Window Makeover - Indianapolis

I was very satisfied with the job. I had gotten a couple of other quotes and their prices were the most reasonable. They were efficient and quick. Everything looks great. Would definitely recommend to my friends and use them again.

I had asked window makeover to replace a broken window pane, they asked for half payment upfront as a cost and stated it would be 10 days for the replacement glass to come in. This was perfectly reasonable, if it was remotely true. The contractor didn't come up till a month later and even then I had to hound them for updates on when they were coming out, or when the replacement glass had come. When the contractor finally did come back out he broke the replacement glass trying to install it in the window, and of course stated it would be another 10 days for the replacement. After this interaction I heard nothing for weeks even after follow ups. I did finally hear from an "Owner" but upon calling him back (he had left a voicemail) I have still heard nothing and they have made no efforts to rectify the situation. I dont know if Window Makeover is just horribly disorganized, or the contractor was trying to hide his mistake, but I expected the common courtesy of at least a callback or update. I would at very least like my deposit back, as at the end of the day the window is still broken 5 months later.

I would highly recommend Window Makeover and use them again in the future. I had a large glass door with wood rot on the bottom. I called Window Makeover to come over and do an estimate of just replacing the rotted wood. They viewed the state of the rot and said a new window was needed. I called some other vendors for quotes and they could replace the rot but their price was 200 dollars more than getting a new window from Window Makeover. The installation was on time and went perfect. After the installation I noticed a place on the window frame that I needed to paint but I could not reach the spot because my sliding glass door covered the spot on my stationary door. I called Windows Makeover to ask if they could come back and remove my sliding glass door so I could paint my new stationary glass door that they had just installed. Not a problem they said and they came back in a few days and I am a very happy camper. Great customer service, great value, and a very professional installation.

Seal was broken on the windows that they worked on. I had issues with scheduling initially. The technicians were nice but the scheduling and the quality of the work left something to be desired.

The technician was on time and efficient repair as contracted. The cleanup was thorough.

The crew arrived promptly and were very well organized. Installation of the new products went smoothly and quickly (an all day job) with the team of several workers on my very large windows with transoms. They even went above and beyond with several details. There was one small window that was left out of the written estimate and WM repaired it at no charge a few weeks later after the customized millwork arrived. I promptly had the primed windows painted; my painter said he has painted over many repair jobs and in his opinion the work and the caulking was very well done - nice to get a confirmation of good work! My windows look great and I am pleased that I have replaced troublesome wood where needed with PVC. Also, I used WM because two other acquaintances had also used them for their big expensive windows and were please with the workmanship.

I had wood rot on two windows that required a frame replacement. While it took a couple of weeks to get everything set up (inspect, mill wood, actually install), they showed up right on time and were finished within two hours. The windows look great and they guaranteed them for ten years.

They were responsive, punctual, and had good pricing. I think that they did a very good job on all of our window repairs.

We had Window Makeover replace windows in the fall, then this spring we finished the replacement of the rest of the windows in our house. The workmen were on time. Very professional in attitude and quality of work. When we decide to replace the windows on our front porch we will definitely have Window Makeover return. Have been very pleased with the quality of the windows. No drafts during this past winter! In total there were quite a number of windows to replace. Five were original to our 1920's house. Three of the original windows were close to 6 ft tall. Excellent workmanship.

Outstanding work! Would absolutely highly recommend Dave the technician who handled the job. Very good at what he does with Window Makeover. Handles his work as if it's his own window he's repairing. Everything is handled very cleanly and quite accurately. No hitches whatsoever. First class tech with great people skills. It was a real pleasure to have Dave the technician from Window Makeover in our home.

We were pretty happy with the people that did it. The best thing I like about them was that they do a good job and they seem like at any time we had a question about anything we were able to get hold of them and they came out and took care of it. It was a good price because we had checked one or two other places and so they did a much better job on price and they did a better job on the amount of time because the other people were telling us that they did not know how long it was going to take. The times we called them they were pretty responsive.

Windows are being fabricated and will install when complete.

It was the price that made me decide to go with them.

When they come, you have a rotten window, but when they leave, you have a practically new window at a fraction of the cost. They are very courteous and do great work!

I called a few places for a quote on window repair. This was the only company that took two weeks to call me back. I had already gone with another company by that time. I cannot comment on their work but I was disappointed it took so long just to give me a call back.

Window Makeover had great customer service and a competitive price. The windows look great so far and also have a 10 year warranty. Installation only took one day and the workers did a nice job, causing no work for the customer. Dave Custer and Kevin Howard were the tech's and did a wonderful job.

Quality work at a fair price. Window Makeover replaced defective jamb-liners on 22 double hung windows. We are very pleased with the outcome.The work was done in a timely manner with minimal disruption in our home. Kevin, the primary installer was outstanding.

The window originally installed had rot damage. Dave Custer from Window makeover rebuilt the window frame and substantially less cost than replacing the whole window with a new one.. He did an excellent job. The company always has. This is not the first one that has had to be replaced.

From start to finish this is one of the best service providers I have ever used. They were responsive from my first call with the estimate provided by Brett. He even came out a second time for some additional windows. All work was done in a single day because they sent out a large crew. Raymond and Kevin were the primary supervisors and did a great job of keeping the crew going and getting the work done. Each and every team member greeted me with their name and were courteous and friendly. They made a point of cleaning up after themselves. I could not have asked for a better experience. I will definitely use them again for any type of window issues, but I feel very comfortable that it will not be to the windows that they repaired!

We had used them in the past and they did a great job in replacing some glass and rotted wood on windows in our old house that we had to have done prior to selling our home so I called them again to replace a broken window. They came out measured the window and ordered the glass. It did take a while before the glass came in, but they replaced the glass and Dave did an outstanding job. Very professional.

Communication was very poor throughout the whole process and they often left me wondering whether they had the in-house expertise to do an unusual window on a 30 year old house. Neither salesman (who gave estimate) or measurement guy (who was supposed to do the work) understood the window setup and company decided to check with manufacturer. Never got back to me after that and we passed the originally estimated time for work completion. This required numerous contacts by me before they sent out a third employee who felt he could do the work (note that we had replaced a similar window 5 years ago using Window Alternatives, their former company, apparently there are no original employees or owners left, and a glass company with no problems so I knew it could be done). While I think they are fine for non-complicated repairs, and might consider using them again, my experience is that they have limited expertise on staff to handle anything out of the ordinary. I understand complications and construction delays but they really dropped the ball on handling this and failed to communicate in any timely way without me initiating it. So although the work is now done to my satisfaction, I had to push and prod and pull to get the job done much later than originally agreed.
