Deck Pro

They did the job just fine. They came on the day they said they would and did what they promised they would do. They power washed the deck, and then came back a few days later to stain. The cleanup was fine and the deck looks great.

We got a good stain, good price, done well and a pleasure to work with.

Purchased an Angie's List deal. After the initial visit/estimate the price increased based on a higher surface area of the deck. If considering deck deals based on square footage, be sure to consider the surface area included in the rails, spindles, steps, posts, etc., not just the deck surface. Communication was prompt and thorough. Based on weather forecast, provider contacted to see if work could be performed a day earlier than originally scheduled, which was great by us. Process took two days with cleaning on day one and staining on day two. Offered a wide variety of colors of a good quality stain. Work was excellent.

I was unhappy with the additional charges associated with this service. They are very over-priced.

I bought the Angie's List Deal, got a quote from the provider in the fall and did not take action at the time. I contacted the provider this spring and inquired if they would still honor the deal and quote or possibly provide some sort of a discount if they would not honor the original deal since it expired. I did not hear back from the provider either way and was very disappointed with the lack of communication.

I purchased a service 5/10/14. Upon that date he said could not complete service.

Deck Pro (Jason) did a fine job. He arrived as scheduled, completed the work in a time and professional manner, and followed up as necessary. We were very happy with the job. I would use Deck Pro again.

After originally misplacing the estimate provided to me and not showing up on the scheduled date for the job, I posted my experience on Angie's list, along with a copy of the estimate provided to me. The owner apologized for the fact that they had lost the record of my estimate and offered to do the job for free to make up for the inconvenience. They showed up on the promised date and completed the job as they said they would. They were able to get grill grease stains off and did a nice job staining the deck. I appreciate the effort they made to rectify the original mistake. I understand mistakes will sometimes happen, but the most important thing to me is that the company acknowledges the mistake and takes steps to rectify it. I am very pleased with their response.

They showed up when they said they would. They did the job pretty quickly. They did it when I wasn't home, so let us check out with everybody. I was there when they came to power wash. The next day I was not with the staining but they were there when they said they would do.

Purchased a big deal for $199. To me, the job I had met all the requirements of the big deal. But Deck Pro wanted another $158 to paint the deck after I purchased the big deal. They said there was a lot of taping needed to protect the trex floor which would not be painted. This felt a bit like a bait & switch but I agreed to the add-on because I wanted the deck painted and I wasn't sure how to get credit for a big deal I already purchased. I asked it to be painted the same color or as close as possible to its current mahogany color. We had some rain delays that caused the schedule to be moved around some which I was ok with. We agreed on a Friday date and I waited at the property for him to arrive. No call, no show. Not cool, very unprofessional. When contacted he made a lame "got too busy to call" excuse. Anyway, agreed on the following Saturday. He showed up with a helper about 1:30pm, started painting, then they stopped to go buy more paint. Finished the job and left around 4:00pm Color is brown, not mahogany but it looks ok.. Paint was sprayed on not brushed, which I'm ok with, but nothing was taped off, painter used a drop cloth. That said, the quality of the paint job was good, very neatly done, no spills or drips onto the trex floor or house. We'll see how it holds up over time. He didn't leave me any extra paint so I contacted him and asked for the name of the paint he used in case I wanted to do some touch-up; he offered to drop a partial can of the leftover paint by the house. Great I thought. Well, I'm still waiting for the paint several weeks later and I'm tired of chasing after him. Don't think I'll be using deck pro again.

Business only returned one follow-up call and that was when we called from a different number and did not leave our name. I do not understand his lack of professionalism and lack of follow through. What is the purpose of a 3 year warranty when the product could not even last one week. And then the contractor will not repair as the warranty states. UPDATES 07/28/14 I recommend taking them out of the penalty box. While there had been an unresolved issue, it's resolved now, and they did good work. The work was very good and the deck looks great now. He apologized for the lack of previous response to my follow up calls and said they recently had 80% of their equipment stolen from the shot so things had been absolutely chaotic. I told him my neighbor behind me might have some fence and deck staining work that he could do, and that he should leave his card. I wish them luck in the future and appreciate that they rectified things since I have had experience with other contractors who have done poor work, but had no interest in rectifying it.

This provider was ranked highly on Angie's list. I sent an e-mail to have them come and give us an estimate. The owner responded to my inquiry about a deck replacement that "we don't do this type of work". I don't understand why you are called "Deck Pro" and don't replace decks!

Deck Pro responded promptly to our request for an estimate, visited the house, saw the deck and provided us with a detailed estimate of the proposed work. The initial purchase was a $199 Big Deal via Angie's List, and given the size of the deck, there were additional fees. Deck Pro was up front about this and provided details on their measurements and the work they would do. They were able to do the work earlier than they originally anticipated, and came and went while my husband and I were at work. We communicated via e-mail and telephone with no problems. They provided us with samples of a wide variety of stains and finishes, and we were thrilled with the end result. Our old deck looks fabulous.

Deck Pro did a terrific job. Both decks were surrounded by intensely planted gardens, and no plants were disturbed! The decks look wonderful and come with a 3 year guarentee.

I contacted Jason early in February to get on his calendar early. He was very responsive to the request, we have used his company many times in the past so he was able to get us a contract quickly and put us on for one of the first when the weather broke. They squeezed it in to good weather windows as I was also working around a painting crew and got it done quickly. The deck looks great and you never know they were there. Good work all around.

I was very, very happy with the work and would recommend him.

We had some issues with the first coat. Jason came back and did a great job at no extra cost.

Bought the $199 special, but I had them do my patio also. They were on time and did a nice job.

Everything went as planned, with the deck being power washed on 5/28 and then minor repairs were made and stain applied. The fence looked good, but the deck surface looked uneven. I called Jason and he came out the next day and reapplied stain to the deck. Everything looks good now . Jason was polite and seemed to handle things very professionally. He was very patient with my questions and any concerns I had.

Deck Pro came out and powerwashed and stained my deck and back steps. They did a good job.

I never had contact with him again

I didnt get the services completed. Our interpretations of what a desk is are different. Thus, when he came out to give me an estimate it was twice as much as expected

It looks good again and we will definitely call Deck Pro next spring to do another 3-year job on the deck:)
