9/16/16-10:30pm - noticed house was warmer. Checked AC unit to find frost buildup. Called Pride Mechanical. Angela answered (10:35pm) and had me check breaker and shut-off switch. She asked if I wanted someone to come out tonight. I said no,we'd be fine, but would hope to have Ian call me to schedule a service call. Ian called at 8am and was here before 9am. He determined the coil inside was corroded and leaking coolant. Since we are a few weeks away from cooler temps (trees are already starting to turn) I took his advice to charge with coolant now, and wait til springtime replace the coil. I have great confidence in Ian and Pride Mechanical. They replaced my furnace last year (which after 18 years and original builder-grade quality unit) was at the end of its useful life. I recommend Pride Mechanical for their commitment to service, pricing and knowledge.

Ian and Eric identified the problem (refrigerant leakage) and took the most efficient route to fixing it. They verified that the leak was fixed using pressure gauges 45 minutes after the repair, and insured their work for a year. This is my third time working with Pride and I liked them so much, I'm having them take over maintenance of our central HVAC system from the company that installed it!

Patrick showed me how he solved my problems with a 20? change in temperature from upstairs to down. He took everything apart and painstakingly cleaned the unit so it would work more efficiently! Definitely my new go to company!

Pride Mechanical started by opening up my outside unit, the technician, Patrick, took one look at my capacitor and knew that was the problem. Patrick then took the time to explain what that part does and what it should look like. He also pointed out some of the other "safety" features on my unit. It's obvious that they take pride in their work and their company. My unit is 11 years old, most companies would send out a "salesman" instead of a repair technician to try to get me upgrade. As a single woman, it's very comforting to know there is one company that I can count on to perform a necessary repair without worrying or being taken advantage of by an upsale. Pride Mechanical, you have a customer for life.

Extremely well. I contacted 3 companies for bids. I had assumed I would be going with Lennox Brand through Costco (since I purchase almost everything at Costco because it generally has the best balance of quality and price); however in my opinion I would have been paying a lot more for a significantly inferior product and inferior warranty. I won't get into the technical details; however Patrick did the best of the technicians who gave bids at describing what he was going to do and why. According to him he does not install Lennox products because he would not be able to give the 10 year labor warranty on their products due to the way they are manufactured (tube and fin design on the Lennox vs microchannels for Frigidaire). This is the fourth home I've owned in which I needed to replace significant parts of an AC unit. All in the KC area over the last 20 years using companies that advertise on television. Pride Mechanical was by far the most conscientious at making every fitting, pipe, wire, drain, and equipment placement as "neat and clean" looking as possible. There was no mess when they were done and the new outdoor unit with the flagstone base and elevated pad makes the older unit (my house has two) look like a piece of discarded trash. With the new upper unit, I don't think the old lower one has had to turn on even with the 100 degree weather we've been having--it is still functional but I'm not even sure I will need to replace it when/if it gives out. There has also been a significant improvement in comfort regarding humidity and my family is comfortable at a higher temperature than we were using with the old unit. In fact, if we did not turn up the thermostat a few degrees we would be uncomfortably cold. I actually did not notice the Angie's List feedback link on the invoice Pride Mechanical emailed me 11 days ago until tonight when I had some downtime at work during my night shift. We are very happy with the work that was done, and really like the 10 year labor warranty to match the 10 year parts warranty.

Everything went well. He came in, checked the air filter for good measure, then checked the AC unit outside and knew exactly what was wrong. The whole visit was very informative, without being pushy, including details on the age of my unit, approximate cost when replacement time comes, best times of year to have work done, etc. They also honored a $99 service fee coupon, even though our internet was down and we couldn't get to the online coupon. The whole process took about half an hour. Quick and painless.

We purchased a Groupon for a furnace clean out for an older home that had a very old furnace. Pride was very flexible in scheduling and said a technician will come out within a couple days. Due to a mixup on Pride's end, the technician missed his appt. however, I received a call and was told that not only would he still be out that day, but that our next cleaning was free. Due to the age of our furnace (very old and different than current day furnaces), the technician struggled to figure out key areas to inspect and didn't have the right tools to complete the inspection and cleaning up to our standards. When I called the owner back (on a saturday) to give my feedback, the owner called me back right away. He offered to come out himself that day. I told him it was fine to come out during the week. His admin called me on Sunday to ensure we had an appt time set up for later in the week. Excellent service. He came out, thoroughly inspected and cleaned the furnace and was very knowledgable in older furnaces. Would use them again in a heartbeat. Never have dealt with a more professional company with such a high desire to please.

Pride Mechanical's technician was knowledgeable, professional, quick and efficient with the installation of our new furnace. I am very pleased with the work and will have them back for any other heating and air conditioning needs and maintenance. I would recommend them to anyone looking for heating and A/C services.
