Description of Work: It was a very easy process. I went to the showroom, selected what I wanted, they came out and measured with laser technology and 2 weeks later - they installed. Very quick, easy and professional. I would absolutely recommend to everyone!

Description of Work: I had Granite counters installed for my kitchen. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and helpful and informed me of a special promotion that was occuring. So I was able to get them cheaper than I expected which allowed me to spend more on other aspects of my kitchen facelift. The installers were prompt and when an error was discovered with the measurements on the Friday install they called it in and rushed fabrication over the weekend to return on Monday. That was an unexpected glitch but it looks wonderful and I saved a lot of money over other estimates. The company kept in contact with scheduling and I was able to pay over the phone instead of having to travel to the showroom again. I was very pleased with the professionalism and able to reach them easily.

Description of Work: I would not recommend this company to anyone. The intial interaction was very positive. I even worked with the manager when placing my order, as my sales agent was not in. It took 5 trips and over 2 months for the installation of 3 bathroom counters, a tub surround and a lip on shower to be installed. The man who measured for installation seemed to understand what I wanted but when finished product arrive on shower pieces, I just wanted two slabs to set on top of ceramic "wall" around base of shower, it was a huge one piece that was two to three times larger than what I needed. They broke a counter piece bringing it in resulting in waiting two weeks for that piece to be remade. Each time something went wrong, which happened 3 times, it took two more weeks to be remade as all work is done in Michigan and they only send a truck to Indy once a week. This required me to take more time off work, and reschedule my other subcontractors numerous times. Promised were made on the phone when I contacted the manager numerous times about when the job would be finished only to have the person who called to schedule the numerous appointments to have no idea what was promised. I had to fight each time to get the job done in the untimely manner it was completed. It would have been another month if I hadn't pushed them. They only know how to install whole pieces of granite. They do not have anyone who can seam, this makes for the need to use much more granite so the initail lower price does not save you money as you need to buy larger pieces if any of your needs are not straight no openning counters. On my last installation, trip 5 of the project I was worn out! The shower pieces had definite flaws that my installer tried to say was a natural flaw, it wasn't it was some sort of damage from a chemical, but I was more than tied of seeing them and saidto leave it. I also found out then that they wouldn't install these to apron pieces for me either, and fortunately my wonderful tile man came back and did this work for them. Once they had left and I had my other subs in and could finally use my bath again imagine my surprise to see that the backsplash by by my tub was cracked from top to bottom. I know the installer must have know this happened, but he did not mention it when he had me look over the work. I contacted the manager in June about all the issues that arrouse with this job. He responded to my email and said he would have to speak with the owner. I have still not heard back from them since then. In addition I would note that I had over 6 subcontractors come for this job. Surface encounters is the only group that did not take the time to protect their feet from bringing dirt into my home. This fact was agrevated by the fact that they had to come in and out of my home so many times. I woudl encourage you to find a local supplier, installer and ask about their skill set and ability to do higher level work, like seaming before hiring them. I learned the hard way on this job!

Description of Work: We had Debbie as a sales person, and things were going well until she left the company. We didn't have a new sales person until near the end of our experience. We worked with a manager in between reps. He was not understanding, short with us, and turned the experience into a very heart breaking struggle. Stephanie did step in to become our sales rep and got us through as she saved the sale when we were about to get our money back and go some where else. We had not checked Angie's List for this company prior to working with it nor the contractor which the company referred us to. Both were bad experiences for us and led to our using the list as well as reading every current review. Every other company that we used after these 2 have done great work. We have learned and benefited for the future from this experience.

Description of Work: Removed the old formica countertops in my kitchen and replaced with granite countertops. Dimensions were measured with a laser system and this seemed to work well.

Description of Work: We went to this company after searching for a reasonably priced supplier of granite. We found that they were located close to us and were also open 7 days a week so it was easy to visit their showroom.
