First of they did not wait or call for dig safe, Then they dug up the front of my lawn, whoops no pipes there. Then dig safe came they found the pipe came out the side of the house and down the back yard not down the front of the yard. Now we have 2 gaping holes. They fixed the issue. They did not fix the front yard or the side yard. We are still trying to get grass to grow on the side yard. They took extra dirt? and placed it down my the creek in the back. City found it and said it had to be moved. So we had to call them back out to move the dirt. Nothing was done to fix the blunder in the front yard.

The work was done. It took all of about 5 minutes for him to do the repair. My problem was the price charged for the work. The metal strap could not have cost much. And it took so little time to do the repair. I thought $174.00 was ridiculous. My other frustration was that the repairman was planning to put KB Complete stickers all over our furnace in the basement even though this is the first time we've had them out. I had to press the issue to stop him. I feel a company neesd to ask the owner before doing something like that. I don't really plan to use this company again.
Description of Work: Our furnace flu in the attic was touching some wood which we were told was a fire hazard by a roof repair estimator. Basically, a strap had broken that held the pipe up and off of the wood (where the pipe left the roof). KB Complete attached a metal "strap" that held the pipe up.

This was the first time I hired a plumber in my life. While I'm no expert, I have been able to stumble through leak repairs, faucet and toilet replacements, etc. This one stumped me, because there was a dripping sound quite some distance away from the stain on the garage ceiling below the shower. I thought the water was dripping from a pipe, and then running down a beam. Long story short, I cut one hole beneath the sound in the ceiling to look around, and couldn't find the leak. A friend recommended KB, so I called them. The guy immediately diagnosed that the dripping sound was really just a pipe expanding/contracting when water ran through it, and that the shower drain was the culprit. $600 later, I had another hole in the garage ceiling, under the shower drain, and then a new shower drain. I think the guy was at my house maybe 2 hours, maybe a little more. I should have just cut the hole where the water stain was in the first place, but I misjudged where the shower was and thought the stain wasn't under any drains in the bath. This is clearly a case where you pay for a guy's knowledge, not his time. I will say that he was professional, thorough and cleaned up things. I'd hire them again, but only for something hard to figure out, or something I didn't mind paying extra for to make sure it was done right.

Over the years, when I have scheduled K-B Complete they have been there as arranged. When we have an emergency like we had this last month between the water heater and furnace, they were there within hours of the call. I replaced the Hot Water Heater in the past by purchasing from a local store and having a local plumber install; however, although considerably more expensive than I thought, I purchased this hot water heater from K-B Complete for about double what I was expecting for the unit and install. The reason for paying more are, 1) trust in K-B Complete to service the unit if needed, 2) warranty work will be easier since K-B Complete has all the install details (that was the problem with the old one, under old unknown warranty; however, where do you go?), 3) wanting to continue/build on relationship built over 6-years, and 4) it was on the truck and able to be installed at the time they determined the HWH was not repairable (initially called to evaluate/repair). When the furnace stopped in below near zero weather last week, they were there quickly, found the problem (broken blower unit), found it was under my extended warranty/service contract that I purchased on install, had it on the truck, and the $1200 unit was suddenly free and only paid for the service visit. One of the times an extended warranty/service contract pays off; however, I also went with a reputable brand (Trane) and installer (K-B Complete). I gave them a "B" on Price; however, I choose to pay the price knowing the level of service/professionalism I will get by paying a higher than anticipated price. If you want good people, you want them to stay, you have to pay them well. To do that, you have to charge a higher price. I will pay the higher price knowing what I will get in the way of response and service.
Description of Work: We have used K-B Complete for approximately 6-years. Initially they installed a replacement Heater and A/C (Heat Pump) unit, water softener (plumbing, I provided unit), two new sink faucets (plumbing, I provided the units), annual service contracts on the AC/Heater Unit, and within the last month replaced the hot water heater and came out to check/repair the heater (broken blower unit).

Because I have a maintenance agreement with KB Complete they were here for the furnace check. The service technician found some serious issues with our 18 year old builder grade furnaces that we knew were on "borrowed time". We asked for an estimate on a the best system we would need as a starting point. It was a little higher than I wanted to go so I told him we would think about it. The next day their office called to ask if we had any questions. Although it wasn't my intent to discuss the pricing with them I asked what they thought and they said they would get with the technician and get back to me. In the meantime I made a few calls to other companies and was stunned at how much more they were charging. When KB Complete called me back the 2nd system was more in line with what I wanted and brought the efficiency rating I wanted as well. They e-mailed me both the new estimate as well as the efficiency ratings of the new system. Now here is what I LOVED about the estimate process. Their number was all inclusive - 2 furnaces, 2 a/c's, sales tax, thermostats, labor, new line sets, humidifiers, electrical to breaker box, rebates, discounts, EVERYTHING. Plus, they registered the system for me. I loved having a bottom-line number to look at! So, I scheduled them to come out and they said they would be here on a Tuesday, the week of Thanksgiving between 8:00am and 8:30am. The installers arrived at 8:10am and worked until 8:00pm. At one point they had 4 installers here - probably because we have a dual zone system. They were courteous, efficient, accomidating to my questions, and they cleaned up the work area better than it was prior to their arrival. What a group of professionals. Now we have a highly efficient HVAC system from a company I trust. It has been working great and I know if I have any issues they will back it up. There is no way I will ever use another company other than KB Complete.

Very responsive. I called Friday and they came out Saturday. They arrived within the time frame I was given. The man was very careful and did not leave a mess in the tub after the work was completed. Price seemed high for what was done, but it was a needed service to stop the leak in the tub and also to allow the shower to work. The hot water faucet now turns off and with the new spigot and shower lever, it is much easier to take a shower.
Description of Work: Replaced spigot on tub and rebuilt hot water faucet. Also tightened drain

This is another great story resulting in my recent purchase of an older home. We have a master bathroom that was an addition to the house (see reviews about removing the leaky skylight). We rarely use this master bathroom shower (just the sink and toilet) because the shower on the main level is amazingly updated. Before buying the house, there was full disclosure about a water pipe burst in the attic space several years ago, which resulted in a full restoration of the space with updated PVC and PEX piping, and heavy insulation. Thus, I thought it was really odd when a few months in, I noticed a couple of faint water stains on the ceiling appearing right below that space; one directly where the whirlpool/tub drain was, and the other a little further out along the drywall line. Mostly odd because we seldom used the shower/tub (just run it for a bit every month for good measure). This was also a slow appearance of the stain, as it obviously took awhile for me to notice – not catastrophic by any means. Anyway, after making a few phone calls and educated guesses, I found out that the plumbing part of the restoration was performed by KB Complete. The seller of the home had also used KB Complete to fulfill some post-inspection updates to the gas line in the basement per my request, so I thought whom better to call out? I called KB at work one morning, and explained the situation. She was confident that IF the leaks were KB’s oversight, they would stand behind their work with such a large job, even this far out (she verified that they did re-do the plumbing several years ago). KB was able to send somebody out that very day. I left work and met Chris from KB at the house at the very time KB promised he would be there. Chris was amazingly courteous and professional. I simply showed him ceiling stains in the office downstairs, and then how to access the plumbing in the attic space under the insulating barriers. We both were in the attic space and he was extremely careful when accessing the plumbing, removing insulation, and searching for leaks. It was very evident that the plumbing restoration was extremely well planned, organized, and executed with a great deal of care and high quality materials—far better than I had realized. We ran all of the water sources individually and simultaneously, each time watching and feeling the feed and return lines for water leaks from the sink, tub, and toilet. During the search, he educated me on things he was looking for. Through some landmark features of the plumbing, Chris even identified the backside of the very drywall panels that were showing the water stain; not only was the insulation backing we removed from that area bone dry, so was the back of the drywall; there were no detectable water stains whatsoever. It was evident that the return lines from the facilities were rock solid and sealed very well. So, what was the problem? We went into the bathroom and Chris noted that the tub spout was not sitting flush with the shower wall, and the piping was too long for the spout attached. I explained that this was the way it had been since I purchased the home, but we had only run the shower a handful of times after the inspection and for a seconds at that; it was just on my list of little things to fix (there were a ton). Chris reasoned that somebody had replaced the fixtures after the renovation and not installed them properly by neglecting to shorten the feed piping and sealing the spout to the shower tile. After some disassembly on Chris’s part, his theory was corroborated by the fact that the 90-degree elbow joints from the feed tubing to the spout head weren’t even glued together! He reasoned that once that once the amateur install was done, the residents likely noticed that water from the shower was spraying into the space behind the spout, and reaching the ceiling below by running along the underside of the return piping, which was directly above, and parallel to, the drywall seam. After that, the shower was probably never used, the stains in the room below were painted over with a non-stain-blocking paint, and they were starting to re-surface. It was the only logical explanation outside of some weird condensation phenomenon possibly happening in the crazy KS summer weather. So, Chris spent about 45 minutes carefully fixing the shower spout/piping and properly sealing it all up. He told me to cover the surfacing stains in the office with original KILZ (not KILZ-2) and watch for any sign of a leak. He also stuck around to talk about the HVAC downstairs and gave me some pointers on how to get the best performance out of the system in such an old home. It was a great experience, and Chris reiterated that KB Complete will stand behind the work, but it’s been a few months, the shower has been used more frequently, and there are no problems whatsoever. The KILZ matched well and you’d never notice there was a problem. All in all, Chris was out at the house approximately 3 hours, and the whole visit was only about $120. I also learned some new things that day, and that’s probably how the KB Complete team got to be such a stellar provider; by being thorough, disseminating knowledge about plumbing and HVAC systems, and taking on new challenges. I was very pleased, and will continue to use KB Complete for any other repairs or updates needed in the future.

Great. We have an old furnace and air conditioner that we've taken good care of over the years. We've learned to ask for the serviceman that knows our old systems best, and knows exactly how to treat them. He's a craftsman! The plumber replaced two faucets and tweaked another one. He was thorough and professional and gave us a beautiful-looking bathroom. He took his time, which isn't a bad thing these days. He did the job right and didn't mind the cat paying visits under the sink from time to time.

Called them on a Sunday morning and the tech was there in about an hour! He told me my options and had no problem with me picking the cheapest one. He took care of the problem in a very short time. He told me about an online coupon that would further reduce the cost. I had already found it and printed it, but I appreciated him telling me about it. I asked about some possible future work we want done and he presented me with options and pricing with no hard sell. Very impressed with Chris.

Nice job, they fit my job in with already scheduled day since it was cold out and my furnace had a carbon monoxide leak found during a routine inspection. The guys worked consistently until the job was completed even though it took until about 7 pm. They cleaned the area, explained the new system and made sure all my questions were answered. I had looked into other companies so knew the pricing was competitive. I was very satisfied with the work.
Description of Work: I received estimates from various companies and KB came in the lowest for the highest performing system. My time to be home is extremely limited but they were able to work me in despite their already scheduled day. Their workers arrived a little later than promised, but the furnace was delivered as promised and just waited in my garage until the guys installed it. They were late due to taking care of the previous client and they stayed to finish my job. They cleaned up after themselves. My only concern was somehow they made a change in my water system while hooking up my humidifier. My water pressure is really strong now and will need to be turned down a little. They were courteous and all business while doing the work. I frequently checked on the progress and they appeared to be working while in my home.

When taking a shower water would back up into my garage via the drain for washing machine. This has happened every couple years since I purchased my home. Though I previously called another agency for this, I contacted KB Complete due to the excellent service they have provided in servicing my furnace and air conditioner. They were able to get me on their schedule for the following day. The service agent was prompt and courteous, took care of the issue in a short matter of time and advised me of potential long term impacts of roots in my plumbing (I may need an examiner to put a camera through my pipes to detect root intrusions). I received a post-service survey from their main office requesting feedback regarding my visit. KB Complete has provided me with excellent service for many years in maintaining and upgrading my HVAC system. I will definitely contact them for any future plumbing events.

KB Complete installed a new Trane air-conditioner/heat pump for me in Dec. 2010. I had purchased a service plan for the company to come out in the winter for a furnace check and in the summer for an a/c check. When they came for the summer check, Nick, the technician, showed up at the end of the time frame (though the company did call to tell me he'd be running late). He told me he was going to inspect and clean the air conditioner. At the end of the inspection he told me I was low on refrigerant, and there was a leak in the A-coil. The part was still under warranty, but the labor was not. Then he quoted me a price of $899 to fix the problem. I told him that was crazy....this is a 2 1/2 year old system we were talking about. He made a call to his boss and came back with a bottom line figure of $795....still WAY too much. I told him I would be getting a second opinion. He acted very nice and told me he didn't blame me, that he would do the same thing. After calling another company to come out and inspect (Polestar Plumbing), they inspected the system and found nothing wrong with the A-coil, but said the system was low on refrigerant but it was leaking slightly from an outside Schrader valve and service cap, probably from an installation error. I also looked at the cleaning job, and it didn't look very clean at all to me. I called KB complete back and asked to speak to a manager. I spoke with Dave and told him about the situation, and siad I wanted him to send a different tech out and fix this problem. Dave listened carefully, repeated back my requests to make sure he understood what I wanted, and promised to send out a guy the next day. However, he did not apologize at all for the inconvenience and he did not seem concerned that one of his technicians may have given me false information and try to get a lot of money out of me. That same day, my thermostat went out (or so I thought - I later found out it was a switch that had been turned off during the inspection). Since I then had no air, I called KB back and they were very accommodating and sent a tech out that afternoon (Alex). Alex recleaned and reiinspected the system and didn't find any leaks, though it was low on refrigerant. He added freeon and patched a hole that Nick had left in the ductwork. He didn't charge me for the repair or the freeon, but while he was here we discovered a small gas leak in a valve on my water heater (the valve was 28 years old), so he replaced that at my request for $148.00. Alex did the work I asked, but no one from KB Complete acted like it was a big deal that they gave me incorrect information about my system or that they were going to have me $800 out of pocket on a relatively new system they installed. Once my service contract expires in January, I will be finding a new company.

KB's service was very professional. The estimator, Randy S., arrvied at the time of the appointment. Randy spent 1.5 hours preparing a load anaysis to determine the proper size A/C for the house. Randy presented and explained several options. He provided complete cost quotes for each option. The install crew, Jeff & Ollie, arrived exactly at the appointed time and had all the equipment and supplies on their trucks. They examined the work location, laid tarps over all carpets leading in from the exterior. They worked quickly and efficiently and were very professional. They removed all the old equipment and cleaned up at the end of the job. If decisions were required, they asked for assistance and didn't assume my desires. While the price KB quoted was not the lowest of my quotes, it was only slightly higher, and the company's prompt and efficient service (without the need for recalls) was worth far more than the additional expense. I would highly recommend KB's service in the future. I will use the company again.
Description of Work: Installed new Trane 4 ton A/C unit and coil. Removed and disposed of old A/C unit.
