Move was excellent. Rachel in the office was very responsive to my questions. Price was competitive. Movers on both sending and receiving side were prompt, thorough, and protected our fragile items.

I did mot have a good experience with this moving company. The estimate was approximately 2,400 and my total cost ended up being approximately $4,400. I was most upset with the additional $500 I was charged for switching from the large van to smaller van for delivery. I felt as part of the estimate I should have been told that I may incur an additional fee, especially since I told them where I was moving. The man I dealt with was not nice. He threatened to drop my stuff off at a storage unit and let me get it when I expressed my displeasure with the additional charge. I will admit I was upset when I was on the phone with him. If you use this company, be sure to ask what additional charges you may experience. On the bright side, the movers were nice and only one thing broke in transit.

It went great! I'd highly recommend them.
We worked with Tony's crew. What we really liked:
  1. --The price was reasonable. We didn't have a whole house to move, just a room and a half. Everyone else prices were extremely high as if they didn't want our business.
  2. --They showed up when they said they would. They were pleasant and good workers.
  3. --It was a little unpredictable on the delivery end because of the smaller size of our load. Turned out they where earlier than we thought (this was good).
  4. --Nothing was damaged. They guys worked hard in that Florida summer heat...again very professional nice guys.
  5. --When they finished they wanted to know if they could help put anything else together.

Couldn't be happier with the service.
I think they need to update the address here as they moved to Watertown.

The move was seamless and they were very efficient and careful. The dining room table was one of the most valuable items and it looked to be hermetically sealed! I was extremely impressed and I have a great deal of experience with many moving companies and from now on, Eagle will always be my first choice. Job well done!

Tony from Eagle Lines was excellent, he was professional and attentive. Tony also suggested a different day to assist in saving money for the move. It was the busiest weekend to move and Tony helped up with our last minute move.
Also, we were supposed to move to a new home and the sale fell through just a couple days before the move. The movers were excellent and had no problem with the change in plans. They were efficient, professorial and very courteous. They gave us information on the difference between moving and storing and explained what would keep our belongings safe in a storage unit. They were cautious with all belongings and got them all ready for storage.
The three men who moved us were the kindest and courteous men!!! They never complied or acted irresponsible or unprofessional. They worked in a very fast paced manor and were cautious when moving everything. They never took a break or lounged around. They are truly the best movers we have ever used!!! We have moved before and the other movers were sub par compared to these workers.
When we move to our new location we will definitely rehire and ask for the same crew!!!

This was my first time using a moving company and I called several companies for quotes. Eagle responded the quickest and provided the most realistic quote. I decided to go with them even before I signed up for Angies List after I checked them out with the BBB. I'd been working with Tai Gur and he was GREAT! The movers arrived later than I had planned but once they were there they made quick time in getting my furniture and boxes in the truck. I lived on the 3rd floor of an apartment building with no elevator and the poor guys had to lug all my stuff down. It took 1.5 hours to move a 2.5 bedroom apartment, I packed myself.Including travel time from Georgetown to Reading the total move took less than 3 hours and nothing was broken. They even helped assemble my furniture upon delivery and helped set up my bedroom and living room furniture! It was a huge help since I am a single parent and moving the heavy furniture alone can be cumbersome. I was very impressed with everyone's professionalism and hard work! I would definately use Eagle Van Lines in the future and would recommend them to anyone looking for a moving company. They left my apartment building spotless and my new home perfect! Thank you guys!

Overall pretty well. There were a handful of items broken. They could have been more careful. The items broken were all ones that hadn't been pre-packed into boxes.

I am a very consumer conscious person, so I did my homework and checked out many companies before choosing the movers for my daughter from Boston to Las Vegas. Since she would be out of the country when the move would occur, and I would be flying in from the West Coast to meet the movers, I had to make sure that everything was well planned out. I began by checking the Internet and Angie's List and reading as many reviews as possible, and talking to the various companies. I received bids anywhere from $1,000 to $3,500. The moving business is a very tricky one to rate, because cost is not always parallel with quality. Some companies charge by distance, others by weight, and still others by volume. I believe that as laymen, we are kind of led blindly by this whole process, since we have to trust the company without being part of the move after our valuables leave until they arrive at our destination. It's not as if a painter paints a room a certain color and if one isn't happy with it, he can say that he doesn't like it and then the room gets repainted. Once your items are loaded, you are at the mercy of your movers and have no control over anything until your items are delivered. Unfortunately, moving companies often have a sleazy image, which doesn't make the decision as to whom to use any easier.
I found one company, Eagle Lines, based out of Boston, and the guy seemed nice, friendly, to the point, and his prices were very, very reasonable. However, my and quot;be awareand quot; radar erupted, and thoughts came up such as, and quot;If it sounds too good to be true...and quot;, and quot; It'll be a bait and switch scam, and quot; etc. His contact name was and quot;Tai Gurand quot; (as in and quot;Tigerand quot;), so I immediately became suspicious and thought...and quot;Really? Is this a joke or what? Who has such a name?and quot; Which company could I trust? Who would be honest? Finally, with the clock ticking down to having to make a final decision, I did decide to go with and quot;Tai Gurand quot; at Eagle Lines.
We met on a Sunday in August, 2011 and the move was to take place the following Thursday. Mr. Gur (it was his real name!) was as polite as possible and he quoted me in person what he had originally told me over the phone. There were no extra or hidden charges of any kind (I had a few extra items than I originally thought and had to only pay a minimal amount over what we initially discussed). In fact, he gave me a letter to take to City Hall in order to reserve a parking spot for his moving truck on the day of the move. By my arranging it instead of him, I saved some money.
On Thursday, the movers came as promised and were very respectful, hardworking, and professional. They packed up everything and loaded it onto the truck quickly without a problem. The guys were even nice enough to give me a ride to the hotel after they finished!
I was told that the items would arrive to my destination in about 10 - 14 days. Well, they arrived within 12 days and were extremely careful as they unloaded my daughter's things. They were wonderful about putting the items into various places throughout the house.
Not one thing was ruined nor lost with the move. It could not have been a more pleasant and positive experience. I would absolutely, 100% hire this company again for a move across the street or across the country.

Moving my son from Boston to LA, we received a number of quotes ranging up to $4,500. My son had a very tight schedule, and Eagle Lines (Tony) was very accommodating in being sure that he was moved there on time. The rate was very reasonable ($1,400). They were on time, organized, and professional. We were very pleased with the quality and cost of the move. Would definitely use them again.

I would think twice before hiring this moving company. Lets start with the quote. The original quote was off by $250 even after deciding not to ship a large tv after being told (on moving day) it would be an extra $85 to have it protected with a box. There are many small hidden charges that you will not be aware of until moving day and when you get your credit card statement. My final invoice read $1492 after the truck was loaded, yet there was a mysterious "vehicle expenses" charge on my credit card statement which brought the total charges up to $1630. Also, they do not mention that they want the remainder of the payment in cash or bank check, until after they have begun loading the truck. I refused to pay in cash and only offered my credit card as payment. Over all the guys who did the actual moving were polite, gentle showed up on time and did their job, but when it was time to assemble the furniture they took apart we found that they were unable to. The second set of moving guys who delivered our furniture had absolutely no skill and were incapable of putting an Ikea bed back together. Moments after the moving guys walked out of our bedroom to inform us that our bed was assembled and ready to go we went into our room to check things out. By this time the guys were in the truck and on their way to the next job. As soon as my wife sat on the bed, one corner of our mattress went up while the area where my wife was sitting collapsed. I pulled up the mattress to find that none of the fasteners had been installed and the center support beam was just laying in place unattached to any part of the bed frame. The bed was so poorly put together my wife and I looked at each other and laughed in disbelief. We both said "could these guys possibly be this stupid to think that this is the way the bed is supposed to look?" Fortunately I am handy enough to put the bed back the way it was intended. But for the amount of money I paid I would expect everything to be perfect. Now on top of the hidden fees, deceiving quote, and poorly skilled labor, I did not see my furnishings for over 2 weeks. It took a total of 16 days from the day they arrived at my apartment till the day they delivered my furnishings at my new home. The sales rep said it would take "3-5 days" from the time the truck left my apartment. It does say in small lettering on the quote that they moving company has up to 14 days to deliver your stuff, but that is up to you to figure out. You will not be told this. Over all I am most unhappy that they do not reveal the true cost of the move until the move is completed. If there is a charge to package a tv, i think the sales rep should disclose this in the quote along with any additional "vehicle expenses". The labor could have been better, but If that was all that was wrong with this company I would not be writing this review. Lastly they should make it clear from the beginning that they have no idea when your stuff is going to arrive and that you are taking a risk by planning your trip around the salesman's estimated time of arrival for your furnishings. I chose this company after reading the many positive reviews on this site. After my first hand experience I tend to doubt that any of these reviews were written by actual customers. A quick google search for this companies name will review more negative reviews than positive. In hindsight I wish I did more research before making any arrangements. Hopefully I this review will save someone else the aggravation I went through.

I spent about $350. My experience with them was good. They were quick and efficient. It was basically around expected lines. There wasn’t anything that was exceptional or something that just blew me away. It was whatever I had expected. They came, picked up the things and wrapped whatever was needed. They took it and put it all down in the other place. They were quick. I would use their services in the future too.

Overall everything went very smoothly...They were punctual, informative, efficient and were very professional. I was paying a lot of money to have them move us so I was looking to make sure that things were done right. I am very picky and I didn't have anything to complain about. It was a positive experience and I will hire them again and will recommend them to my friends. I also use them for my storage space now and the storage spaces are very nice and extremely affordable.

I recently moved with Eagle and was very happy. Although my move was only 2 streets up the movers were very careful and wrapped all of my belongings. I never used a moving company before, and I must say that I was very pleased with the service, every one was very nice and worked hard.

Every piece of our furniture was delivered on time and without anything damaged or misplaced. Their pick-up and delivery crew members were awesome and worked their tails off until the job was done. It was the best moving experience we could of ever had. I will refer you guys in the future to all of our friends who may need a GREAT mover like Eagle Van Lines.

After 15 years we needed to move. Our neighbor used Eagle Lines a year before and highly recommended them. This whole move was a great experience for us. First, they send an estimator for free who sat with us for an hour and answered all of our questions. He gave us a binding quote because we're really priced conscious. Move day five movers showed up and worked relentlessly for over 13 hours. They packed everything, wrapped everything and put it very carefully on the truck. They were so polite and quiet. The move ended with no damages and we were greatly satisfied. The move cost, by the way, was exactly as the quote. Few days after the move, Eagle Lines send a truck to pick up all the used boxes at no cost to us.

I was happy that everything arrived intact. They moved everything without a mishap. On the receiving end the lady who they were picking up the merchandise from waited for them but they showed up the next day. She went out her way to have the merchandise available. They had some miscommunication. To avoid any miscommunication, I would keep in touch with the driver more closely.

Eagle did a fine job on the 1st move. I did notice one of my chairs was thrown in the truck by one of the movers but once I expressed my concern, he did not do such act again in the move. I requested to Eagle that I'd like to take a look at how all my things are stored because there were too many things that I just wanted to comfort myself to see them in the storage. Eagle initially hesitated but later on agreed on my visit there and showed me how my things were stored. Eagle did not welcome my request initially which to me was strange. On the second move, one box and 4 sofa cushions were missing, some damage was done to computer desk and entertainment center. I had been asked to follow a claims process which was way too complex requiring a lot of effort, not really worth of the items missed /damaged. I was told there is no other means to live up to customer satisfaction. I find it rather odd as Eagle is rated so highly in Angie's. Overall, my experience was below my expectations.

I thought that they were very good. They did underestimate a little bit, but they were good with organization. Nothing got broken or anything like that. They handled our furniture very well. The charges for them kind of vary. They did rather well I think. I would recommend them. The only thing I did not like was that they were a little underestimating.

I selected Eagle for my move primarily due to their responsiveness and flexibility. Their price was slightly higher than a couple of other companies, but they were very friendly, called me back within 24 hours after I sent an inquiry in, and were flexible when I needed to schedule my move for the afternoon. The team also moved all of my furniture on maybe the hottest day this summer, with no complaints and no change in their efficiency. They did not nickel and dime me with supplies like other companies that tape everything up and then charge you for the rolls of tape and they were creative in getting things up to the apartment through some awkward angles.
