They were suppose to be here 4/14, at 8 pm I called them and asked if they were still coming and they said yes. I told them no, I was going to bed. They finally came the 4/15, said they would be out at 4:30, I told them no this morning. They finally show up an hour late. Started telling me that things could cost more. They didn't bring the camera to look at the clog. Won't be back until Monday. They were clean and neat. I have company coming for Easter.
Description of Work: I bought a $93 special to unplug a drain.

Every thing went great all appointments were kept on time. Installers called before arriving, wore shoe covers and cleaned up their mess. Everybody was very friendly and polite. Great job!

Williams Comfort Air installed a humidifier when installing our new furnace 4 years ago. In the fall of 2011, the self piercing saddle valve they had installed to feed the humidifier failed. This caused a leak that soaked our carpeting in the adjacent room. WCA would not pay for the damage (around $800) but they did, reluctantly, replace the self piercing saddle valve with another. Late last fall (2013) I noticed small drip but was not alarmed. When the line started leaking steadly, I called Williams for help. They stated on three different occasions, for three consecutive weeks that the person who handles "quality assurance", customer loyalty, etc., would contact me. She never did. Then the aforementioned humidifier line started leaking from the self-piercing saddle valve. I called again and spoke to a CSR who said ?let?s send out a repairman? and I said, finally, someone who did something and didn?t just pass the buck. On April 7th, The repairman came out. He looked at the, now pouring water line, he stated couldn?t fix it without talking to his manager. His manager wasn?t available but would call me right back. He also said he didn?t know why the CSR sent him out to start with. With the valve is leaking and spraying water all over he utility room and he just leaves. Needless to say, the manager manager didn?t call back. I called for him - no call back. I then called and asked for his boss. The CSR said she would have him call me. He did not. Next, I called for the owner of WCA/MP, Mr. Joe Huck. They said they would send him an email and have him call me. He did not. My WCA/MP sump pump still isn?t operable and the water continues to spry and leak in my utility room. To date, it is been 30 days since the Williams Comfort Air repairman was here. No response from Williams Comfort Air what-so-ever. UPDATE - May 12th: I have not heard from the "Plumbing Manager" OR Customer Loyalty. I called B&W Heating and Plumbing, they are coming out today to fix this problem!

Update: The service provider, Roger, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He offered us his business card in case we had any problems with the installation of the new thermostat we decided to do on our own. I appreciated his professionalism and helpfulness, and am very glad we opted into the service agreement during our first appointment with Williams. 1st appointment: He was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, and explained what he did and the status of the units very clearly. I ended up taking him up on the two year service plan, as it was a great deal, and I trusted the company enough to know we'd be calling them for our next tune-up. We used an Angie's List deal for this visit.
Description of Work: Update: Our A/C shut off in July, and we were able to get an appointment within a few days. The service professional assessed the A/C quickly and realized our thermostat was dead. Our A/C system is quite old, so he offered advice on the most cost efficient replacement since the odds are good we'll need an entirely new system in the coming years. 1st appointment: The service provider did a full tune-up of our HVAC system. He checked our indoor and outdoor units, and cleaned the outdoor AC unit with a chemical wash.

I thought I was having a tune up on my A/C. The tech ended up "finding" numerous problems with my furnace, which were supposedly significant enough to warrant the installation of a new furnace. Thankfully I solicited estimates from other HVAC companies, and lo and behold, my furnace is FINE. The inside of my furnace, as shown by another company via a small camera, looked nothing like the camera images I was shown by the Comfort Air tech. The images from the CA tech lead me to believe I had a furnace caked in debris and rust. I now believe I wasn't even viewing images from MY furnace, but another damaged unit (scare tactic). However, another company detected carbon monoxide and its' source (clogged vent from furnace to roof due to numerous bird nests). That issue was promptly resolved. It took some work, but I was able to locate an honest company with honest employees.

They did a good job. The quality of their work was great. They were very professional. They cleaned up their mess. They gave us an estimate on it, stuck to it, and didn’t go above what they quoted us as a price. They were very quick and efficient. It went great and we haven’t had any problems.

I renovated an older home in Carmel and Williams Comfort air replaced my old furnace and A/C with a new Carrier system. Guys did it in a day and did a great job. Tom Panyard was my rep and was professional throughout. I had a couple of issues with placement of the homes duct work and Williams addressed the issues for me flawlessly. I also had an inspection issue come up with the A/C cutoff and Called Williams and they were out the next morning to correct it. Great service and a great system. I highly recommend these guys. Appreciate the attention to the details Tom. Very satisfied.

They arrived at the scheduled time and tuned up my furnace. They recommended that I have several other services performed and gave me estimates for those services. I opted to only get the $44 tune-up and they accepted that without any additional pressure.

He also provided some previously unknown information regarding the Humidifier filter. I was, according to him, not using the correct filter. My previous provider had not told me this so I was rather surprised. Unfortunately, he discovered a "problem" with the furnace. He provided an estimate for the repair work which would be around $1,000; I told him I wanted to delay the work for the present since there was no danger involved. Since this was my first experience with this provider, I would like to think that the "problem" was present; however, I plan to get another provider to examine my furnace and provide a repair estimate if the "problem" does exist. I did purchase a one-year service contract.
Description of Work: Provider performed the furnace inspection. He inspected the attached Humidifier and replaced the filter.

Cleaning was performed as scheduled and I am happy with the work. However, service man also found a number of problems with my 12 year old furnace totalling well over $1,000.00. I decided to get second opinions before having any work done (or replacing the furnace). I was not able to find any other companies that agreed with Williams Comfort though. The one motor that they did agree had a problem, was about $200 less to replace (using factory new) than what Williams Comfort had quoted me. I have a high efficiency furnace and it uses a plastic pipe to exhaust the fumes. Part of that pipe needed to be replaced as well because moisture was leaking around a seam. This type of minor repair can be easily done by the homeowner and requires about $20 worth of materials over at Menards. I planned to do that work myself and explained it to the service man. He went ahead and worked up a price in case I wanted him to do it for me instead. While I appreciate that he did that, I was shocked that his price was over $600. Because of the pricing comparisons, I will not be using Williams Comfort again.

It went really well. They scheduled me in in a reasonable time frame so I didn’t have to wait long for them to come out. They were professional and the employees were courteous. I have hired them before and I feel their regular rates are a bit high, but I would hire them again for a discount. They tried to sell me a maintenance plan and I would have considered it, but it was too expensive. No complaints about their service and I’m thankful for the discount I got. For the right price, I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I called Williams Comfort Air on March 14th and asked to speak to the owner. Whomever I spoke to stated that she didn't have a phone and I couldn't call her direct. They told me that I would receive a call from her within 24-48 hours. I have yet to receive that call. The tech that came to my home did a wonderful job and very professional. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who needs a water heater replaced.
Description of Work: They put a new 50 gallon water heater. And I signed up for an 11 year maintenance package (which was $692) and a 1 year warranty. That leaves $2163 that I paid for a water heater.

Once the service tech showed up things went fine. Had very many problems scheduling a time. First appointment no one showed and no phone call. Second appointment waited 2 hours before receiving a phone call that the service person was "running late". Third appointment finally worked but required several phone calls to confirm. The appointment service utilized by Williams is TERRIBLE.

My current furnace was installed in 2008. Early last week the furnace tripped an error code that seemed to go away after I changed the filter. As a precaution, I purchased the $44 Angies List Special for Williams Comfort Air (WCA) to come to my house. Evan, the WCA tech came out on Thursday Feb 27th. He was on time and looked professional. At the end of the tune up, he said the blower amps were running high and the capacitor blower low. He recommended replacement. He said the Evaporator coil was dirty, and needed cleaning. He reported that the temperature rise was high and made adjustments to the gas pressure. He reported the air flow was weak and he reported that he cleaned/flushed the trap drain. He made recommendation and provided estimates for additional services to Chemically clean the Evaporator coil for $254, to remove and clean the blower wheel/housing for $382, to replace the start capacity for blower for $235 or if I purchased the 1 yr service agreement of $189, all of the recommendations would be about 15% cheaper. I turned down all additional services. It was a big bill from the $44 tune up. As a result of this inspection, I scheduled another tune with a different vendor to get a second opinion. The second vendor did recognize the dirty evaporator coil and cleaned it during the tune up for an additional $99 (Saving me over $150) The competitor did not make a recommendation to clean blower housing and start capacitor. When I asked how it looked, the competitor said that he did not inspect it because the blower amps level were running fine, so in all fairness the blower may still be dirty, but today's competitor didn't see that as a cause for alarm. What concerned me is that today, the competitor took off the trap drain and it was completely clogged after WCA said it was cleaned and drained. I don't see how it could be completely clogged if WCA has just cleaned it out 4 days ago. I was there when the competitor was cleaning the drain/trap in the sink. He showed me the stuff that came out of it. This seriously made me question whether or not the trap/drain was really cleaned as reported on the WCA inspection. Additional services I got today that was not caught by the WCA tech was the replacing of two clamps, one in which the competitor said he may have broke, and today the competitor also replaced and fixed a condensation pipe on the side of my unit. I am rating this on the WCA turn up service. I scheduled as second opinion because my furnace is working fine and did not feel that $1000 in repairs as recommended by WCA was needed. I got my $44 worth, basically paying for 1hr of work, but I am glad I got a second opinion and although I paid for two inspections, to me it was well worth it.
