Description of Work: We had a rattling noise in our indoor part of the hearter/A/C and called. They responded quickly, but the tehnician seemed really unsure of himself. He said the motor needed replacing (Almost $900) because the bearings were bad. Something just didn't seem right, so I called another company for a second estemate. Tech with 22 years experience said he knew it was the "bird cage" as soon as he heard it. Total cost, less than half of what Control Tech was going to charge to replace the motor. Works perfectly! Moral of the story - get a second estimate!

Description of Work: Brad Odom met with me twice and prepared a proposal with three recommendations for an air handler and heat pump or air conditioner. I met with two other companies, decided upon an air conditioner and was quoted the best price by Brad. The new equipment was installed very efficiently on October 6th. The technicians started at 8:30 a.m., took a short break for lunch and finished the job around 5:00 p.m. They cleaned up after themselves and left around 5:30. Everything is working beautifully, and I'm pleased with the new equipment.

Description of Work: Cleaned and serviced the furnace, humidifier and AC system, changed the humidifier pad, completely washed the AC exterior unit, applied insulation to the drip pipe, washed the electronic air filters and tested the home to be sure it heated and cooled to temperature.

Description of Work: During a recent ice storm, several branches fell from our tree and landed on our not-very-old air conditioner. At least the branches did not go through the roof! A representative came out the day I called and looked over the problem, determined that the situation was stable for now, reviewed a plan for assessing it more completely once the ice and snow cleared up, and proposed what the probable repairs would be. The work may not be finished until the weather improves but I was very happy with the response so far.
