There were several examples of a lack of communication between sales reps and workers and foremen. It was a big,dirty job and seemed to be going well. Then they hit a water line at a place where we had said they should not dig. After the wall covering was attached, we noticed a bad smell in one of the rooms. When we looked closer, the wall covering had not been attached properly and mold was growing behind the covering. The gentleman who came out to fix it was very helpful and went above and beyond, but we were not pleased that it needed more attention. He came out again later to fill in foundation holes that the anchoring crew had left open to the outside of the wall. Even the sales rep refused our request to have them filled in, but we were concerned with dirt and small animals gaining access to the walls. Again the gentleman was creative and came up with a solution. Overall our experience with Indiana Foundation was not a particularly pleasant one, and we would not use them again.

After getting some other estimates, I determined that they missed a large area that needed repair in addition to the original estimate. When I called them, they said that they just looked at what was on the home ispection and nothing more. They were slow to go back to the site and give me an updated estimate. I thought it was in my best interest to use someone else to do the repair.

The company was immediately responsive. Everyone that I worked with at Indiana Foundation Services was very helpful and Knowledgeable. Keith understood exactly needed to be done and was able to give me a very fair estimate. The office was excellent at notifying me about dates and time to expect their crew. I returned home to a completed job that hit the budget in the head. Great experience.

Crew of three arrived on time, covered all floors and carpets with matting, worked diligently for close to four hours, and cleaned all areas before leaving. The outside work involved clearing 8-10 inches of snow and digging in partially frozen ground to lay the discharge pipe. The workers were polite, willing to explain all procedures, and professional. We are very pleased with the results.

They were friendly, did good work, and I was pleased with the price.

Workers came in the cold weather to clean out, level and seal the crawl space. The next day they encapsulated the entire space with a thick padded plastic material and installed the sump pump. All unwanted materials and trash were hauled off and everything cleaned well. Since the "turtle" entry way was not immediately available, a door was fabricated until the plastic "turtle" entry could be installed. All work is now complete. The floors of my house are much warmer and I don't have near as much dust on the furniture. I am no longer anxious about going into the crawl space and have stored all my Christmas decorations there. All employees, including estimator and supervisors, were courteous and friendly.

The whole process went very smoothly. IFS was not the cheapest estimate we got but we chose them because they could get the work done the soonest. The guys who did the work were very professional and thorough. Keith was great to work with, too. After the job was done we had them come out to check one concern we had about the connection to the sump pump and they explained the reasoning behind it but fixed it to our satisfaction, nonetheless. We would recommend them.

They were quick and courteous. Their price was good. I would use them again.

We had some sub-sidings of the portion of the house. So they are going to drill that will pierce down through the earth and jack the house up. They do it all without a lot of disturbance. They drive the steel rods into the earth and jack up the whole foundation. We are planning to get it done this spring because the price they have offered is good and it is something important to be taken care off. They were very good. They were very professional. The call was prompted because of a crack in the basement. I wanted to replace the carpets and so I wanted that crack sealed. They explained to me that they would do that for a certain price but the real problem was settling and it was bigger problem than the crack. They told me sealing the crack would be a temporary solution and it wouldn?t actually fix the problem. They then showed me stuff on the outside that confirmed it to me. They made me aware of the problem I wasn?t aware of and offered me a good solution. We are planning to get in done. They wrote up an estimate that had a folder with the explanation of what technology they use and things like that.

If I ever have foundation issues, Indiana Foundation is the only company I will use.

The initial quoting process went well, the salesman was very professional and prompt. The inital bid although seemed high was also reasonable considering they were contracted to reinstall the drywall that was going to be torn out, eliminating the need to hire a seperate contractor. Once the work began is where the good feelings left. Part of the contract was to minimize the damage when tearing out a few of the stair treads so the landing could be replaced and if possible salvage the carpet on that landing. The workers did remove the drywall from the basement, however tossed all the wood (nails and all) in with the carpeting/padding in a heap. The workers also spent the morning removing all the drywall around the area to be replaced before realizing that the foundation was wood and not concrete block (this came as a suprise to all of us), then promplty stopped working saying they couldn't do anything without talking to their supervisor. The nature of the wood foundation initially caused the local owner/operator to not want to do the job citing they didn't want to undermine the stability of the house. Later they came back saying they could do the work. When I started asking questions about what they were going to do to keep the structural aspect intact, the owner got offended and had the salesman call us to tell us to pay for what they did (the new pump and exterior work) (the battery came broken and the controller was installed backward and needed to be finished later) and they weren't going to do the rest. Later, the main owner came in from out of town and met with me and the salesman. By this point I was offended that they didn't want to answer questions I asked when I asked them. I did not have them finish the job and found another contractor. (Note: the salesman did remain professional through the whole process and was put in an uncomfortable position by the owners. I do not blame him for the breakdown in this job, he was just the messenger.)

The crew arrived when the said they would. They removed two decent sized shrubs from in front of the porch and then started digging to install 2 piers at the front of the porch (the back of the porch ties into the house foundation via lintel blocks). It took them a few hours to finish the job and ended up working in the rain. They did a great job fixing the problem, the porch is now back to where it should be (it had sunk and pulled about 3/4 inch away from the house).

Indiana Foundation came out and removed all the concrete along the edges of the wall in the basement and garage. My garage is under the house next to my basement. After the concrete was removed, they installed a drain system and sump pump. They poured in new concrete after the installation was complete. Next, they put in wall anchors - which required them to drill holes in the front of the house to put down rods and then drills holes in the wall of the basement/garage to install another rod meeting with the first. There are large anchors on the wall that tighten up and pull in the bowed wall. The job was completed in just a couple days and we haven't had any water problems. Their work comes with a lifetime guarantee which is reassuring.

I spoke with someone at their office immediately, and they set up an appointment for a representative to come within a few days. The gentleman was early, but called in advance. He inspected the crack and did a thorough job of checking it inside and outside, using a flashlight as well. With his expertise, it looked like a basic crack and was not in need of major repair. He suggested using foundation or cement caulking to fill the crack, which would also allow me to monitor whether the crack was getting bigger or not by the pulling of the caulking. They really went above and beyond in providing a packet, including references from several areas, a list of local clients with phone numbers we could call for impressions, and a dvd, which let me know what they could do to repair the foundation. I was not aware of the technology or how it was done, and I now have an idea of how foundation repair works. That was incredibly helpful. I even got his recommendation on a tree in the front yard, which I appreciated. They did not charge me anything for all of this personal service. If and when I do have a problem with the foundation, there is no question?I will absolutely call them.

They seemed to know what they were doing alright and I got enough information on them. The price was comparable and the quality of their work seemed to be alright.

They were awesome people to deal with and they gave us a very good estimate for the work, but I could not have the work done because our finances are not yet there. The guy who came out was very thorough and polite. He did not act like sales man and he did not push any of the work on us. He came out and gave us a good honest quote.

They showed up on time and did what they said they would, and the price was what they quoted. The only negative is that it did not completely fix the problem.

It was fabulous. He didn't charge me at all for coming out and dispensing advice.

We got their name from a neighbor who had anchors installed in their basement garage. The estimator arrived on time and explained the process clearly. The workers arrived on time (!!), worked steadily, and were careful not to disrupt any more of the yard than they had to. After one year, the wall has not moved. The anchors are guaranteed, so I'm not worried, and I'm optimistic that they will continue to hold the wall in place and prevent further movement. It certainly is a better, cheaper solution than replacing the wall, since a new wall might begin to lean also.

They were on time, draped all of my belongings to keep them clean and got to work. They finished in less than 2 days as promised and cleaned up like they weren't even there. They even worked around some tricky areas without complaint. I have since recommended them to several family members and friends. If I ever move to another home with a basement, they will be the first people I call.

It was a really good job. Keith Tinsman was the person that we dealt with. He knew everything and he was very good.

The service man who came to my door was very polite and professional. He called 10 minutes before our appt. to tell me he was going to be about 15 minutes late (which is why he got a B in punctuality). I showed him my basement and the problems I was having with leaks and mold. He was very honest with me and said that installing a sump pump or doing heavy waterproofing around the wall seams really wouldn't be necessary and that I could probably do OK with better gutter drainage. He also recommended I just clean the mold off the walls with bleach then run a dehumidifier to keep my basement air dry. I was happily surprised and grateful for his advice. If you want to get a company that'll give you a totally honest opinion on a basement project, use these guys.

They are very professional. They installed their waterproofing system. We had a significant rain about 5 months later, and had rain in our basement, they came back out to fix the problem, completely for free, and completed the work in a timely manner and now we have a completely dry basement. They did an excellent job.

The installation went well but there are a few minor issues related to the professionalism. The installers put protective plastic down over the entry way from our front door to the basement steps but nothing beyond that point. The end result was mud on the steps and down in the basement that we had to clean up later. They also forgot to seal up the CleanSpace product at the point where you enter the crawl space (this was corrected very quickly and easily by a followup visit). Overall they did a good job and I'm happy with the installation and even chose to use them again for another project so the minor problems did not have any major impact on my opinion of their service.
