan and then came back a few weeks later to see how it all came together. I will be using her again to help in my home.

Felicia came and we surveyed the house. We then went systematically room-by-room determining what was no longer needed and determining which objects would be kept, donated, sold or thrown away. The objects that were kept were organized so they would be handy and useful for me. We have for the most part completed the living quarters of the house and are now completing the basement which was completely out of control. Felicia is a pleasure to work with. we have matching senses of humor and the rapport is excellent. It is a pleasure to work with her. She has provided great advice on how to dispose of no longer wanted goods and has even help to cart away books and find people who might be interested in various objects. I recommend her without reservation and would enthusiastically call upon her should the need arise.

I have been working with Felicia for several months on different projects (she charges an hourly rate and I pay as I go). I have been very happy working with her. She made my move so much easier by helping me to pack up then settle in my new home (painting, shopping for furniture and decorative items and decorating several rooms). Felicia is full of energy and has helped me to not feel overwhelmed by the tasks. I could NOT have managed this move without her. My new home is everything I hoped for, in large part due to her hard work. She is amazing and I will continue to work with her to organize my craft area. I highly recommend her!

My husband has been trying to get me to have an organizer come to our home for years and years but I have always been too embarrassed and ashamed of my huge piles of paper, overflowing and junk-filled closets, cabinets and drawers (not to mention the horror of the basement) to get in touch with anyone. Well, I finally caved, and sent out a few timid emails to a few organizers at Angies List. Felicia got right in touch with us, we made an appointment, and I would say the experience has been, really, life-changing. Not only is she totally professional and skilled -- very punctual and responsive to emails and calls, really efficient and brilliant at organizing in ways that work for you -- but she is really nice, funny and fun to work with. She is very down-to-earth and completely non-judgmental about one's messes, piles, clutter, etc. She will laugh right along with you about the huge, stuffed carnival dog you got your child at a yard sale, about the wrench and hammer you inexplicably keep in your kitchen utensil drawer and your three-year-old box of mateless mittens. The first time she was here, we tackled our downstairs coat and sports equipment closet, our bathroom and den closets, and a particularly difficult 'junk' drawer in the kitchen. The next time we took on my own (particularly scary) closet, my sons' toy cabinet and games, and their closet. The next, we created a filing system that's working much better for me. She checks in on subsequent appointments to see how the systems put in place are working, because she says if they're not working, they could be changed to better suit your needs/methods/personality. Also, she will take things to Good Will or Free-Cycle for you if you want, so you don't feel terrible about throwing away perfectly good things that you aren't using anymore. She will get supplies at the store to help with the organizing, and even took two of our favorite old VHS tapes to have them converted to DVDs. Her rates are very reasonable, she will do as little or as much as you want or are ready to do, will help you create systems that make your life flow and function much more smoothly. She's been here four or five times, and the stress level in the whole house is hugely reduced, because everything just works better, and there aren't tasks just lingering out there that we've forgotten about because of disorganization. Also, if you want she will share her knowledge of organizing, so that you have skills you can use forever. She is GREAT!!!

I have used a number of organizers over the last few years, and she is one of the best. I recommend her highly. I have given her name to two others who have used her services, and they too found her very helpful. I would hire again any time I have organizing needs. She is terrific.

Felicia has great ideas and suggestions for how we can get different things accomplished. For general organizing, we work until we are done. For small projects, she does the research, assesses the cost of the project and presents that for discussion with options. From there, we can either work together or she can work independently, and is very efficient. Everything is always completed in a professional manner, and she communicates thoroughly to ensure we are satisfied, and will make adjustments where necessary. Felicia has so much energy, she can get anything done, and helps me plow through as well. Most recently she negotiated on our behalf with a vendor who made a mistake with a delivery, and she was able to check in on our house and install light timers while we were away.

I am deeply appreciative to use Felicia's services. She has boundless energy and no task is to daunting for her to approach. I also appreciate the extra steps she takes to help out (bringing items to a donation center on her way home, for example).
