With regards to this move, my wife and I needed our furniture and belongings moved from the two bedroom, two story townhouse we were renting to our newly purchased home. Having both been in our 40s when we married a year earlier, we had more than our share of ?stuff?; and since one our shared passions is reading, we have a ton of books?literally? A self move was briefly considered, but we quickly settled on having Stairhopper do the heavy lifting. When I called to make the reservation, they were very friendly and professional, and when I mentioned that I had used them before, they even gave me a small discount. On moving day, they called about ten minutes before they were supposed to arrive to let me know they were on their way. Once they arrived, we did a quick walk through of the apartment with them and let them know some of the specific issues. We had already packed all the boxes and disassembled the beds so as to save time (with a move, time is money), but as I mentioned before, we have a good deal of stuff. They wrapped the furniture in pads and made sure all the parts where properly packaged up for the trip and an hour and half later, they had the apartment cleared out. From there, I escorted them down the street to a storage locker to retrieve its contents. Of course my locker was as far from the loading area as you can get, but they managed to get everything in one trip and we were on our way in no time. Once at our destination, I walked them through the house so they could see where everything was going. The new home has just one rather tight staircase to the second floor and an even tighter one to the third floor, so it was a little bit of a challenge. But the guys jumped in; once the furniture was in the right rooms, the boxes started flowing in and those guys really moved. They would sometimes take two heavy boxes up at a time and not even look like they were working that hard. As they finished up with the boxes, they started putting beds back together and cleaning up all their materials; and before I knew it, they were done. From the entire move, they only got two boxes in the wrong room (out of almost a hundred of them) and managed to get all the furniture up the stairs with no damage to the furniture or the house. So it was as close to a perfect job as anyone would have a right to expect. This was the second time I have used them, and when I have any other needs, I won?t hesitate to call them again.

They were great. Mona was helpful in scheduling my move, and they were able to reschdule a few days early when I needed to. Three guys came to load up my stuff, and they were fast and considerate (they shut the door so my wife and daughter could nap while they worked). Everything got to my destination in one place, so this was really an absolutely painless move. No change to the quoted price, they were on time for pickup and delivery, and always very friendly. I wish all movers were this easy!

I was thrilled with our decision to go with Stairhoppers. The move went smoothly and we found the team to be polite, hardworking and careful. The actual move went about 1.5 h over the estimate but we felt that there was no way that they could have gone faster (they really hustled), we just had that much more to move. We have used other movers in the past and have always been disappointed. If needed, we would most definitely use Stairhoppers again as well as recommended them to friends.

They arrived right on time and it only got better from there. The movers were constantly on the go. They never seemed to fade or slow down. I was impressed with the care they took in wrapping my furniture and carrying things to and from the truck. They asked questions when it was not clear what I wanted done and they remained polite and professional throughout the move. I will definitely hire them again.

They had to completely pack my mother belongings and move her to a assisted living facility. They showed up on time and they were very professional and courteous the entire move. At the new location they had to move several times o few pieces of furniture since my mom was not decided and they didn't complain. They made sure everything arrived safe at the new place. Nothing got damaged and I was very happy with my decision of hiring them. I would do it again in a heart beat.

We were very happy with the crew that moved our belongings from Boston to Needham. They were very pleasant and did a great job. The entire process of scheduling and communicating with the company was very easy. We will have another move in the future since we left some things behind and we will definitely contact Stairhoppers again.

I found out about Stairhoppers from my future mother-in-law, who had previously used them when her mother moved into a senior center. We had a bit of a moving nightmare on our hands, as my fiancee lived on a 3rd floor of a classic triple-decker, and had some big, heavy furniture to move out. Being as this was our first time and my fiance had a hefty security deposit in the balance, I decided to meet with the manager and ask him about not only my fiance's possessions, but also make sure the property wasn't going to be damaged on the way out. The manager was completely accommodating, even coming down to the house to check it out while on another job to make sure there would be no issues with the narrow staircase. Moving day came and the boys were there bright and early to help get everything out while we went to work. Make no mistake, this was a huge job and a major pain because my fiance has three antique curio cabinets, as well as a LOT of collectibles to fill them. The team not only got the cabinets down three flights of narrow stairs without a scratch, they didn't so much as scuff the paint on the walls doing it. The guys worked their tails off to pack the truck and get it to the storage unit we rented outside the city, and called to let us know it was done so we wouldn't have to worry about the timeframe of our move. Having unpacked everything over the weekend, all the antiques were packed tight and intact, and her bad frames, dressers and leather couch were all no worse for the journey to their new home. I found Stairhopper Movers on Angies list and we decided to hire them to move our 2 bedroom condo within Charlestown. We found them to be very professional, careful and respectful movers. They showed up on time and worked in a very organized manner. The building we were moving out was very picky about the moving requirements but Stairhoppers provided all the insurance they've been requesting including workers comp. Everything went very well and we couldn't be more happier using them for our move.

Stairhopper Movers did an amazing job moving us from our 3 bedroom home in Holliston MA to a 2 bedroom condo in Boston MA. We had them pack our kitchen and dinning room since I was too afraid not to pack it well and brake it. The movers worked very hard and they were very professional the entire move. Everything was wrapped in protective blankets and they even covered our antique china cabinet and flat screen TV with cardboard. With very competitive rates and quality services, for sure, Stairhopper Movers it's the best choice if you are looking for a good and reputable moving company.

We just finished unpacking the last 2 boxes (excluding all those book boxes tucked in the closets :-)). I wanted to, belatedly, let everybody know how happy we were with Stairhoppers. The office staff was always very helpful, and the movers were professional, friendly, and hard working. Not a single item was broken....even our glassware, china, and crystal arrived in one piece. My husband and I recently moved using Stairhopper Movers from a 2 bedroom condo to a single family home in Ashland MA. Booking was easy, over the phone, no complications, the customer service we received from their office staff was amazing. The moving crew showed up on time and we were very impressed how fast they were able to get things done. Everything got protected by the moving blankets they provide free of charge and absolutely nothing got damaged during the move. Obviously we were the most concerned about the walls and the floors at the new house but they got them covered during the unload and everything went great. We are definitely happy with their service and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a good moving company.

From initial contact to final move, everyone at Stairhoppers was very responsive, informative, and accomodating. They were able to schedule my move within a week, and offered to come earlier when a previous job fell through (but no pressure to change the times). The three guys that showed up were extremely dilligent, hard-working and careful with our belongings. This is a perfect example of the way this company did business: even though they are paid by the hour, during the move we had to cross the Sullivan Square rotary where there was ongoing work. This was causing a major back-up on Cambridge street, and without having to say something about going a different route, they took it upon themselves to find a detour instead of sitting in traffic and getting paid for their time. When they unloaded the truck, these guys never stopped. I'm still in awe of the way they were able to get certain pieces in our new house. We were so happy and pleased with their services I would definitely reccommend them and use them again.

We had stairhoppers move us. They were the cheapest of the bids we got. Three guys showed up to move us and they were a bit slow moving to begin with (wanted to take the elevator down half full, took one guy forever to pack the box of stemware we wanted them to pack etc.) but the move went fine. Due to a problem (not Stairhoppers fault) with getting the TV off the wall they had to move that separately another day. They moved the tv, and it no longer works. I called them and they said you signed off that it arrived okay and we can't be held responsible. Don't use this company. They are cheaper than the others but there is a reason for that. On the plus side, the movers were all pretty nice.

From the thoroughness and efficiency in scheduling our move with Mona, to the promptness and professionalism of the movers on moving day, to the way they handled all of our furniture and belongings with care. The movers were so careful and worked hard to get use moved into our new home on an extremely cold December day. These guys are top notch and their prices are excellent, too! No hidden costs, no add ons after the move is over. You are quoted a price and based on the time you use them, that's what you're billed for. Our friends used Stairhoppers and recommended to us. I would use Stairhopper Movers again and wholeheartedly recommend to anyone.
