Window Makeover - Indianapolis

Dave provided good service, and despite some miscommunication, everything turned out.

First of all the guy said he will be able to make it on one day then he didn’t make it till the next day. Then he doesn’t call me back until the next day to say he couldn’t make it. Once he set an appointment he shows up an hour and half earlier. He wakes up my daughter coming out. Subsequently my parents were there. My dad actually broke his foot trying to get up quickly when he was ringing the doorbell. I am pretty angry with them. We set an appointment for Thursday. My parents watch my daughter. The gentleman was scheduled for 3 o’clock and he showed up at 1:15 on that Thursday. He rang the bell and he woke up my daughter in her nap. Subsequently my dad was trying to get up to catch the door. He broke his foot when he got up. Then the guy ended up giving a quote. He was rushed and he really didn’t go into much detail. To be honest, he acted like he really gave a damn. His name was Bret who was giving the estimate. I think they quoted $780 which seemed a bit high to me. The disclaimer on the back of their estimate says they don’t cover any broken glass. Anything that might happen while they are doing their work, they won’t cover it. If they happen to break another pane they would replace only a few and they wouldn’t cover it. It was double pane windows so it wasn’t energy efficient type of windows. It seemed pricey and there were too many loopholes in their disclaimers.

It went well and they did the work right. They are professional. I will give them all A's.

Matt came as scheduled and replaced a rot damaged window frame, sill and caulked whole area. Perfect fit, made sure window screen and alarm functioned before he cleaned up.

Very well. One guy came out and did the windows. Got it all done in a day. Cleaned up the mess after he was done. They did a very good job. And the windows look great.

They arrived on time, introduced themselves and then went to work rebuilding 12 of my windows. All of the workers were very pleasant to deal with and worked hard to complete the job on time. I have three more windows to do, which were not included in the original estimate, and I will definitely have them back to complete all of my windows. The windows look great.

They will be back in spring to do some more replacements and I am hoping they will take care of it then.

David Benigni came to our house on time. He was professional and left a detailed quote. Was unable to do the patio door?it needed to be replaced, by another company. We decided to replace all of our windows, instead of repairing those needing it. We were satisfied with our experience with Window Make Over.

All went great. it was several weeks from first contact until a work date could be set up, but they actually called and worked the job in three days sooner. They were very careful during the inside work, and cleaned up outside/roof. This was a great alternate to having all new windows/frames installed.

They showed up when they said and finished when they said they would. Very friendly and courteous workers that did the repairs.

First we scheduled a representative to come and give an estimate. We weren't sure exactly if the services they provided would solve our window problems. He made suggestions and we agreed. He gave the estimate and asked for 1/2 down before they would schedule the service. We made the deposit. Then another guy had to come out and measure before it could be scheduled, but he did that without us being there. We played some telephone tag after the second guy came out but we finally were able to schedule the work. They weren't able to get us on the schedule for over 3 weeks, but they sent Bob the day we were promised. Bob got there just about on time and went right to work. Very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and went the extra mile. We are very pleased with the work and are thrilled to have our windows working correctly without having to purchase replacement windows.

Window Makeover were great from the estimate of the job to completion. They were on time, quick, and professional. Explained exactly what they would do to fix the window. I had another estimate from another contractor and they wanted to replace the whole window even though there was nothing wrong with the window itself for over double the cost. They were very efficient and cleaned up completely after themselves. I was very impressed with the completed project and all personnel I came in contact with.

It was up to my standards but I had to call them again to come back and make repairs. But that was done easily.

They were professional, but the guy who gave me the work date gave me the wrong date. When I got a hold of them, they sent someone out right away.

The men who replaced the windows were very friendly and professional.

Craig came out and wrote up an estimate. He was punctual, professional and gave me the estimate immediately. I called him several times afterward to ask questions as I got other estimates. He returned my calls promptly if not immediately available and was courteous. I got 4 estimates, most of them close with a few higher outliers. I went with Window Makovers due to their reputation and a competitive price. The crew arrived on time. Eric introduced himself and some of the other crew members. I estimate that there were as many as 6 men working on the windows that day. We had one particularly bad window that took them all day. At the end of the day Eric did an outside walk-around with me. After they left I discovered that they had left several tools and drop cloths throughout my house. I called to let them know and they were apologetic. This is the reason why I gave them B for professionalism. However, Craig did come back and talked to me about some of the observations one of the painters gave me about the windows when he was giving me an estimate. All the window repair companies that gave me estimates missed some rotting wood on the garage windows. Craig agreed to repairs those at no additional cost. I would recommend Window Makeover to others. The lack of clean-up after the job I believe is not their usual practice.

I wanted to share how much I appreciated his honesty and that I will use them in the future when my windows really do need a makeover.

I was very happy with them. They were very reliable. They were on time. They did what they said they were going to do. I like everything about them. They were very trustworthy and did an excellent job.

The work went well and the window with its PVC frame et al. looks great. It is all sealed up and should be mostly maintenance free. I can tell the craftsmanship is top notch. It took a long time for the work to get done even taking into account that parts needed to be ordered and manufactured off site. It was approximately 2 months from the estimate to finished work. I was told that the job was small and that the work could be fit in in an afternoon. I expected a faster finish. Perhaps they should not have gotten my hopes up.

I had never used this company before but definitely will again. The customer service was amazing! Everything they said would happen did...their communication with updates and followup was great. Cost was very reasonable and turn around time was reasonable and realistic.

Employee returned my voice mail promptly. He abruptly stated they only work on "custom houses" 25 to 30 years old" - different than stated on the Angies List description. Wasted my time!

Very professional company from initial phone contact to sales rep to person who performed the work. Had a small issue with home security magnet in the original window but Window Makeover went above and beyond to resolve the issue.
