+ -1 moreThe technician was very professional and knowledgeable. However, I am suspicious of what his motives were. He found a problem with one furnace and wrote an estimate of $3K to repair it. He tried to scare me by overstating the carbon monoxide hazard resulting from this defect, which did not fool me because I am a chemist with a large amount of expertise in carbon monoxide safety, and I own top-of-the line CO detectors which have never registered even 1 ppm. This treatment insulted my intelligence and made me mistrust this company. However, he did give me valuable information about the cause of the problem, which will allow me to prevent it from recurring and improve the efficiency of my system. In addition, the technician did not inform me that the part was actually under warranty, and the labor was covered by my home warranty, so I ended up getting the problem fixed by another company for $100 out of my pocket (my home warranty had to pay only $500), and the technician from that company didn't ham it up to try to scare me into coughing up beaucoup bucks.

+ -1 moreWe had two quotes on the heating system and they were the cheaper of the two. They did a very good job with the installation. There was a problem with the furnace, and we woke up last January when it was 15 degrees below and the house was 60 degrees, the electric heat had failed. It wasn't their fault, but they had somebody out right away to get it fixed. So far we have been very pleased with what they have done.

+ 0 moreThe entire process went very well. Rick White was great to work with from the very beginning. He explained the options, how the system would work, compared it to a traditional gas F/A furnace quote, and was very clear in his explanations. We were without heat as the furnace in our recently purchased home had quit. They were very quick to get a unit installed so we had heat and then the ground loop was installed about 4 weeks later as it could be scheduled. We would not have gone geo-thermal except for the new Vertizontal boring technique Williams uses. This puts in the ground loop without completly tearing up your yard. Jon did an outstanding job on the installation of the indoor unit, relocating a water heater to make for a better setup. All the plumbing and electrical are very neat and professional. Joey was great at installing the ground loop. He explained everything he was doing and minimized the yard damage. Danny and Matt were very quick getting the duct work cleaned. There have been a couple of adjustments needed and Williams has been extremely fast at making sure these were addressed. All in all a very pleasent and successful experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a geo-thermal unit or other heating/cooling needs.
Description of Work: Removed old gas F/A furnace and central air unit and replaced with new 5 ton WaterFurnace geo-thermal heat pump unit including de-super heater and humidifier. Installed Vertizontal Loop in the ground and performed a whole house duct cleaning.

+ -1 moreI had the heat pump installed on November 3rd, and then it broke down on November 28th. The first time they came out was November 30th. They came out about nine times until December 22nd before it appeared to be working. They only got it working by replacing three sensors and a defrost board. I was very upset that a new piece of equipment, a furnace, broke down after three weeks. It was a Trane heat pump. The people at Williams were very nice and kept trying to help me. I thought since it broke down so quickly they would give me some type of compensation, like extended warranty or $100 frustration guarantee, but to date, they have not done either of those things. This leaves me with a negative feeling about the company.

So I called Williams Comfort Air for cleaning. They came right out and cleaned it out. They showed up on time. I would use them again in future.

I stood over his shoulder and watched what he did and he did not have any problems with that. He explained to me pretty much what I already knew. + -1 moreThe service man, Jeremy, came. He put the shoe covers over his shoes, which I appreciated because it was rainy. First, he put the scope with the camera on the end in the heat exchangers. He immediately asked if we had a carbon monoxide detector. He let me look over his shoulder so I could see what he was looking at. I could see he was being honest about what he saw. He also showed my husband once he got home. I asked when the furnace was installed and he knew immediately by the tag on there and he showed me how to read it. He explained it was in bad enough shape that in the old days they would have turned it off. He recommended that we replace the furnace. He was very patient and answered all our questions.

+ -1 moreAbout 4 years ago they replaced the furnace and air conditioner. The company was sold to another person but they retained the old name. The cleaning and check up costs $79. If they replace the furnace filter, it costs another $30. The humidifier pad costs $25. They replaced the furnace filter so the whole cost was $110. Since they installed the furnace, they are giving good service. The technicians they send out are knowledgeable, polite, friendly and nice. They put booties on their shoes when they come in. They don?t leave a mess. They don?t try to sell me things that we don?t need. The unit is pretty new and there is not much for them to do. Nothing has broken that needs to be repaired. They only have to check and clean it. I am satisfied with the price and the service so far. They are punctual. They come when they say they will come. They do what they say they will do. The staff I speak to over the phone is really friendly.

Since my furnace was still working, the competitor gave me a 20% non-emergency discount, which made the difference between the quotations. If Williams Comfort Air had given me a more-competitive quotation, I would have selected them.

I called them in the morning and they responded in the afternoon itself. The price that they charged was fairly reasonable and I had coupons too. I didn?t know as to how that kind of work would cost me and I hadn?t paid for such kind of work before. It seemed to be a lot cheaper when compared to other companies. The technician did the job and was courteous. He was in and out. The quality of their work has been good, as the AC is working fine.
