Deck Pro

All of the surface mold is gone and the stain really brought the deck back to life! Highly recommend, very personable.

Purchased an Angies List special for deck powerwashing and sealing. Scheduling was easy and done very quickly. Powerwashing really renewed the look of the deck and both the washing and sealing were done to our satisfaction. Only issue, a very minor one, was that the powerwashing dirtied about two feet of an area outdoor rug on the adjacent patio. In hindsight, we should have rolled up the rug prior to powerwashing, but it would have been nice to have nice if Jason would have advised us to do so or if he would have taken appropriate action while doing the powerwash. Again, not a big deal.

Nice work. We were a little surprised with the fact that they did not put the furniture back on the deck after the work but we wrote back, got a prompt and professional response and willingness to help us out if needed. It would be nice if we knew this things upfront (a flyer post the job was completed, with some care instructions?).

I bought the 199 special for deck staining. They charged extra because of the size of the deck. I chose a color, and they washed and sprayed the deck. They did an okay job--left a little under a bench not covered well and the old color came through, but for the most part I don't have any complaints.

He came out and told me what he was going to do. I put a can of paint out or a paint chip, anyway, he got the wrong color. We wanted a moss green and it turned out to be not the right color. I wasn't happy about that but it was guaranteed for two years. It held up very well. I don't know what kind of paint he used except it was the wrong color. I would use him again but I would want to make sure that he got the right color. Before that I had the deck done for two years in a row and it kept coming right off. This guy guaranteed it for two years and it has lasted. I was pretty impressed with that actually. It took awhile for him to get here and he cancelled a couple of times.

It look a great deal of prodding by me and your staff to get this job completed.

My experience with them turned out okay. They were a little late because of the weather. I didn't get a bill from them at all but then they sent me a message that they were going to send my bill to a collections agency. They said they put something in my door.

I cannot comment here as the service was never performed.

It was fine. I had a little bit of trouble getting them to come out. They did a good job.

This was a big deal purchase and it turned out great. I have only used them once. They honored the $199 big deal price. They were done quick and it looks good. They did it all while I was at work. They did it when they said they would do it.

The work the company does is fine. They do not have great communication or follow up skills. When the work is being done it is fine, but when something comes up questioning their work they are no where to be found.

Work was done in a timely and professional manner.

Booked with Angies to have him re stain my deck while I was on vacation. I was getting my house ready to put on the market. When I came back from vacation, nothing was done. I contacted the deck pro to find out what happened, and was told he left a note to explain that the deck was painted instead of stained, and he couldn't do paint. He would arrange with angies list to refund. Well, the deck was stained with Behr deck stain from Home Depot, still had the empty can. He did not tell Angies to refund, I had to work it out with Angies, and it was a hassle because it was past the time period where Angies can easily reverse the charge. It was eventually refunded, but it was a huge pain, and the deck "pro" should know the difference between paint and stain.

I love what Jason did to our deck. We had let our deck go unstained for several years and it showed.

My husband scheduled an appt. to assess and give an estimate on restoring our deck. He showed up for the appt. and never got back with us to give the estimate after multiple emails/phone calls. Ending up using another company.

They were very responsive and professional

I purchased a Big Deal from the provider. Everything went very well. The communication from the provider was excellent and the work itself was very well done. My deck looks 100+% better!

initially deck looked really good but the stain along the raw side of the deck began to flake off. I would have contacted Deck pro to fix but my grandson got white primer on my deck so I had him stain over his spots and the places where the stain had flaked off. Now I have "oily" spots but they are not really the direct fault of Deck Pro

They took our grill and deck table off the deck (difficult for us to do), but never talked to us about replacing them after the job was done. I understand it needed to dry after they were finished painting, but as they had taken those things off the deck, I would have expected them to check with us about getting them back on the deck.

We had purchased an Angie's List Deal for $200 for 200 square feet of Power Wash and Stain. We thought our deck wasn't much over the 200 square feet. But when the company came out to inspect our deck, the price ended up being a total of $500. So we weren't sure we wanted to pay that much extra. But we decided to go ahead and have it done. They came when they said they would. We had to delay the stain for a couple of days because of rain. But they let me know about the delay and came again when they said they would. They did a great job and we're very pleased with how our deck looks. It turned out great!

Service technicians came by and gave us an estimate soon after purchasing the coupon from Angie's List. There were some repairs that needed to be done as well, so the cost was a little higher to account for that, which was fine (I expected it anyway.) Unfortunately, there were a lot of delays. I understand that the weather was rough for any exterior painting/staining work early this summer, I just wish I had gotten more notice from the service provider. Well, not MORE notice, more punctual notice because I had taken time off to be present during the service (as well as get some other stuff done at the same time) but the last delay was too close to the service date for me to change my time off. All in all, the service was good! The color change went well and I don't see any of the old brick red peaking through. They filled in some holes (small like from old nails/screws) that were bothering me as well. If we decide, later, to have the "stairs" (there's ONE step...hard to call them "stairs") fixed so they feel more natural in the future, we'll definitely give them a call!

They requested more because of the size of the deck. I guess I'm pleased at this point. I used them two years ago and not through Angie's List. They're okay. They were a little bit later than they said they would be. They were a little slow.
