Williams Comfort Air

Williams Comfort Air had a nice special offer that we able to purchase. They contacted us to schedule the appointment within 24 hours, and the technician showed up on time & completed the job in the expected amount of time. He explained what he was doing, and also noted a few items of concern that we should keep an eye on throughout the summer months. An annual service plan was offered to us, but we declined at that time. He also suggested the types of air filters that we should use, and where to get them for the best price.

My Condo suffered a fire in July 2012 and was in the process of being renovated and restored. I figured while the contractors were removing drywall and installing new duct work, this would be a good time to get estimates on replacing my furnace. It was the original furnace from 1975 when the Condo was built....still working great and costing little but really ugly in appearance and I wasn't sure how much longer it would last. I did my research on Angie's List and called Williams Comfort Air for an estimate. It was a week wait for the appointment. Mike Freeh showed up an what a disappointment. He asked a few questions as I showed him the furnace and discussed the installation of both a new furnace and air conditioner. He never wrote anything down at all, he took a quick measurement of the room span, and quoted a quick figure of around 4000.00 dollars. I said can you write up an estimate for me please...he said I will send you something by e-mail and walked out the door. He seemed in a hurry when he arrived and really seemed like he had other matters more important. He arrived about 30 minutes late at 11:30 a.m. maybe it was his lunch time? I never received anything by e-mail nor heard from the company. Getting the estimate was time sensitive because the Condo was already in the process of being renovated. I would not use them again.

We had two four ton geothermal units and two new high efficiency furnaces installed. The process was great from start to finish. The sales rep (Tom Panyard) was professional and in touch through the entire process. The boring process took a little longer than expected (and was a little messy in the yard). But, all the crews were polite and knowledgeable and cleaned up after themselves daily.

purchased a big deal from this company for a tune up on a new system that they had installed a year earlier. It was fine but the technician wanted me to sign up for a yearly contract and I was selling my house and didnt see the point in paying them for a service I wouldnt need.

The technician raised my a/c hight and flushed and cleaned it completly. His feet got totally wet in the mud and he performed perfect work. I would highly recommend Williams Comfort Air.

I purchased the Big Deal, and could not be happier. I purchased the deal, and within a day, Williams Comfort Air responded on email, and I set up a date for a technician to come out and give our furnace a tune up. The only problem I had, I purchased the deal, the day it came out, and even then, It took about a month and two days to get set on their schedule. For being such a large company, I would think they would have been able to schedule the tune up quicker. However, today Danny arrived on time for the appointment. He introduced himself, very professional looking and had a name tag-all very professional. He wore shoe protectors throughout the home, which was much appreciated. He was very thorough in the detail paid to the furnace. He took the amount of time that should be spent in servicing a furnace, making sure all parts of working correctly. After he was done with the service part of the furnace, we sat down and talked about options for the furnace. We talked about service plans, going out to 8 years. We also talked about adding additional parts to the furnace, such as an air filter and a humidifier. He also noticed a part in the furnace that should be replaced, but we held off for the time being. Danny was great, from arriving on time, being very thorough in the tune up of the furnace, and going over the many options available through their company.

Used a discount voucher for AC tuneup in August this year and was quite pleased with the service and professionalism of technician. I inquired about a possible annual maintenance plan (had such a plan with another provider prior year but was less than happy with overall service) and the technician explained how their plan worked. I signed up on the spot for fall furnace and next spring AC service for $179.00. The actual cost per visit is about $90. The maintenance agreement provides for jump ahead service call also which is a plus if weather is straining systems in the region and repair is quickly needed. Called peace of mind.

Even though their estimate was more expensive, after reading consumer reports I found their products were higher quality. Also their technicians were excellent and worked within my schedule. The warranty they offer is outstanding. If you plan on keeping your home and/or care about quality then I would highly recommend them.

Able to schedule appointment quickly, prompt arrival, thorough evaluation and cleaning, informative and educational information, and no hard-sell to get more business or money.

OMG!! This service was INCREDIBLE. The technician, Brian, was a complete gentleman and professional. He introduced himself and explained every thing he did as he worked on my furnace. I had the wrong size filter in the furnace and when I went to purchase another one he put it in for me. I purchased a "PROFESSIONAL GRADE" Carbon Monoxide Detector and also purchase the CAIRfree Heating and Cooling Maintenance Agreement. He explained both of the items and I did NOT feel any pressure to purchase them. It was a very good price and I felt it was worth the "peace of mind" to have these items for my home. I would recommend Williams Comfort Air, and the technician, Brian for all of your heating and cooling needs. It was very refreshing to see that PROFESSIONAL AND HONEST SERVICE is BACK. Other than the propane line being blocked (apparently by dead lady bugs or wasps, not sure) it went well. Everyone from Williams was professional, pleasant and were more than willing to work with our time limitations.

It was a great experience. They helped us choose the most affordable option for us and provided a payment plan option. All of the work was complete within 48 hours of their first visit.

All accepted work was done according to estimate and at a reasonable cost. The insulation was not accepted because of cost. Williams work completed was excellent. Yes, we would have them work for us again.

Although the technician arrived reasonably quickly and was courteous, the price of $888 to replace a gas valve was excessive and in the end unnecessary as this was not the actual problem. The actual issue was a loose connection that I fixed myself for $0.00 and 20 minutes time. Several points: 1) The technician did not do a thorough diagnosis. Although he checked gas valve voltage at the control board, he apparently did not check it at the actual valve. If he had done this he would have realized it was simply a loose connection and fixed it right then. Instead, we had no heat for nearly two days until I returned home. 2) The technician provided "concerning" news regarding a "discolored" control board that was near failure. I checked it out and the discoloration was from extra varnish during manufacturing. It had been that way since new and presented no risk of falure. 3) As expected, the technician recommended complete replacement of the unit (do they ever not do this?) due to age and condition. We have not had many problems with this unit and it has been reliable. This would be similar to having to buy a brand new car simply because your current one has a few miles and needs a new muffler. 4) The price of the gas valve was exhorbitant ($695 + $99 "acquisition fee"). I priced the valve myself and could have had the valve the next day for slightly over $200. The 3X price hike is ridiculous and the $99 "acquisition fee" is simply Williams taking advantage of the situation. I understand Williams adding some profit to the part, but nearly $800 for a $200 valve is simply robbery. Summary: Poor diagnosis, insanely expensive quote, and the usual suggestion to completely replace, leave us with a poor view of Williams Comfort Air. Had the technician correctly found the issue and fixed it right then, we would have been very pleased and would have likely used them when the time came to replace. Although we understand that we will want to replace this unit in the not-too-distant future, we will not be choosing Williams.

Used Angie's List coupon for furnace tune-up. Chris was able to fit my appt. into his morning schedule instead of the afternoon as we'd planned, so it was nice to have the rest of my day free to get other things done. Chris was very thorough and explained everything he was doing and the results of what he did. He's very nice and definitely shows a conscientiousness about his work.

It turned out great. They very prompt and did a good job. They were professional in every way, I was very pleased with their service.

They are very good and nice. I would highly recommend them.

Service call went well. WCA had advised us a year ago that igniter would need to be replaced in a year or 2. During this year's furnace inspection, service tech showed us reading on igniter, gave us option to replace or to wait awhile. We opted to replace. Work was thorough and professional. Service tech was cordial. We have used WCA for furnace and A/C installation and inspection since at least 1997, and have been very happy with their service. Haven't used any other firm since we started having them do our inspections and installations.

Right in the middle of the 'drought', with temps in the 90s+, they were out in less than 24 hours to give us our options and less than 48 hours later, had our new system up and running! They were great to work with and followed up just last week to make sure all was well and make sure we knew how to use the new system. GREAT PEOPLE!

We live on 3 acres and have a very long front yard. Living in the country we pay an exorbitant amount for propane fuel and decided that it was a time to go green and hopfully save on our heating and colling costs (time will tell). The deciding factor on comparing two estimates was that Wm Air has a machine that bore holes to properly install the required loops. For nearly the same price the other company had planned on digging a very long trench down the front of our yard which would have been very intrusive and distructive to our landscape. Wm Air also provides a 15 year warranty. They seem more knowledgeable on the geo system and have a lot of installation experience. The geo system will provide a 30% Federal tax credit and a $1000 rebate from Rush/Shelby Energy. We were pleased with everyone that was involved with the installation. All of our many questions were answered and the installation took less than a week. We feel over time the system will pay for it self and we are no longer a slave to the continued high cost of propane.

Good service call. It was also good to see Matt, on a TV news report, volunteering to help needy citizens prepare for winter.

The salesman and the techs were all top notch. I have no complaints.

Overall the services was good. We were happy.

Williams Comfort is a very professional company. They arrived when they said they would. They did the jobs right the first time. They were courteous and friendly.

The technician was right on time. He was very professional in his communication and demeanor. He agreed with one of the items that had been recommended to replace but found that I did not need the second, most expensive one. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing furnace repair.
