Outstanding service, always a live person answers when you call. They are quick to respond to calls and all the work men went above and beyond always answering questions (very knowledgeable). Can't say enough good things about this company. I will always go to them for any air conditioning or heating problems.

We decided to replace the unit, and had to have it done before the end of the year to get the tax credit. They really worked with us to rush and get it done, dodging around the holidays and even offering great financing (we were not quite prepared to come up with $3100 unexpectedly at Christmas time!). The installation itself was timely, they called before they arrived, arrived on time, and worked straight through until the install was complete. They also had to run some lines because the new unit was much smaller than our 25 yr old one, and they didn't charge extra for doing so. Cleanup was prompt, and they took away our old unit... other than the noise from the basement, I'd've never known they were there. I really can't say enough about the installation, or the office team. I'd suggest them to anyone. I don't know that they can fully take the credit for it, but I've definately noticed a drop in our heating bills, and have not noticed a drop at all in the comfort level in the house.... which makes me feel they did properly size the unit for our space. Oh, also... they automatically install a programable thermostat at installation, which is a very nice touch.

Replaced broken A/C unit and it's accompanying furnace. They were prompt. The estimator had not measured correctly so they showed up with a larger unit than would fit through the attic pull-down stairway opening. However, as soon as they discovered that they called in for reinforcements and had a correct sized unit here within the hour. It took all day, but they got it done by dinner time. They cleaned up both inside and outside the house, evening vacuuming the carpet. Also because we were at work, I left them alone in my home to work. I've never, ever done that before with a contractor, but I was desperate without my A/C! But all was well.

They were not able to fix the problem, hence didn?t charge me anything. Infact, I had some other issue, which they fixed and charged me. He was a nice guy, who also advised me it will cost a lot to fix it the next time. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

Our A/C was not working well. I called these guys mid morning and someone was out at my house by mid afternoon. He diagnosed the problem as a blown capacitor and checked everything else after replacing the part. The A/C was back working quickly and we were all very happy

We upgraded so we got the energy efficiency credit. They gave us a bid in April 2008 and we decided not to do it then. We got other bids and one company was going to match it, but we wouldn't have gotten the energy credit. We have referred them to others and three people have used them since we did. They were straight up and didn't play games. They even took a little bit off the price.

I am sorry to report this. However, I used this company several times based on their angie's list rating. I have had mixed experiences with them. I wish I remember the name of the good service tech, but my experience with the company varies based on who comes to my house. Several times I have had excellent service and several times I have had lousy service. This last time our furnace was not firing because (they diagnosed this correctly) the motherboard was malfunctioning. They did get it working, but told us that we needed to by a new furnace at $3,500 because the motherboard was an expensive repair and it wasn't worth putting more money into an old furnace. It was 20 degrees outside and they left. Within the hour, the furnace was not functioning again. I called another company (fayette heating) and they came out that day and diagnosed the same problem. They prepared me for the huge expense of $156 for the motherboard plus labor. They ordered the part and installed it the next day. Basically, I think the stewart tech was in a rush. I also think that that tech knew that the furnace was going to go out again in a very short period of time, but did not communicate that to us. I understand that this is a very busy time for them and I wouldn't have reported this if I hadn't had another experience with them where we had to have them come twice for another problem because the tech was in a rush.

Originally came out in July and recharged my coolant and said I might have a small leak in the accumulator, but it was to small to find, a month later, again no coolant, they came out, found that the leak had gotten bigger and replaced the accumulator later the same day... and recharged the freon for free to provide AC until the piece could be replaced...the employee was very professional and courteous...I will use for all of my future HVAC needs

They came out on the arranged day and immediatly started work. With in 4 hours they had the unit off the roof and the new lines run. The machine worked perfectly while I was there but sometime between when I left for work and got home the unit stopped running. Called them the next morning and they sent a crew right out that took a look at the unit which immediately came back on. They watched it run for 15-20 minutes checked the refrigerant levels and then left. The machine was not working again when I got back home from work. Called the Monday morning and once again they sent someone out immediately and this time they were able to trace the problem to a plugged line form my condensation pump which they quickly replaced and got me up and running. Through all this they were very prompt and professional, and did not charge me any additional amount to get the work done correctly.

My AC outside fan broke in the middle of summer. I quickly decided that the 19 year old system should be replaced rather than repaired, both for the tax credit now being offered and because I had serious concerns about the life of the rest of the equipment. The quoting process went very well. Stewart offered a straightforward quotation done by a serviceman instead of a salesman, had the list of what everything would cost and simply added it up. Quote was competitive and he did not try selling me anything I didn't need/want. I contacted the office the next few days to get exact specifiecations and part numbers on the furnace and outdoor unit, which they readily had available and communicated very well. Stewart required a longer delay before starting the work than the other companies quoted, but I was able to replace the fan myself for far less than the cost delta between quotes and was lacking an AC for only a couple of days. I also purchased a 10 year labor contract and a 1 year preventative maintenance contract (included in the total above). I worked from home while the system was installed. I was concerned initially because I thought they got off to a late start (given the temperature that day and the amount of work to perform, I would have probably started at 6:00 AM, but they started closer to 9:00 as they had planned), but the installers worked diligently and finished the work that evening. They answered my questions and resolved a couple of issues that probably weren't pressing (such as the thermostat not being initially set up correctly for heat pump operation). The different modes (heat pump and gas heating, cooling) were also verified at the end of the day. A few days after the installation I realized that I would need a more detailed receipt for the federal tax credit, and I emailed the company. A few weeks later I received a detailed receipt in the mail that had exactly the information I was asking for, along with a note apologizing for the delay. I am enjoying the temperature in my home and am looking forward to lower gas bills this winter.

I discovered that I probably was experiencing the cut-off from Kent.Utility that day or perhaps it was the filter. Steward did everything on time, as promised, but found no big problems.

The central A/C in our house failed on Memorial Day weekend. We called many different vendors for estimates and Stewart's provided the best price and responsiveness out of all of the estimates that we had. When we decided on Stewart's for installation, our purchase was ready for installation in approximately one week. On June 19, the unit was installed over the course of one business day. Unfortunately, it had not cooled the house by 11 PM. We called the 24 hour contact line and left 3 messages, but there was no answer, and our messages went unaswered. However, at 9 the next morning (Saturday, June 20, 2009) the on call tech called and wanted to see if we would be around for him to come by. We had prior plans, but he came and worked all day on our unit in our crawlspace and outside. We were advised that the unit had been charged incorrectly, but that it had been completely charged and if we had any more problems to let the company know on Monday. On Monday, the 22nd, the head technician came out and found some remaining issues that he quickly resolved. We have now lived with the fully functioning unit and couldn't be happier. While there were hiccups throughout the process, we are very satisfied with the result.

This was a very good experience - the workman was friendly and informative and did a great job.

My airconditioner wasn't cooling. Called them to come out and see what was wrong. They came when I was gone, but my husband was there. They quickly diagnosed the compressor was out. Stayed and advised what I needed to do and left an estimate. I called when I returned to discuss the estimate and learn about what I needed to replace. They were very friendly and helpful, answering all of my questions. I ultimately didn't elect to purchase my new system with them, not because of their service, but because I wanted a different brand of system.

I thought I had a problem with the electric heat pump running too long. Technician came out and ran a lot of tests, found no problems. He explained everything he was doing as he worked, answered all my questions, and didn't try to sell me a product or service I didnt need. Technician was very honest and professional.

The mechanic seemed knowledgeable and explained all that he was doing while actually doing it. They charged around 60 bucks for the call and over 100 bucks for 2 lbs. of refrigerant ( R22). No problem for service charge but I later found out on the web that R22 cyclinder with 30 lbs of gas is available for $210.00 delivered. Seems like outrageously high mark up and that too I have to take his word for the amount of gas filled in.Also they didn't show up right away citing low temperature ( Need over 60 deg. ) but then they did come one day about a week later when the temp was in mid 50s anyway !. Overall satisfied with the work but feels like been ripped off for refrigerant charges.

Excellent service. I needed first an estimate immediately and then a heat pump installed on a particular day. STEWART AIR CONDITIONING & HEATING were very helpful on both counts. The technicians were very professional, and the heat pump works great.

I called three companies for estimates and they were the lowest on a high efficiency furnance. The only problem was it took a week to get it installed because they were busy. We were cold for a week but they did a good job installing the furnace overall.

They were professional and reliable.

I had an excellent experience. The repairman was very knowledgeable and professional. He did a very good job and didn't charge me for adding coolant to the A/C since it only needed a very small amount. I would recommend them to anyone.

He looked through everything and in the end not finding what he thought he had. Well it wasn't a very good experience. The technician was supposed to show at 2:00 pm and didn't end up showing until 5:00 pm. We had to call and find out information on the technician's whereabouts. He was suppposed to call back with a second appointment, but he never did. I would not refer him. He saw the age of the unit and stated we needed a new one.

I called them and they came out the next day.

The furnace stopped working Saturday. Sunday we called Stewart's and left a message on the answering machine. Someone called back, but he suggested that if we could wait until Monday the cost would be less. It was warm enough so that we could wait. We called first thing Monday (New Year's Eve) and Stewart's had a representative out here by noon. He fixed the problem (see above). He charged us just the minimum charge for a visit. The representative fully answered my questions about how much a new furnace might cost and whether we could put in electric rather than gas. He said he'd recommend putting in a new gas one when the repairs on this one become expensive. i.e. He did not try to sell us anything unnecessary and was polite and friendly as well as efficient.

The technician was very thorough and honest. We were very happy with the results, temporary as they may be.
