Ian and his helper were very punctual and professional. They took pride in their work and were able to work me in the same day I requested their service. I was very pleased with their work, punctuality, and professionalism. I would definitely call them again for future carpet cleaning.

Ian arrived and was instantly a hit as he was just a fun, outgoing personality type of person. Great first impression. You should see the carpet now after cleaning it with his special (can't be bought at the store )cleaning solution. Powerful suction on the cleaner also but not so strong that it pulled the 1 square foot tiles off the kitchen floor. I am so impressed with the service that I'll call him back when I need the carpets cleaned again.

Louisville Carpet Cleaning & Flood Restoration never contacted me and seemed surprised when I called to tell them I had purchased the Real Deal a couple of months previously and that no one had contacted me. We agreed on a date for them to pick-up my rug. I was not home when they arrived; my husband, who has mid-stage Alzheimer's and had not read the contract, was here. He let the man who was sent out to pick-up the rug in and the man shampooed the rug in place and left. When I got home I called the company and asked why they shampooed an 8 X 10 wool Karastan rug on our hardwood floor in place, as I have been told by previous rug-cleaning companies that it can't be done that way and read him the process detailed in the coupon. He expressed concern that I might not be pleased with the service I received but explained that what he had done was proper. I didn't feel like arguing with him, because i had no intention of having him do another thing to my 10-year-old rug. I forgot the old adage: you get what you pay for. I will never use this company again. The rug doesn't look bad, but this company did not live up to its own contract.

Ian came to pick up the 10'x14' rug on Monday, by himself. He had to go back to the shop get a 2nd person because moving the glass top of my dining room table is a 2 person job (as well as moving the rug of this size). They removed the glass top and the ~12" square pedestals that were sitting under the glass. They removed the rug by folding it, instead of rolling it. No one has ever taken that rug out that way. When going out the front door one of the corners scraped the paint, left a scratch. I will need to touch it up with paint. The rug was returned on Friday at 11 am (of Memorial Day weekend) so they had the rug 4 days. It was rolled. They positioned it well on the pad and replaced the pedestals and glass table top adequately. They left. Shortly thereafter I realized that the rug was wet, not just damp, but really wet. Did they actually just clean it that morning? Brought it back to me really wet after having it for 4 days? Put it on top of hardwood and a pad wet like that, plus replaced the pedestals/glass top which will NEVER allow the rug under them to dry? I called immediately, left a message, voicing my displeasure and indicating I would be calling back next week for them to return to move the table so the rug could dry underneath. I kept ceiling fans/air conditioning cranked up all weekend. But it was Memorial Day weekend and I had 25 for dinner on Sunday night. The rug still felt damp to me but I had to go with it anyway. On Tuesday I called a number of times, left messages for them to come move the table so the rug under the pedestals could dry. Guess what? No response. Now I have to figure out how to move the glass table top and pedestals. And my house smells like wet carpet! The whole reason for not having a rug like that cleaned in house is so that the hardwood underneath isn't exposed to that kind of moisture. If cleaning area rugs off site is beyond their capabilities they should stipulate that in the Angie's list offer. I do NOT recommend them for this kind of service. I just hope my hardwood hasn't warped!!

The appointment was scheduled between 9 and 10. Ian called around 9 to let me know he was 15 minutes away. He inspected the carpet and told me what stains he would be able to remove and which stains would likely not be removed. I had some orange stain from some furniture feet that he told me in advance would likely not be able to be removed, but that's OK because we'll put the furniture back where it was before. Ian helped me move a few pieces of furniture out of the room and got to work. He did the 3 areas per the deal (Living Room, TV Room/Office and Master Bedroom). All 3 look great right now, but the rooms need at least the day to dry out. Ian recommended to let it dry till tomorrow morning, which is no issue so we'll do that. All in all a good, professional service and I would recommend Ian if you're looking for carpet cleaning. We will use him again when we do some other areas in the house.

The provider cleaned three rooms of carpet for $99. He did a good job getting them clean. I would use him again.

Back in February I purchased an Angie's List "Real Deal" for carpet cleaning by Louisville Carpet Cleaning & Flood Restoration. Ian arrived within the scheduled time frame. He did the job very professionally and in a timely manner. I think my carpet looked the best it ever has after having the same areas cleaned for several years by other professional carpet cleaners. I would certainly consider having Ian do this again.

The experience was disappointing, but Ian said he is getting out of the area rug cleaning, pick-up and delivery business because he has learned of its difficulties. In this instance, the difficulty was major Louisville flooding right in the middle of what should have been a routine pick-up, cleaning and delivery process. I finally got my rugs back, but I had to wait 7 days past the scheduled delivery date of the cleaned rugs and had to call repeatedly both of Ian's numbers for several of those days before that delivery finally happened. I also had to call a neighbor to help Ian get the rugs back into my home because I did not want to wait any longer for Ian to enlist members of his own staff (the delivery took place after 7:30 p.m. on a Thursday night and none of them were willing to work after hours as Ian was). The pressures of flood victims needing Ian's services and the stormy conditions which prevailed during those 7 days were probably the major cause of the inconvenient and somewhat stressful (considering how much I have invested in those rugs!) delay. As for how clean the rugs were when I finally got them back, I was not impressed. The Chinese rug looks especially bad, even though Ian said it would be worth my money to try to restore the rug's beauty when he picked it up. I do not think that Ian is a professional oriental rug cleaner. I made a mistake thinking that he was.

Ian Copeland from Louisville Carpet Cleaning & Flood Restoration came early and did an amazing job cleaning the carpets and stairs. I showed him a piece of carpet that had dye on it and he found a remnant in the basement and patched it on the spot. I couldn't even tell that it had been replaced. I was not expecting this and he went above and beyond what was required. I would recommend him 100%.
