Description of Work: We used Eagle lines to move away stuff to storage, store them for 3 months and then move the rest plus the stuff from storage to our new house. We used Leo and his crew and they were amazing. Nice, polite and treat any furniture and box with a lot of care.

Description of Work: They gave me a guarenteed delivery date that they missed by one week and then admitted that they gave me that date just to get me to select them. They were cheap and quite professional until they got my stuff when they turned into a nightmare.

Description of Work: The Moving company was Eagle Lines, 59 Rosedale Rd. Watertown, Ma 02472. |Here's a listed of things they did. |1. The company sent out an estimator to determine the move size in cubic feet. He estimated 1123 cubic feet was require to complete our move Ma-to-Fl. |2. The company following with a quote and schedule a pickup date, which they were very flexible with and actually move it out a day to meet our needs. |3. On pickup day, which included packaging, itemizing, and loading of the truck. They sent a 4 man grew, they arrived on time and took 5 hours to complete packing, itemizing and loading of the truck. Note, We had packed a majority of our items using Home Depot boxes to save on costs. Plus, we disconnected the appliances the day before to prevent any slow downs. The itemize process was time consuming but was a necessary task. Each item was tagged with a red number sticker and account for on the household goods descriptive inventory worksheet. |4. The truck was marked off in 100 cubic feet increments. Once everything was on the truck, our total contents for the move was between the 1100-1200 cubic feet markers. The estimation from step 1 was right on the money for us. Please keep in mind, you may pay little more or less once the truck is finally loaded. |5. The travel time was estimated to be 5-7 days, they did it 4 days (Ma-Fl). They also called me 2 days ahead to inform me of the drop off date and time, plus they needed further details about the house, the unloading distance (truck-to-house) and if there were any restriction such as parked cars in the street. |6. Drop-off day, they were again on time and we had no issues, which included unloading, unpacking, reassemble and placing the item in the appropriate rooms. They sent out a 3-man crew and were done within 5 hours. Note, each item was check off the household goods descriptive inventory worksheet to ensure all the items were account for from step 3. | |Overall summary; I was very please with Eagle lines and had no issues or claims to report. Keep in mind, this was single story house-to-house move with no neighborhood or street restrictions to deal with. Also, we did a lot of the packing of the small house hold items and marked all the fragile boxes with red or orange tape. We also disconnected the appliances which made things go smooth...

Description of Work: The movers arrived at my home in Boston on December 19th at the designated time. There were three men; they were courteous and professional. They asked what was to be moved and did so accordingly. Their work was quick and complete. Upon arrival in Marana, Arizona the truck driver did the unloading in a professional manner, asking where items should be placed. After completion of the unloading, he asked if there was anything else he could do. I was very pleased with the service. The shipment arrived on the date originally stated.

 + -1 moreSome of the help and office staff were very nice, but some of the management group were very difficult and didn't respond to issues well. We told them one of our items of furniture needed to be hoisted rather than taken down the stairs. They ignored the request and tore up the walls and a doorway while forcing the piece down the stairs. I thought that it was incredibly unprofessional that they disregarded what we said although we knew how we got it into the house in the first place. We had a missing suitcase and asked about the suitcase to see if they took it by mistake and they said they would never have packed a suitcase, that the homeowner would have to carry their own suitcases. They had packed the suitcase (that was packed for the trip to Florida) in a box. They took the inventory sheets with them, so we could never verify what was delivered. I do not recommend using this company if you care about your belongings.
Description of Work: Moved 3 bedroom house from Boston to Vero Beach, FL. They quoted us a fair price at first, and then once all of the items were on the truck they raised the price and said if we didn't pay it our furniture might not make it to the destination. They guaranteed the price (verbally) they originally quoted of $7800. They called when we were in the hotel and gave us the news about the price increasing. We had a lot of damaged furniture.

 + -1 moreWhile the estimate process was simple and pleasant, the movers complained immediately upon arrival that there was a great deal more stuff to be moved than quoted, and they did not apparently know about the extra pickup when they first arrived. That aside, it should be noted that they were able to finish the job in the quoted time. The movers were pleasant, and efficient, but a good number of boxes were delivered to the wrong areas in the new house. They also forgot to load up a safe that we had moved - after unloading the truck at the new house, they made the trip back to the condo to move it (but the clock was still running anyways even though it was their error). They also put a pretty good scratch in a hardwood floor in the condo, and left a piece of furniture outside (and their hand truck). All that said, I'm reasonably satisfied with the move. They were pleasant enough to me, but I really could have done without their complaints about the underestimate.
Description of Work: Eagle van lines moved us from a 2 bedroom condo in Waltham to a house about 3/4 miles away. They made one pickup at a local storage facility, and delivered our stuff within the estimated time.

The office staff are very professional and responsive and provide an estimate and thorough contract very promptly. Their rates are the best I've found. I have never had any damage to my property. The crew has always arrived on time and has performed the work quickly and with a very pleasant attitude, even under trying circumstances. I would highly recommend Eagle Van Lines to anyone contemplating a move.
Description of Work: I moved 3 shelving units and a sofa bed about 40 miles.

 + 0 moreWE HAD REALLY DONE OUR HOMEWORK IN CHOOSING A MOVER, SPEAKING TO EIGHT DIFFERENT COMPANIES INCLUDING MANY ON ANGIE'S LIST. WE WERE MOST IMPRESSED WITH EAGLE VAN LINES. THEIR REP CLEARLY EXPLAINED EVERY ASPECT OF THE MOVE AND GAVE US SO MUCH MORE INFORMATION THAN ANY OTHER COMPANY. THINGS WE DID NOT EVEN KNOW TO ASK WERE EXPLAINED IN DETAIL AND EVERY THING THEY SAID WAS IN WRITING. THEY KEPT IN CONSTANT COMMUNICATION WITH US AND MADE EVERYTHING STRESS FREE. THE CREWS ON BOTH MOVE OUT AND MOVE IN DAY WERE PROFESSIONAL, POLITE, AND VERY CAREFUL WITH OUR BELONGINGS. THEY WORKED VERY HARD AND I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THEIR DILIGENCE. THE ESTIMATE WAS JUST AS THEY INDICATED. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!
