Deck Pro

I could not be more please with the job that this company did. They took all the furniture and flower pots off the deck, power washed the entire deck, applied a premium stain and sealer that I would have chosen had I been doing the job myself, and they waited a day to make sure it was dry and they returned to replace all of my furniture and flower pots exactly where they had been before. Overall, they did superb work and I would highly recommend them.

The provider let me know he had arrived and asked if I had any questions before he started. He took time to answer the questions I had about dry time and toxicity to animals and suggested several tints he thought would work well with our home and deck. He and his helper removed all the deck furniture. We didn't have to do any of that. He was respectful of the plants around our deck, covering them to protect them without my having to ask him to. I can't believe the difference it made to our deck. The color we selected (one he had suggested) was perfect, and he did a very professional job. The company is a pleasure to work with--responsive to calls and email messages--and treats customers in a courteous, respectful manner.

Communications were brief and on point. Price point was adjusted up from the coupon offered price but he explained that was due to the additional time/materials to clean and treat the multiple roof support pillars/posts as this is a covered screened in porch. 100.00 dollars was added to the original price. I was fine with that adjustment. Jason arrived at established time. Appearance and demeanor was professional and he made efficient use of his time to get his equipment setup so he could get the deck and support posts power-washed. Jason worked alone but seemed comfortable and again, efficient. Arrived at set time on the next morning and completed the work with the application of the sealer on the cleaned decking. The deck/porch looks nothing like it did prior to the service. I was astounded at the difference in appearance (Weve been in the home for 1.5 years and its a 8 yr old home/porch). Great job and would recommend his service!

It was fantastic. They were great. It couldn't have been any better. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing their deck taken care of. Everything was great. I had no complaints. It was wonderful.

It looks amazing!!! These guys know what they're doing. They're professional, on time, courteous and cooperative, and reasonably priced. Josh worked in almost 100 degree heat both days, never complained, and powered through the job no problem. I would absolutely recommend Deck Pro to my neighbors, friends, and colleagues. Next time our deck needs work, I'll be calling Deck Pro back.

Response to Service Provider. You are receiving this response only because you made this statement: "She biught a coupon knowing there was no access to the deck. It is on top of a roof so why would you buy one in the first place" in your response. As my husband and I have personally refinished the deckboards on this rooftop deck ourselves in the past, we know it can be done. It was highly insulting to be treated as if I am foolish to have thought it could. The grade of 'D' was not given because you stated the job was beyond the scope of the deal. I would have fully understood that with no problem. The grade was given because you could have saved both of us a lot of wasted time by reading the messages that "angie's list prefers I contact through" and simply letting me know that couldn't work. The grade holds more firmly after having been insulted and misrepresented in your response. Sir, your response said " I was not provided with a phone number. She did email me that she would be home between 8-11 but I never made a aappointment with her". Re: the phone number, I assumed you had access to my phone number via the Angie's List purchase. My error. Yet you could have asked for my number in your first reply if you didn't have access to it. Re: the appointment, on 8/5 you said you were coming on Friday [8/9]. I clearly stated on that same date that this is a rooftop deck (in 2 different messages), and that there is no outside access. Your response sounds as if this was something you didn't know until you went there. See the copies of our message correspondence below. You are the one who said you would "be out on Friday" without asking me if that was okay or apparently looking for a reply. I told you in my reply on 8/5 when I could be home - as I had told you in the same message there is no outside access - and you never responded. Interesting that you saw the time but not the part about the access? It has been too long ago to show proof, but I am certain I attempted to contact you by phone the evening before to confirm as that is my general practice if I've not had a confirmation call. I stayed home and available as long as I could on Friday in case you actually did come. You didn't come, and you didn't message me again until the 11th. Suggestion: Don't insult customers or potential customers. I might have considered looking at your company for the backyard deck project we're considering down the road. He was here within the hour of me ordering the service, and was very friendly and professional. He gave us a free estimate and we were looking forward to working with him. Unfortunately the deal covered much less of the work than I had anticipated, and so we asked for a refund for the deal rather than go forward with the work.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was great. The person who came out responded right away. He got the work done, did a good job and came out quickly after I called.

Absolutely perfect, the finished product is so beautiful. Jason immediately responded to the big deal offer and contacted us to schedule a date and time that would work and started at the agreed date and time. They moved our patio furniture, power washed the deck and returned for the staining process. They sprayed and brushed the stain on our deck. They were professional and courteous and returned after the deck finished drying and returned all furniture, grill and swing back to the original location. We would definitely hire them for the future when this job needs completion in the future.

WOW! Jason was pleasant, quick, and super effieient. The deck is over 25 years old and was built with pressure treated lumber. It was not a pretty sight. Jason power washed (looked new at this point) and came back the next day to stain. The deck looks better today than when built. Thanks Deck Pro for an awesome job. I would definately use this company again.

They were easy to get scheduled and the quality of work was great. They also offer a warranty on all work so I don’t have to worry about anything.

We had more square footage than the coupon, but he charged us a very reasonable price. He was here on time, did the job, and we were very happy.

It went very well. Once I purchased the coupon on Angie's List, I received contact from Deck Pro the same day. I had a lot of questions about what they were going to do, when they were going to do it, and what the steps were in the process. They were very responsive with all of my questions and in a timely fashion. They did a nice job replacing all the old boards and then cleaning the deck. They did all of this with no damage to the surroundings. They returned after the deck was dry and there was no rain in the forecast. They took their time with the application and did not get anything on the house. It was a very professional job.

Deck Pro power cleaned our dirty deck, gave us a choice of stains, with a recommendation that we go darker, and stained our deck (which has 2 levels and a built-in L-shaped bench with back. He was always there when he told me he would be, and did a good job. We would definitely have Deck Pro do our deck again.

Jason Glass is the person I have been in contact with leading up to the actual work being done. That contact was necessary because the Big Deal I signed on for cost about $200 for 200 sq ft of deck space. As I knew ours would amount to about three times that, we had several conversations about it. A couple of weeks ago he came out to look over the deck, take his own measurements, and provide an estimate of the actual cost. As I had done some pricing around town, I felt that his price was reasonable and fair. He arrived on Monday, Aug. 19th and proceeded to pressure wash the deck surface, plus all of the verticle posts and horizontal bars. As the deck was badly stained from mold and mildew, that turned out to be a very big job. The next day his crew arrived to finish the job of applying a stain/sealer. That turned out to be another huge job. I had no idea how much would be involved, nor how much time it would take. They worked steadily and hard for several hours. When completed, the deck looks better than it did when it was new, 15 years ago. We are delighted !

The transaction was very simple and easy. I bought the Big Deal offer for $199 for 200 sq ft of deck restoration. Jason responded to me via the Rapid Connect messaging within 1 day of my purchase of the offer. He was then out to my house a couple days after that to measure the square footage of the deck. My deck was bigger than I thought, so I had an incremental charge associated with the job. After I approved the incremental charge, Jason was out two days later to do the power washing and then two days after that to stain everything. The whole job took about one week from the time of purchase to completion. While I wasn't excited about the incremental charge, it was well worth it. Jason stained the deck, a bench, the stairs, handrails and lattice. It looks like a brand new deck and with the three year warranty on the product he used, I shouldn't have to do this or have it done for quite a while. Jason and Deck Pro was a pleasure to work with and I will definitely call them again for any deck needs.

Jason came over and gave me an estimate for doing our deck. He showed up on time for the estimate, the power washing, and the staining. The deck is over twenty years old, and was just stained two years ago, but that didn't hold up very well. Now it looks great! Not only did Jason do a great job on the deck, he also took care of a few minor problems we had near the deck. One involved a slight mold issue on the stone on the house near the deck, which he hit with the power washer. The other involved a problem created when we had our driveway repaved; we have a hose that runs under the deck and when they paved the driveway, they paved over the access hole for the hose, thus "locking" the hose into place. Without even being asked, Jason very neatly carved out the opening for the hose; service "above and beyond".

Jason came out and power washed our deck and then came back a couple of days later and sealed it with a clear sealer, per our request. We had used his service previously on a larger deck and been happy with his service then. This deck is much smaller and newer and we were very pleased that he was able to adjust the price accordingly and still provide the same excellent service.

We requested an estimate prior to accepting Deck Pro to complete the work. After he and his partner arrived, I explained how I desired to add a little roof over the BBQ to help keep it and me dry when the rain moves in. They provided me with an estimate for the updated cost, which I approved and began the job. We had an octagon hole in the deck which had contained a ivy on a metal stand. We had ripped out the rusted stand and most of the plant. They completed the work, ripped out the damaged wood, placed in new trusses, and build my roof on four 4x4 posts. The wood was allowed to weather and dry for several weeks, then he returned on Monday, power washed the deck and lattice on the sides, then returned on Tuesday to apply an oil based stain to the everything, including the extra 5 sheets of spare lattice I have to complete future repairs. He also left us a spare gallon of stain for touch up if needed. Overall, we are quite pleased with the results.

We have used Deck Pro twice before and received a reminder about deck staining with an estimate earlier in the spring. [Appropriately, this business sends no unnecessary emails and just notifies us every 5 years when more staining is expected to be needed.] We have an upper and lower deck: the lower deck has challenges due to sharde/dampness and the upper due to sun-fading. Jason power-washed and re-stained the decks on time as communicated and cleaned up well. Because the upper deck was so dry and faded, the stain absorbed very well and therefore did not match the railings and lower deck. Jason returned twice (no additional charge) to restain areas that needed more stain until all areas matched to our satisfaction. Requests for him to return, evaluate and treat the issue were handled with professionalism, kindness, promptness and a smile. The service is expensive but very competitive with other providers and we have no need to look further than Deck Pro for our deck staining in the future.

I have had this provider before and was very satisfied with their work (Originally got the name from Angies List}. The worker was very prompt and personable....nice to work with. He completed the work in the time he had originally told me. See above remarks for further info.

I emailed photos of how I would like the deck to look and also asked if it was mandatory to send in the "deposit" (of almost half the entire amount) without even having service scheduled or any work started. I received a response saying that they were no longer interested in my project. Just because I asked a question? They basically acted like i was a deadbeat who would never pay, therefore they didn't want my business. Just because I asked a question! I get a little uneasy paying for service before it has even started. Very unprofessional.

Based on a solid reccomentation from close friends we decided to use Deck Pro to clean and stain our deck. I submitted a request for an estimate on their web site but no further communication took place until I returned home from running an errand to find the estimate in my mailbox. I was disappointed I was not able to visit and ask questions of Jason Glass when he was on site making the estimate. I called their office and talked to Deborah Haynes who apparently is the owner to ask some questions. She did not know the answers and had Jason call me. After that conversation we scheduled when he would make the first visit to clean the deck. I had to change the schedule to arrange for the deck to be cleaned the day after the previous arrangement. They did not seem to have any problem accomodating my request so I expected them on that Friday. They were a no show. I called their office on the following Monday and left a message but no response. I called the next day and left another message but no response. I called again on Friday the same week and left the message, that apparently they were not interested in our project and if I did not hear from them by the end of the day I was moving on to another service provider. I was not made aware of any mitigating circumstances that prevented Deck Pro from honoring the cleaning schedule nor returning my phone calls.

I sent an email and called but never received any feedback. I heard this company offers a good service, but I am hesitant to use their service because of the poor response time.
