I met with Lori in April of 2010 and agreed to purchase a Manufactured Home. I was told that they would walk me through everything that I needed to do in order to get the home installed. It turned out that I was responsible for getting all permits, inspections, etc. but was not told this in the beginning. They were absolutely NO help with any of this. My home was delivered on May 7, 2010 and I was told that all I had to do was sit back and relax because things would go fast from now on. That was a lie. After the first week NO one went near the house and after I called to check the status and complain, I was told by the Owner, Jacob, that I was holding up the progress because of some permits that I didn't get. Another lie. I had gotten all of the permits and I had proof. Then we were waiting on the water well to be drilled so we could get the water tested. I told them to let me know when it was going to be drilled and I would take are of the test right away (because evidentally it was my responsibity). The well was drilled and I only knew about it because my son happened to drive by one evening. As it turns out it was drilled 2 or 3 days before and I was not notified. I had to take the water sample to a local lab (@$75 a pop) and the results take 2 to 3 weeks. Of course it failed and that meant another $75 and weeks of waiting. It failed again and when I called to complain I was told that I should get a sample from somewhere else and turn that in. Well, that almost put me over the edge. It was only when I was complaining to a friend, who happens to be a builder, that I found out that I could have went to the Dept of Health, paid $100 and they would go out, take the sample, test it and give me the results within a day or 2 and go out and get samples as many times as it took all for the initial $100. Finally, after a few more run ins, we closed at the end of July 2010. Whenever I would discover something that needed repair I would email them (for proof) and it would take weeks and usually another few emails to get a response. I had a leak in the roof vent in my hall bath and it took several weeks and several tries before they got that right. I did complain to the Owner and all he was interested in was arguing with me and accusing me of things that were not true (like influenicing my neighbors who were going through their own h*** with them that had nothing to do with me) The laminate is currently peeling off of my cabinet doors and it has been almost 10 months that I have been waiting for replacements. I have 2 neighbors who have had the same horrible expereince with these people so I know it is not just me or the salesperson...it is the whole operation. I could go on and on but frankly I am tired of talking about them and just want to warn other unsuspecting people.
