Had a serious water leak in my first floor ceiling. I had no clue what it could have been. The washing machine was going, my kid was in the bath, and my wife was cleaning upstairs. I shut everything off and the water was still coming through. So I cut a hole in my ceiling where I thought it could be. No luck, there was a pvc drain and two water lines running through the floor. It finally stopped leaking because I had shut my water off. I tried contacting AB MAY and several other companies but Lutz was the only one who could come right out, without an emergency fee. The guy who came out was clean cut and very friendly. It already made me feel at ease to have them back out if my wife and kids were ever at home alone. Right away he told me what he thought it could be, the overflow on the bathtub. He took it off and flipped over and that was it, not another problem. Funny thing was when I had some guys come out and fix the ceiling, they showed me where the previous owner had cut and replaced the ceiling. So whoever they had out obviously never fixed the real problem. It was very pleasant experience and I look forward to having them back out when needed.

It was good. They came out when they said they would and they fixed the problem. We had another issue that they said would be a lot of money to fix so we didn't go there. What they came out to fix, they fixed. The price was high, it was in excess of $250 I believe. For 30 minutes time and a couple of shower knobs, I say that it wasn't cheap.

The job was performed satisfactorily, but the price was kind of high. Please don't reply with that your company hires only master plumbers, because I know of other company's that would have not charged as much and they are master plumbers as well. I guess I paid for the convienence of having it done so fast.

We called Lutz Plumbing for a second opinion regarding some plumbing work that another plumbing company had recommended we do. They were very helpful on the phone and sent Brent out to look over our situation and give us recommendations. He was very gracious and did not try to "hard-sell" us into using their company. The information and advice he provided was very helpful. We will definitely consider using Lutz for plumbing needs in the future.

Our first job, about 3 years ago, was in response to a broken drain leading from the kitchen, traveling underneath the foundation to the main sewer drain. Other companies wanted to send cameras down, excavate our foundation, and estimated at least $5000, and a huge mess. Kevin, from Lutz recommended an alternative solution that involved running a bypass around the broken pipe, instead of excavating our foundation, and tying it into another open drain pipe leading to the sewer. This remedy was much cleaner, quicker, and less expensive. It worked like a charm, and we have been very satisfied with the results. The second time was in response to a broken drain pipe from our sump pump, which had resulted in water being pumped out of our sump pump, then leaking out just outside the foundation and then running right back down into our basement. They came out on a Saturday morning and had it repaired in less than an hour. Very professional, and responsive.

Brent arrived promptly, was very professional and curteous. He did a very professional job on what I asked him to do. Here is my problem- the price. In fairness, I did approve the price before he started, but I never dreamed that the price he quoted me was for such a simple job. As it ended up, I could have had my handy-man complete the job he did for a lot less money. I thought it would be much more complicated than it was. He used 4 to 5 feet of black stand pipe, two elbows and one aluminum strap to hold it to the wall. The invoice does not break out parts and labor, but I am sure that there is less than $60.00 materials involved. That leaves a balance of $200.00 for labor and he was here a total of 1 hour. This is after my Angies discount of the $24.95 trip fee waived and $28.00 off the cost of the job, or it would have cost me $288.00! The job only took 45 minutes to complete, and about 10 to 15 minutes of that was running the washer and making sure it drained properly. I chose Lutz Plumbing because of the reviews I read, many were customers saying things like "installed 2 faucets and fixed a leak for $150.00" I know it takes a lot longer than 1 hour to intstall two faucets and fix a leak. I thought they would be a fairly priced company. Brent also quoted me a price on installing a gas line to my fireplace, which he quoted at $454.00 and said it would take 4 to 5 hours to do that job. How does that mathmatically work out? A 4 hour job @ $454.00 is only $113.00 an hour, parts included, yet I got charged much more for the simple job of a drain hose. Again, I approved the cost before he started, my bad, but I feel very cheated and think that I got charged this price because I am a woman and he thought he could. If you are a female home owner, I would steer far away from Lutz Plumbing.

Fair. In my opinion there should have been some degree of clean up!

We bought a dishwasher from Best Buy and they came out to install it. The installer told me the gate valve to the dishwasher was bad and needed to be replaced. He then looked at the main shutoff for the house and told me that needed to be replaced as well and would be quite expensive. He didn't have the skills to fix it so he wished me luck and left. I called Lutz based on Angie's lists reviews. Kevin came out; took one look at the main shut off and said it was fine; it just needed to be tightened (which he did). He then installed a new quarter turn valve for the dishwasher, the dishwasher itself and the sink. He was extremely professional and competent. I also felt their prices were reasonable. I have tried several plumbing companies in town and never had the same one come back. I will definitely call Lutz back when I need a plumber.

I had a shower head that had very poor water pressure. I also had a ceiling stain below this shower area that I thought was caused by a leaky shower pipe within the wall. The tech came out to the house and diagnosed the shower pressure issue as an extra gasket that was preventing the water from fully exiting the shower head. The ceiling discoloration was not caused by the upstairs shower but perhaps water entering from the outside of the house. Very fair treatment by the tech. Would use them again.

husband started on the job, but that didnt go well (3hrs and 3 trips to hardware store for nothing). I was at work and went on Angieslist to find someone close. They had a special for $50 off and could be out within 1hr. even fixed the drain pipe that we both knew had come unglued. I wasnt there but husband was very happy with the work and timing. And you know that says a lot. LOL.

Kevin did an excellent job. He came to our home the day prior to the repairs and explained what needed to be repaired and an estimate of the cost. He was prompt and came to our home the next day. He did all the repairs and left the work area clean, I was very satisfied.

Overall service was great! Brent and Amber were very helpful, especially with all the issues with the product company.

Lutz's service tech arrived on time, was courteous, and performed quality work in a timely manner. They also arranged for the repair permit and to meet with the city inspector for final inspection as required by the city. We didn't have to be there for the final inspection and that was a great convenience to us. We would use them for other services and highly recommend them.

I called to set up an appointment to have my kitchen faucet replaced. They were able to schedule me for the next day between 12 - 2 pm. The person that scheduled me said they would give me a call if the technician wouldn't be able to be to my house by 1:30, as I needed to leave by 2:30. I received a call to reschedule for the next day as the tech was not going to be able to make it after all. The tech came the next day, but was early. I had a tight time frame that I could meet with him. I had to leave the tech waiting in my driveway until I got back ( about 10 min.) He said he would wait. My husband came home to let him in and show him what was needing to be replaced. By the time I got back he was working on the faucet. The faucet was replaced and he went over with me warrenty information, etc. The faucet works great.

Tried to replace shutoff vale but it would not seal and leaked. Lux came out within one half hour of call and did repair and suggested company to dry out Sheetrock damage.

My hot water heater went out and I was in a panic to have a new one installed as soon as possible. I called around to several service providers. One woudl not provide a price over the phone. The second advertised as bing the most reasonable in the area, but in fact they were extremely expensive. My husband found Lutz Plumbing on a Internet search and we called. They said they could get to us later in the day. Surprisingly enough they were at my house in the early afternoon, removed the old hot water heater, and installed the new one without any problem. The technician, Brent, was very polite and professional. We will definitely use them for any plumbing needs that we have.

I will not be calling this company again for any service.

. Brent came out as he had done the plumbing in July to put the main water shutoff in the front bedroom closet. He said he'd have to have his excavation guy come out and dig out the front yard to see where the leak was. It turned out to be right outside the house. They replaced the pipe with one straight copper pipe and Brent connected it with the pipe in the bedroom closet wall and no more noise. They answer the phones promptly, and are good about coming out and do the work with a minimum of mess. I appreciate that he wanted to keep the cost to the least amount, especially since I had just paid so much for the first job he did. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone.

The fast turnaround time was much appreciated.

Repairman arrived on time, assessed problem, quoted price, and fixed problem very quickly. Price quoted was $186.00 but reducted to $156.00 with Angie's List coupon. After repair was complete, I noticed water seemed to still be coming out of shower head once water was turned off. He took it apart and found no issues. Said due to size of shower head it holds a lot of water and would eventually quit leaking ... which it did. Also replaced soap dispenser for me. Very polite and treated me with respect. Great customer service. I would use this company again.

Plumber on time, nice guy and seemed very knowledgeable.

According to my mother, overall the service went well. Yet she did have a major complaint, please read on. "The service technician arrived on time entering through the basement door where the main drain was located. He worked for about 45 minutes on the main sewer line. He informed me the issue was with roots in the line. He had me test the lines by flushing toilets and turning on water. It tested out fine. I paid him and he left. HOWEVER, about an hour later I was left with the same problem, all lines were stopped up. I had to call them back. He gladly returned in a timely manner and spent more time on the same issue, an additional root in the line. He fixed it this time for good; at least lets hope so. One day later and I have no issues. MAJOR CAVEAT - he literally left me S*** to clean up from the line. He did not clean up his mess. I am a 65 year old retiree. So beware and make sure they clean up their S***." The next day my mother called me and let me know her problem was fixed, after a same day follow-up visit and the price was reasonable. She really appreciated both the Angie's List and the senior discount. But they left a huge mess in the basement, not once, but twice. So i called Lutz Plumbing and left them a message informing them that my mother was not entirely satisfied with their quality of work. They did call her back and informed her she would have to 'hire' another company to come out and clean up after them. WHAT! Good work, good pricing but it's not their "Job" to clean up the messes they leave behind.

Well, from start to finish. We now have a great reference if and when other problems or upgrades need to be made.
