Description of Work: ARS performed a diagnostic on our noisy furnace. They identified that the inducer motor needed replaced and suggested several other repairs that were needed (the system, furnace & A/C, was 12 years old). Since the quoted repairs ($2,000) added up to about the cost of a new furnace they sent out a "Home Comfort Specialist" to give us a quote on a new system. The specialist showed up over 2 hours late. He then tried to talk us into a 3 ton, 96% high efficiency, variable speed, 16 SEER system that was way out of our price range ($14,000). He insisted this would save us money with a 2-3 year payback, but when we did the math, the payback period was longer than the life of the system. He still didn't back off that system, even though we expressed concerns over the price. Rather than give us more practical options, he told us about financing options. We ended up purchasing a builder grade system (2.5 ton, 80% efficiency, 10 SEER) the next day from another company ($5,600).

Description of Work: I am NOT giving this vendor TOP grades for this reason. I scheduled an apt. which THEY did NOT keep. After no service personnel appeared within the time window they gave me, I had to CALL them and ask what was up. It dawned upon someone in their office that they had pulled the service technician from my job sending him out to an "emergency" and no one bothered to call me. How special!! I was stuck at my home waiting for them!! I was forced to reschedule my appt. for a couple of days later. When the service technician arrived two days later, he was on time, very professional and very thorough. I would use this company again IF I could have that technician but their office staff is sorely lacking.

Description of Work: The service call was originally to have my sump pump checked. It was working well...the technician was Manny-a real, gentleman and obviously very skilled in plumbing issues. He checked my hot water tank for me (which I had since 1996) and it was in such bad shape, I had him replace it that very day. When he left, you would never know anything had been disturbed...he cleaned up so well...not a spot of water or dirt on my wood floors. I would highly recommend him for any plumbing work through ARS!

Description of Work: To replace toilet flange seal and still had to come back as it still leaked. But the price was way too high. I felt because I purchase a coupon from you they still gave me an elevated price. I called others and got lesser estimates>

Description of Work: He had to troubleshoot why water was not flowing and listened carefully to what I had been doing. It turns out that I turned off the water softener. |He showed me the problems and solutions and made suggestions. Very helpful

Description of Work: Installed new furnace and air conditioner. Installers were great and very professional. I even needed an adjustment and the service person was also very professional. I feel the price was very high but it was 90 degrees in my house so I was a bit vulnerable.
