They were prompt when they did the work. They billed me promptly. Everything was fine. I would highly recommend them. They are very good at what they do.

We have used this company twice in the past to maintain the finish on our deck and have been very satisfied. They gave us a thorough quote in writing detailing what they would do and how much it would cost. They followed through and performed the service when they said they would. We are pleased with the results and plan to use this company again in 3-4 years when the deck needs to be cleaned and stained again.

I wasn't happy with either the color of the stain applied or the quality of the work done, but in fairness, I didn't notify them so they didn't have an opportunity at that time to offer a remedy. I figured that as long as stain stayed on for the 2-year guaranteed period I would live with it, then have it re-done. However, the stain began peeling off this past spring and continued to worsen throughout the summer. On 9/1//10 I called Deck Pro to inquire about the terms of the guarantee, and they said they would have someone come out within 2 weeks to look at the deck, but no one has been out and they haven't called. I've left two additional voice mail messages since 9/20/10, but have had no response.

They were really hard to get in touch with. I had to call and email them several times. They were going to come out several times, but they didn't, though I know that the weather was a factor. I really had to work to get them out. When he sprayed the deck and applied the product, he sprayed the cobwebs and it was a mess. I had to get all of these sprayed cobwebs off of the deck.

I got three estimates, and Deck Pro was the best. In addition, they had done it before, and did a good job. The work was well done, and the price was excellent. Communication is not a strength of this company. There were delays because of equipment problems, but no one called to let me know when they would be back to finish the job. Our deck was left half finished for a week. Nevertheless, I would give them another chance.

Overall, it went well. They haven't followed up on some details they stated they would. They said they would hand stain they areas that they cannot spray including under the rails and around the spindles but they still haven't. I am a bit disappointed in their detail work. I had sent an email twice and phone, but haven't received a return call. It has been raining quite a bit so I believe they may just be backed up. They did a great job with the power washing and overall staining so I will give them a chance to follow up. If they are able to follow up in a timely manor, I would consider hiring them again. They gave me a warranty of two years, and an inspection. I gave them all summer and fall to finish. They did a good job when they were here, they said that they would hand stain the top of the rail, and it wasn’t, it was spray-painted. There are different areas on the railing and on the back that are painted, but not painted completely. I have tried to contact them to come back and finish their job, but I get no response. This has lasted for many months. The hand railing was not painted well, nor the skirt. I mopped it, and it is already chipping. The paint from Home Depot never chips like that. They also left their cigarette butts around.

At the time, I was very pleased with the prep and the finishing of the stain. I knew that using a semi-transparent stain would not hold up as long, but I preferred that look. So, in 2009, when it needed to be done again, I attempted to contact them via email and phone on several occasions. I never heard back from anyone, so, for that reason, I would not use them again.

The job started very well and they sent us chips to choose our stain color and promptly came out to start the work. However, they used a new contracting group who feathered the wood on our deck from careless power washing. After numerous phone calls back and forth they came out and redid the job. The deck is still feathered in some places and they said that they would come back this spring and touch up problematic areas for free but so far they have refused to return our phone calls. Very frustrating!

They wanted to schedule about a month out, but we were going to be out of town at that time, so we did not end up getting the service done. Also, when we got into detail about what we wanted to do, we realized that we would want to schedule the deck cleaning after we had work done on an area outside near the deck. Our interaction with them went well, and we would consider using them in the future.

They did it on a sunny day as promised and finished it the next day as they ran out of the product. We were pleased with the service and the beautiful finish of our deck. We highly recomment them.

I called Deck Pro to set up an appointment to look at our decks and give us an estimate. The Deck Pro representative came out the next day and left a copy of the estimate at our house. The Deck Pro people I dealt with over e-mail and on the phone were courteous and professional. They were very nice and seemed sincerely interested in good customer service. I really appreciate their time and effort.

I had to call twice (though the first was well before deck cleaning season) to get a response. But after that Tom and his wife were prompt and professional. As before, he did an awesome job restoring my cypress decking from a badly weathered state, slippery with decomposed leaves and organic matter to a nearly new state.

I have not received a return phone call.
