Furniture Techs

The gentlemen from Furniture Techs were friendly, professional and above all knew alot about wood and educated me in the process. They did some of the small pieces ( chair leg reinforced, table base secured, nicks polished ) right in my home or outside on the sidewalk. Nice to not have to wait for those items. My dining room table top went out to their shop. It was very well matched and looked great when returned, although that took a little more time than originally estimated. I would both recommend them and use them again.

Contracted with company on February 14, 2011 to refinish dining room table and buffet server. They picked up furniture on March 1, 2011 and I was told they would return it in 3 or 4 weeks. Returned it to me on April 27, 2011 (8 weeks later). At that time I noticed fish eyes on table in addition to other imperfections in the refinish job. They told me something like finish was settling and they would disappear within 6 weeks. Six weeks passed and table and buffet server looked even worse than when they delivered it. Called them and they came back and did a light sanding and polished the table. Few weeks later called them to come back because table and buffet server looked even worse than before. After numerous conversations agreed to allow them to take dining room table and buffet server back to their shop to start the process oover again. They picked the furniture up on August 3, 2011 and returned it to me on October 7, 2011 (over 9 weeks later). Finished product looks pretty good now. I asked them when they picked the furniture up on August 3, 2011 to keep me updated on progress and they agreed but the only way I ever got a progress report was if I called or e-mailed them. The bottom line is they did, eventually, do a decent job. BUT I was without a dining room table for about 4 months and had to go through 7 months of hassle to get a decent product. .

Richard could not do the repair because the problem involved with how the furniture was manufactured, but he took time to explain all of this and help me get in touch with them so they could deal with the repair

THEY WERE FANTASTIC! Very professional throughout all stages, with timely phone calls, courtesy, quick service, etc.. The work they did fixing my wooden desk was very good. I am a perfectionist and asked them to refine the work a bit (at the end of the job when they asked me to inspect it), and they were very accommodating and pleasant about bringing it to exactly how I wanted it. I would definitely recommend them.

Rick was amazingly terrific in every respect. He repaired my 2 couches in the home within a week of calling. He also caned an antique chair and refinished an old cedar chest within 2 weeks and brought them back when he said he would. His fees are fair and is a complete pleasure to deal with. I cannot recommend him more highly.
