We have a maintenance contract with them that we've had for a number of years. When they came out for their early-summer check, we found out that we had an issue with the air conditioner. They gave us a discounted rate on the repairs. We found them to be reliable and fairly priced. They seemed to do good quality repairs.

They did such a great job. I had received estimates and wanted a local company. I also looked for ten year Super Service Award and this company had this aspect included. I was also impressed with the salesman, Jim. He convinced me to switch systems from a Trane to a Lennox which is energy efficient and best for the house. Jim answered all of my questions well. We were able to extend the warranty with Lennox and he made sure the paper work went through with no problems. For the installation, one of the installers was at my home for ten hours and took one thirty minute break. The system is working fine so far. They offered a discount for our ducts being cleaned with another company. Even this fall, they extended the service plan. I am very impressed with this company. Communication has been very good. They are very service-oriented. I feel like I made an excellent switch from my old company to this new one.

I have been using Control Tech for 8 years. Their professionalism is good. They are pretty punctual, and if they are going to be late they will let me know. I feel their prices are reasonable, but I have never went with anyone else. The experience with them has been very good.

Made an appointment with the Control Tech office the week before. Tim was the representative who came for the appointment. He gave us a thorough review of the geothermal system and options available (discussed two brands and the different methods and costs for ground loops, we were quoted based on a vertical loop). He also did a very thorough job in evaluating our house to size the system (all room and window sizes, checked out the ducts in the crawlspace and attic). He answered all of our questions and sent a formal proposal a few days after the apptmt (including a conventional high-efficiency HVAC system for comparison). We primarily used a different company because of the lack of direct Control Tech warranty on the system (system mfg warranty is a bit skimpy). As a general note to anyone for this kind of estimate, make sure to allow plenty of time for the visit in order to get the sizing and any questions answered.

He did a good job. I like the fact that he is drawn by leaps and bound and I see his tucks all over, it must be about 20 to 30 trucks. Everyone is using him, so he must be doing something right and are nice to deal with. The man they sent was very knowledgeable and experienced, and was willing to share that knowledge and offer suggestions. I have an old house (1915) so there are challenges, and he didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. He patiently answered all questions and most of all, he didn't rush through the job-he made sure he checked everything. So when he told me I didn't need more coolant, I believed it. Some other contractors seem to want to rush through on their way somewhere else, and you can't help but feel that what they tell you is only half the story because they only took the time to look at half the possible issues. Not so with Control Tech. I liked them, and signed up for a yearly maintenance contract as a result.

Had another contractor who had worked on it, but I was having trouble getting them to work with me, so I called Control Tech. Gabe came out the same day, got it working again so at least we had some A/C. Turns out the coil was leaking badly. Since it's contractor grade equipment and the house is now 10 years old, I decided I didn't want to start fixing one thing just to have another break a few months later. So, I decided to replace it and with the tax credit -- we'll, let's just say that helped out. Gabe wrote me a good/better/best estimate. After crunching some numbers, we actually went better then his best estimate because of the energy savings. Their crew (Jeremy and Andrew) showed up two days later with all the equipment got right to work. They were great guys. They worked late that night to get the A/C hooked back up before they left so we could all sleep in comfort, then came back the next day to hook up the furnace. All, in all, it went very well, and I'm very pleased. The new unit has made a lot of difference. It's surprising, really how much more comfortable it's been and how quiet the new unit is. Should have done it sooner. Oh, and during the course of this, they needed to remove a bunch of ornamental grass, which they did no problem, and even went so far as to go buy dirt to fill in where they had removed it. Way to go, guys.

I?ve had excellent experiences with them. There has not been any difficulty dealing with them. They are very fair and professional. Ryan has been with them for quite awhile and he is an excellent technician. I will continue to use them in the future.

They provide prompt service and the guys are always very professional. They have always been good and they are honest about what they are billing you for. The second person was on time, but he left without putting my furnace back together and did not communicate with me. My husband had to put it back together.

Our 7 year old builder?s grade central a/c developed a leak in the coil so we were without a/c. We got two bids and chose to go with Control Tech. I called for an estimate on Tuesday afternoon, Jim came on Wednesday morning and by Thursday evening we had a whole new system installed. We chose Control Tech because of the professionalism and knowledge of Jim who gave us three options: Good, Better and Best. He thoroughly explained the details of each option. In this bidding process I discovered that, in order to qualify for the Federal Energy Tax Credit, there are several strict criteria which must be met so it is imperative that the HVAC company choose the right components for the system. Jim carries a laptop with a printer so he presented us with a detailed proposal including all part numbers of the system. Our other bid was much less detailed with few specifics of the system. Suzanne worked her magic to squeeze our installation in asap. The installers, Jeremy and Andrew, arrived on time, were meticulous in their work, and extremely polite and respectful of our home. And the icing on the cake -- Control Tech came in over $1500 less than our other bid for a much higher quality, name-brand system. We are delighted with our choice of Control Tech and the system they installed.
