Mister Sparky

I got them on Angie's List. Mister Sparky was horrible. They guy ended up talking to my wife for $900 worth of electrical changes saying that we have some problems in our box that's going to make the house burn down. We got it all resolved because we called them and they came out the next day. It was a bad experience. I used them again out of desperation. The guy came out and really didn't do anything. It was a breaker box and he left the door open. He took fuses out and left them outside of the box. I called the manager out so the next day they came back and fixed it. I wouldn't use Mister Sparky again. They never fixed the plug. It was a bad service. They came out on time.

It went extremely well. They were on time, ready to work, polite, clean, thorough and efficient.

I couldn't be happier. The service was scheduled promptly (we're moving & trying to complete things quickly). I received a call letting me know when he'd be arriving. The technician was prompt, friendly, professional, and didn't mind my crazy dogs. He found the problem quickly and gave me a run-down of my options to fix it. It ended up being an easy fix and b/c it was done so fast, he lowered the price to reflect that.

Dave was a top notch electrician in my opinion. He initially came out to do what he could but had to return after I purchased light fixtures for the outside porch. Both visits were scheduled and on time. I will not hesitate to call Mister Sparky for any future electrical needs.

Dave was my electrician, and he did a wonderful job. He removed the outdated florescent light in our kitchen, and replaced it with the most beautiful pocket lights. Dave was honest about work that needed to be preformed.

Excellent. I will use Mister Sparky again.

He was very kind and careful. Unfortunately the wasp that stung him was not. Ugh. He said it came out so fast and he was not even near it so maybe had babies? Got some alcohol and put on sting and he said felt better when he left. So sorry for that happening! Our trash pickup was the day he came and the trash can was sitting near his truck and on his way back he brought it and put in front of my garage door where I keep it. What a nice thing to do for someone! Beyond anyone's expectations! He will be blessed for that and I so appreciate him! All in all, well done young man, well done! Would definitely hire again but will get rid of the wasp first! Can't thank you enough for your kind an professional services!

Everything went great! Sam showed up to do the work. He was on time and seemed enthused to do the work. He was friendly and polite, and listened carefully to the list of work that I needed done. It was a very hot day for outside work, but Sam was committed to getting it all done in one visit. I really appreciated this because now my other contractors can come during the week and I don't have to worry about interference. I didn't comment on the price, because I didn't entertain other offers to compare theirs to.

Quick service on New Year's Day. Tec. researched and found the problem. He explained in detail what was the cause of the outage and the cost of correcting the problem before starting the work. After completing the repairs he cleaned up and put the rooms back to their original condition.

They have done work for me in the past. I thought it was covered under warranty so I wasn't that pleased with the extra expense.

I called for an appointment. Response was prompt and professional. I had used Mr. Sprarky before. As before, service was timely, professional and reasonably priced. Will definitely use Mr. Sparky in the future.

Explained well why the work was necessary.Worked quickly and professionally. Once we got over the shock of the price, we asked around and determined to our satisfaction that the price was consistent with other contractors. The tecnician even came back at 8 pm to repair a problem that arose.

That was at a rental property that I have in New Orleans. My tenant told me that they mentioned that I would need a new system and they tried to sell one to him. That turned okay and I thought the price was excellent.

The person Mr. Sparkey sent to us was amazing. He had been recruited by them from up North because he said they couldn't find anyone suitable for the company here in Louisiana. He was extremely polite and professional and very thorough. The breaker box outside was basically an antique and had to be replaced. Dave, the electrician , explained everything that had to be done and why. It was an all day affair. He also dealt with Entergy, had them come out and fix their problem. He came back to double check on everything and walked through the house to check everything inside. For such a lot of work, it wasn't that much of a hassle for us.

Great! on time just like they say which goes a long way in nola. Very helpful above and beyond the services purchased. Will certainly keep Mr Spark in the rolodex

Everything went PERFECT. Lighting directly hit my house and caused a fire in the attic. After the fire was put out, Entergy had to take the meter due to electrical system damage. This happened on a Sunday. The next day - on Monday - we called Mister Sparky around mid morning and Christian came out one hour later and inspected the breakers inside and outside of the house. Also checked wiring in the attic. After he reviewed everything he sat down with us and clearly explained what was wrong, what would need replacing, how long it would take, and costs. Costs were flat rates based on type of work and easy to understand (no per/hour labor charges, etc). Work was started immediately and completed within a few hours and we were able to get power turned back on later that evening after receiving our meter back from Entergy (required permit from parish). We found a bad GFI the next day and Christian came back out quickly to repair it - and also checked all other outlets in the house to make sure everything else was OK. I would highly recommend Mister Sparky as they came out the same day that we called, started repairs immediately, and did and excellent job! Christian was very friendly and took time to explain everything to us, show us the damage, and even take pictures in some difficult to reach places and texted them to us for insurance claim purposes.

I was extremely pleased with all of the services performed today. My technicians were Jason and Dave. They showed up at the time expected and immediately went to work. They were extremely professional and polite, yet friendly. Any questions that I had were answered. I really appreciated the attention to details and the quality of work. Anytime either one of them entered my home, they put on shoe covers, would remove them as they went outside, put them back on to come in again, etc. They totally cleaned up and removed all debris and walked me around to explain everything they did. They performed top quality work. I will not only use this company for all future electrical needs, but I will request Jason again. I will let all family and friends know about this company and their standards!

Great-very punctual and professional.

Told rep would be at my home at 8:40AM; he arrived at 9:30. I schedule repairs so I don't miss much work time. Their ad: On Time Guaranteed! got my attention but that's not the case with Mr. Sparky!

Over all Dave did a good job. He was friendly, professional and quick. I may use them again...however, I found their pricing system non-transparent and suspect may be a bit overpriced...at least it felt that way. For this reason the overall grade of B due to pricing concerns. They charge a $39 service fee that is added on top of the charges for work. They claim to use a "Stringfellow Pricing Guide" to price each job they perform but I could not find any reference for it searching the internet (Google search). This leads me to believe it is propriatary. Based upon the Google hits for pricing guides, use of this approach may simply be an industry wide practice that may or may not be clear to customers. I went with the service for two primary reasons: 1) same day service, and 2) the grounding of the electrical panel was a $550 job by itself (or higher) based upon previous estimates I had obtained. That would suggest the over all job was within the anticipated $75 service call + $75/hr quoted by other outfits (it took him the better part of 3.5 hrs. Sooo...the cost of the job may simply be consistent with what I might have paid with another service provider.

Perfect, Sam did a great job and got some further work which was also done well.

They are salesmen first not electrian . He was selling at the door package deals without looking at the problem.they don't work by hr but by package deals . Not my cup of tea.

Had already worked with Jason on another day to diagnose the problems I was having. Jason was very professional and patient in describing the problem I was having. I had tons of questions since this is a new house for us, and Jason had no problem explaining what was going on and how I should go about fixing it. The up front pricing that Mister Sparky uses is nice, since you know there will be no surprises at the end of the job. Would highly recommend Mister Sparky, and Jason in particular, for all your electrical needs.

We've used them before. We were really satisfied with them. I think they were a little overpriced but that was fine.

They price by the job, so the price is high enough to cover any issues they may encounter. Since they encountered several issues with my house, I imagine that the cost for time and materials would have been about the same regardless. But if you know what you have is a simple job, they may not be the best vendor for your needs. Everything they worked on for me still works 1 1/2 years later!!
