Tom Drexler Plumbing Air & Electric

From the first phone call to the end of service, everything was top notch. Scheduling was easy. They called when the technician was on his way, he came on time, took his time looking at everything to be sure he understood what was going on and what needed to be done. When he did the work he was very concerned about making it as least invasive as possible and kept cutting into the walls to access the pipes to a minimum. When he was finished he cleaned everything up (including the cat little I had spilled on the floor) and made sure I was completely satisfied.

Mark Letner showed up on time , curteous friendly and knowledgable. I've used Drexler plumbing numerous times and they always do a wonderful job. Great price and service as well. They're my plumber for life!

Serviceman was knowledgeable and professional. Seemed to be very competent.

Tech Chuck Terry from Tom Drexler Plumbing came out to look at our water heater which had, we were certain, at least one heating element in it that was bad. We'd just had Drexler replace them both in October 2013, so it shouldn't have needed attention again so soon, but it did. We always request Chuck or another tech named Dave Champion. Everyone from Drexler is great, but those two in particular are wonderful. Until January of this year (2014) we had a 15 year old German Shepherd that had a terminal auto-immune disease, so we always asked that EVERYONE who came to our home wear booties over their shoes to protect Holly and other vendors sometimes would balk at wearing them or even refuse (Standifer and Sons for what was Insight!) to put them on. Holly was old, nearly deaf and couldn't see very well, and she'd always been frightened when repair folks came out from any company, but she was completely in love with both Chuck and Dave. They would pet her, let her sit with them, treated her like she mattered and that spoke volumes to me. First thing Chuck said when he came in was how sorry he was to hear we'd lost Holly--I had told Brittany when I called for the appointment that she'd passed. I blubbered and talked about Holly for a few minutes and Chuck listened, really listened, as I cried about her. He didn't have to take time out of his busy Saturday to listen to me, but he did and again repeated how sorry he was for our loss. He got down to business with the water heater and it was as we'd expected, the elements were bad again. He replaced them, left me NO mess, and even put the towels I'd left for him to use in the washer! All of this wonderful service and they didn't charge us a penny! We have used Tom Drexler Plumbing for the last few years and we love them, will continue using them, and will be using the Heating and Air part of the company from now on, too. Can't say enough good things about everyone who works for the company--they are all wonderful--and for the company itself since rarely do you find companies who stand behind their product and fix it FOR FREE these days. There's always some hidden fee, at least a service call, but not so with Drexler. Plus, they'll come out in the middle of the night if you need them to and a service agreement for about $175 a year covers four "tune-ups" of your heating and air, coming out immediately regardless of what time it is, a plumbing inspection, discounts on any parts you need, and some other stuff I can't remember, but it more than pays for itself in a couple of visits. Use Drexler. You won't be sorry.

At frist they quote 918. then it when down to 731.93 to 696.93 with a 35.00 coupon.. the plumber call for help to finish the job. they completed the job in 2hrs. I feel like i was over charged. this was the second time we use their services. too high.

I waited a few months to write this review because I wanted to make sure the project was complete and we wouldn't have any issues with the plumber we went with. The representative from Drexler was friendly, showed up on time and courteous (he made sure not to track any mud in the house or anything). However, the bid we received was more than four times what the other two plumbers we contacted quoted for the same work (all three plumbers quoted PEX) Some of the explanations given for why some work 'needed' to be done didn't really make sense (for instance - replacing a short section of copper line that was installed a few years ago, and that the other two plumbers said looked fine), and the bid did not clearly detail the work that was to be done. Overall I consider the experience a lesson in why you get multiple bids from multiple contractors before you choose one to work on your home.

Tom Drexler Plumbing ("Drexler") provided a bid to move and later reinstall a toilet and one pedistal sink so a new tile floor could be laid in a residentail half bath. After first complaining about the nature of the job, Drexler provided a bid of over $2,000.00 and actually offered to finance the work for $168/month. My wife thought this estimate and financing offer was a some sort of joke, but was informed that it was Drexler's bid. This was for a very easy 2-3 hour job. The second plumbing estimate provided for the exact same job on the same day was $300. A few minutes later the sink and toilet were moved from the half bath in about 20 minutes. The second plumber estimated it would take about 2 hours time to replace the fixtures, after the new floor is laid. Drexler's bid was outrageously high at about $600/hour with material cost of under $30. We will not do businesses with a company that operates this way.

They do great work, provide explanations and quotes prior to beginning a job, and work hard until the job is done. They are good at what they do, and they speak highly of their employer. That says a lot. Wouldn't use any other plumbing service. We're Tom Drexler customers forever!”

The tech arrived on time, following a "heads-up" call from his office. He was very cordial and neat. I showed him the slow-running tub drain and he asked to see the basement, but there is no visible drain plumbing near the tub. So he ran the snake down the overflow opening as I had done, and he had the drain running smoothly in no time. I did ask about my options should the drain run slowly again, and he offered a 90-day guaranteed on his labor, which seems very fair. He also offered the company's $99 year-long maintenance plan for HVAC, electric, and plumbing, which I'm looking into now. Very good experience!

Everything was great except for the time that it took to complete the project. But overall they worked with us, and the bathroom was perfect when it finally was completed. Communication could have been much better.

They were very friendly and helpful. The problem was fielded quickly.

They ran a snake down our kitchen drain through the drain in the dasement to the main. We have had trouble several times with this line. This was the first time it has been opened and water hasn't backed up for almost a year now.

The service person is nice, quickly get my refrigerator 'a ice functional. The price just a little bit high. Even with the coupon. But it's working and clean, so I am ok with that.

I thought that it was a little overpriced. I saw the same fixture for like $69 at some other place. I don’t know how much he had to do to fix the faucet. It was more expensive than I thought but reasonable. He was very polite and got the job done.

Furnace had stopped working and inside temp was 26. Ice was coming out faucets and toilets. Call several other plumbers but all to busy. Tom D. came next morning. He went to crawl space made repairs under house then repaired 1 faucet. In all was there a couple of hours. I have used them again for other projects. Excellent work!

Serviceman came and said he would go back and check to see if anyone carried part. He also said it was Primier faucet, they used Delta now. I thought with a 10,000 bathroom remodel it would have lasted longer than 5 years. He said he would get back with me. Last I have heard from them.

Arrived promptly, in fact a bit early which was great, I explained the problems and they quoted a price on the tub clog right away. They went to the basement to check the pipe to the kitchen sink and found it deteriorating and leaking which I had not noticed. Gave me a quote, told them to go ahead. They were done within 2 hours. Very professional and friendly.

Everything went very smoothly from time of quote to completion of job (including clean up). Wayne the technician was both courteous and professional. I am a long time Drexler customer and have always been satisfied with any service received. I am sure you could probably get a cheaper job but I know I will always get top notch service when using Drexler.

Went as well as it could under the circumstances. We had sewage backing up into the basement due to a 40 year old sagging cracked pipe. Our front yard was ripped 7 feet deep by 4 feet wide. In the middle of the work a major rainstorm hit. The workers labored to protect the chasm to keep it from caving in and to keep water out of the house. The work was done well.

I made an appointment on Wednesday the 2nd of April for first thing Friday morning (9-11). On Friday morning at around 10:15 they called an told me I am out of luck and that I would have to wait until next Monday to be seen. This was after I scheduled to take the morning off from work so that I could be there. The lady on the phone seemed bothered and frustrated that I was not okay with the change in plans. After continued conversation, she mentioned that she will try and get someone out there sometime between 5-7. The "try" word is all it took for me to get on the phone and try to locate another plumber. It took several more calls to various plumbers to find one that was readily available. The whole point of making an appointment is that that appointment is honored by the party making it. I will never ever use Tom Drexler again. They cannot keep there word.

They young man from Tom Drexler Plumbing came out and he kept everything. He told me what should be done and what shouldn't be done. He spent an hour and a half here and didn't charge me a dime because there was nothing he could do. It was wonderful. I have also used them before for plumbing and they are also excellent and very cost efficient with plumbing. I have used them maybe three or four times and they are always gonna be my first call. They are extremely professional.

LG and E told us that our water heater had a gas leak. I called Tom Drexler plumbing and they got someone to our house as soon as possible. The tech was helpful, professional and friendly and replaced a leaking flex line on the water heater. We will use Drexler plumbing again.

We were told the job would take about 2 days maximum to complete. Scheduling left a lot to be desired once the job did start. The crew was taken off the job or started late because they had to stop by another job to complete it or finish up something. There was one day delay because of weather. They started on Monday and finished up on Friday. Had to come back one day over the weekend to fix a leak in the drain line. The trim strips that were supposed to be put up along the vanity and cabinets were never installed. I ended up doing it myself. I had to redo the quarter round around the vanity due to poor quality workmanship. I also had to redo the installation of the lights due to poor workmanship. My painters had to redo the wall spackling and sanding to smooth it out. I finally found the source of another small leak and fixed it myself. There was never a supervisor that stopped by the house during the whole installation. We never saw the salesman again either. I left a message with an office assistant for Tom Drexler to call me. After several days he had not called. I stopped by their booth at the home remodeling show on Saturday and told a representative about my experience and asked him to get the message to Tom Drexler to give me a call. I haven't heard from him yet!
