Deck Pro

We thought the Angie's list "Big Deal" of $200 for power washing and staining of 200 sqft of deck would mostly cover our 15 x 15 ft (225 sqft) deck. However, he nickled and dimed every square foot of railing and post to get the square footage up to almost 500 sqft. End cost was going to be over $500. Ended up completing myself in about 6 hours. Glad I didn't pay this guy almost $85 an hour to do this work.

Deck looks very professional and clean.

They never showed up no call no show. Very unprofessional. They planned to come out on a Friday or a Monday. I called and left a message never returned my call.

Jason explained how the power washing, and the subsequent staining work would be completed. He came to our home, inspected the wood, and measured the total amount of wood deck and associated pieces. He left a written estimate with his notes for my review. I phoned and was provided a date when he would be available to complete the work. He arrived on the agreed date and completed the power washing. At that time, I was provided with a brochure which had all the available stains to choose from. I phoned Jason, told him which type of stain and color of stain I had chosen. Jason told me when he was coming to apply the stain. When the job was finished, I was provided with an invoice. Very professional work and very organized business.

Very good, had to wait about a month to get on schedule. He was very early in the a.m., cleaned the Deck and left samples so I could pick stain color. He came back within 2 days to stain the deck and railings. All together great service. I would have him do board fencing if there wasn't so much of it.

Responded to all emails in a time appropriate manner. Showed up on scheduled day for work. Work completed efficiently and effectively. Deck looks great!

These guys are great! They were thorough and efficient. The only surprise was that they showed up to do the power washing the day before they were scheduled. Which meant we had not yet removed our deck furniture. But they didn't even bat an eye...they promptly removed it all and expertly washed it down. They returned the next day and had our 12' x 21' deck (with plenty of railings) stained in no time. Thanks Deck Pro!

Deck Pro did a nice job for us. Although they weren't able to get out as soon as we would have liked (good service providers are busy!), they did keep in close contact with us through the Angie's List message system. They came out one day to power wash, and then the next day to complete the stain job. They were also very careful to match with the color of the deck. Will use them again in the future.

The service was warranted for 3 years. I had him come out when it was raining, but couldn't tell what work needed to be done as the deck was wet. He said he would contact me to set up another time. This has been three weeks. I have called him twice but he will not return my calls even though we have a year left on the warranty.

Called and spoke with Jason. Was extremely professional and said he would be out the following day to give me an estimate. No call or follow-up. I called the following week and left a VM. Still have not heard back. Would not recommend to anyone.

After reviewing, we decided to put it off at this time due to extra costs.

I am very pleased. First they power-washed the deck. Then they gave the deck several days to dry, rather than trying to stain it right away. The application of the stain was careful. All the mildew and dirt are gone. They even screwed down a board that had popped up.

I had no idea what he did. it looked fine, but of course I am not an expert. He promised that I have warranty on the deck for three years . I expected not to see mold at all. After this winter I called deck pro to tell them that I can see mold every where on the deck. Jason came and checked and left a note saying that the stain looks fine and the mold on it is not covered under the warranty. For me I don't feel satisfied at all. definitely I am not going to use deck pro again.

We received an extremely quick response via AL to set up a date for someone to come out. They were able to come out within a few days. Unfortunately, due to the fact that the previous owners painted the deck instead of staining it, Deck Pro was not able to offer a service that they could guarantee. They also made a recommendation for who to use instead. While we were unable to use their services, we really appreciate the quick response and professionalism. The fact that they will only do work they can guarantee speaks volumes.

He came out to do an estimate for us on deck restoration for a big deal we purchased. The quote he gave us was twice the cost of the deal, so we ended up not having the work done.

Service was prompt and professional. Deck was in excess of the 200 sq.ft. in the Big Deal, but I was given 50% off for the additional. Deck looks great.

My deck is a second story patio and the provider states that he could not service my patio with this deal. The provider was friendly, professional and prompt responding.

It worked out okay. They did the work when I wasn’t at home.

Never returned messages to get estimates. Horrible business practices.

I used it a few months back in the summer. I have two decks and used the coupon for one of them. For that, he stained the bottom of the deck. For the other deck of mine, he sealed the top. I never actually met or saw the gentleman, but he provided good and honest work. He did have to come and correct one thing, but he did it in a timely manner.

Fantastic. Provider was knowledgeable about decks and shared useful guidance on options. We ended up with going with his recommendation. Deck looks good three months into completion of work. I highly recommend Deck Pro.

He did not even wait -- he didn't knock at the door, he didn't show me what he had done, he didn't show me what he was going to do and he just left. I was very disappointed. The price for the way he did it was way too high. To get your deck painted, your $199 was not way out of the line, I guess, but not for a paint that began peeling before he left.

It went reasonably well. They eventually finished. The big complaint I had was that they began application on a day when the rain was expected and sure enough rain showed up which meant that as the wood got wet the finish wasn't absorbed in the wood. We had to call them and asked them if they were coming back, and they agreed they would and they did. In the end it was satisfactory but it did require a call to get them back. When they were first out they looked at it, we had added some work. We have a bridge across the creek, we had the bridge added so in the end we're happy with the job. It's just that the material was applied on the wrong day. It cannot be applied when it's raining, it floats off the wet wood and leaves it splotchy and what not. They came back and they finished the job. It was completed to our satisfaction. The deal seemed to be about right but I just don't have anything to compare it against. We did not do competitive bids. The quality was acceptable. There was no overspray. I seemed to recall that I had to call them twice. I hardly interacted with them at all. I think they were coming in the first day as I was headed out and it wasn't necessary that I'd be here so I wasn't. I'd consider using them again.
