Description of Work: I presented a request for proposal to several general contractors including S & H. They did not respond in a timely manner. The request for proposal was clear and included heating work to be done. The project manager who made the initial visit had to come a second time due to the fact that the plumber did not accompany him during the initial assessment. The bid that was submitted was subtantially higher than the other contractors and when I requested an itemized list of cost S& H never resubmitted the proposal or returned my call.

Description of Work: We had a major issue with wood paneling in the two upstairs bedrooms. One solution was to rip down the paneling and replace with insulation and drywall, along with the ceilings. We were not expecting to have to do this. I contacted S+H and they moved very fast to come out and look at the work and provide a thorough and timely estimate. We worked with Dave Madden and he was extremely professional. Our painting contractor, also found on Angie's List, proposed a low cost solution that we opted for, only because our budget did not allow for major remodeling for something that we thought was a relatively quick fix prior to purchasing the home. Take my advice and contact S+H for an estimate. See for yourself.

Description of Work: SET UP APPOINTMENT AND AFTER 2 CONFIRMATION PHONE CALLS --DID NOT SHOW. WAITED HALF THE DAY FOR THEM AND THEY NEVER CALLED TO RESCHEDULE OR EXPLAIN.
