Thiele Heating & Air Conditioning

The service man told me that my heat pump was not working at all and that I needed to replace a very expensive part or purchase a new system. I opted to get a 2nd opinion before taking any action. The facts were not as represented, and I do not need a new heat pump. The service man who provided the 2nd opinion told me that he had never seen this kind of behavior from Thiele before. He said that he did not believe the company encouraged or tolerated such things. Based on their typical Angie's list reviews, I am sure that is true. I did speak with Thiele's owner, and he sounded genuinely surprised by my story. He did not doubt the facts, but he was shocked. We had a very thoughtful conversation, and he reimbursed me for the service charge as well as some additional expense that I had from not using my heat pump. Basically, it was a reasonable service recovery, and I believe my uniquely bad experience should not automatically destroy anyone else's trust in this company. My "B" rating in professionalism is reflective of the owner's behavior not the service provided by his employee. Any company can have a bad apple employee, and I am sure they will do something about it.

It went great and they did a wonderful job. They didn't try to sell us a new system and they were very honest.

Their inspection was a great assistance in the home inspection process.

Called late Friday. Tech came & indicated what he'd have to charge to dig around to find out what was wrong. Said he fixed a couple of things. Seemed to work & he left. The next morning, the problem continued. He returned, charged nothing extra, and said the heat exchanger was cracked, the furnace was dangerous, we needed a new one. He left. Another person followed up a few days later to find out what we wanted to do. The only reason I called Thiele was because the guy we normally, Rose, use wasn't available. We called him for a second opinion. The heat exchanger did need replacement, but it was still under warranty - something that Thiele hadn't considered checking out. They were going to sell us a new furnace when we didn't need one. The repair Rose did costs just a little more than Thiele's non-repair that almost cost us a LOT more, had I taken their advice. Furthermore, Rose fixed it whereas the other guy didn't seem to be able to fix it or know how to.

They were prompt and clean. It was very easy and I was comfortable with them. I called them at 2:30p and they were at my house by 3:30p. Pat is the tech who came out. He explained everything in detail including what he had completed and what I would need to do. In the end, he wrote a thorough receipt with all the info I needed.

We looked them up through Angie's List. He did a good job. He was really professional. He addressed the problem and ended up tuning it up. It was fine and it was a really good service. They were professional and on time. They were thorough.

Technician evaluated the overall system. Made some programming changes that were not correctly set when system was originally install several years ago. Adjusted the fan speed that also may not have been set correctly on installation. Made some additional recommendation. I had thought the humidifier was not working correctly, and had planned to replace it. The technician found that was not mechanical problem. I eventually found that there was block in the water line and was able to get the humidifier working again. The technician recommend a discounted spring time check on the AC unit. I purchased this as well. I not only save on these two checkup, but I save on the cost of a replacement humidifier and installation.

It was good. They did a nice job and did everything they said they would do. I'm happy with the service.

The service went well. They had the best pricing out of all the other companies we looked into. They were very well informed and did a great job. They did the best inspection out of the other companies we had over. Two technicians came out for the installation and completed the job in about 6 hours. They were knowledgeable and had all the right tools. I had no problem scheduling the service and they showed up as scheduled. We have contracted with them to maintain the system as well.

The quote was excellent. I haven't moved forward with the work but they were the best quote I received.

We have had this particular service person previously. He is very thorough and knowledgeable and helped us resolve a high frequency sound emitting from our system which was completely annoying. Very happy with our results! Thanks Thiele.

We obtained quotes from 4 heating/cooling companies. From the start, Thiele impressed us. Jason with Thiele was thorough and professional in his estimate process. He examined our old system and made recommendations that met our needs. Our installers were prompt, professional and helpful and took the time to explain things along the way. They cleaned up and hauled all the old stuff away. Thank you Thiele for a great job!

The salesman, Boone Coy, was very professional and knowledgeable about the work that I wanted. H recommended a larger capacity AC unit (which I knew that I needed based on the performance of the current unit). I shopped around but no one else matched his professionalism. I still was going to purchase a cheaper unit (both price and quality), but he matched the price. The technicians were also very professional and friendly. They explained the install and operation to me. I was pleased with their work.

We purchased our home in the Spring and wanted to have the air conditioning unit and system checked out. They did a thorough job and found that it was low on freon but overall everything was fine. They were very professional and courteous. Since the previous owner had the unit installed by Thiele we felt we would keep with them. Their professionalism, expertise and honesty has assured that they will have our future business. Great company and people to deal with. Highly recommend them!!!

Unfortunately, Thiele missed our first scheduled appointment and I had to reschedule. Since this was not an emergency, I understand that with the early hot weather, they needed to service those issues first. However, they did neglect to call that day so must have been very overwhelmed. However, on the reschedule, we received friendly and professional service. Although this person was not our regular servicer, he was as professional. I think Thiele is good to their service people and this attracts quality workers. Our son also had his air conditioner serviced that same day. Another company had put his system in and the Thiele service professional was able to give positive feedback on the system with just a little tweak to get it to run more efficiently.

I was told the first day 7/16, that an estimator would call me. 24 hours later I had no call and called back and was told they were all busy, given no timetable and hung up on. I subsequently sent them an email about this. They have a strong reputation and based on Angies List research I decided to call them but after this treatment would never use them.

When I first called them they said it might be a couple of days. When I talked with the lady that answered and explained that I had asthma and couldn't cope with the heat, she told me she would try to get it moved up. Oh my I got a call about 2:00 p.m. saying they were on the way. Then on top of everything the repair was covered under warranty. He had to replace the blower on my furnace and he went and got the part and came back within the hour. Everyone was so nice. The guy that came out was very very nice. It was great- Thiele has been great from the beginning. We had to replace our AC a few years back and then later when our furnace was replaced. They have always been great to deal with. We would highly recommend them.

Service was efficient. Technician was pleasant and helpful. He showed me how to replace the filter on the humidifier myself, so I can do this in the future, as these sometimes need to be replaced more than one time per year.

It went great...was on time with a 2 hr window..no waiting all day long. Great, will definately use again!

II was very happy with Pat, the technician. He was very knowledgeable and I did not feel like he was doing work that wasn't needed. I was a little shocked that a thermostat cost $182 and that was with a 20% discount. Other than the cost (all at a 20% discount), I know the work done was done well.

Beginning with our discussion with Boone Coy on March 20th, we were very impressed and satisfied with what Thiele Heating and Air Conditioning had to offer. Boone presented us with all the information we needed in our quest for a new HVAC system for our home. He also offered various discounts which resulted in a very attractive estimate. On the day of installation, the crew arrived right on schedule and began the lengthy task of removing the old equipment. We were most impressed with their friendliness and professionalism; and, while it was an all-day job, they did their work with minimal interference with our daily routine. Upon completion, they gave me a thorough briefing on what they had installed and all I needed to know regarding its operation. Since then, we have been quite pleased with the operation of our new furnace, humidifier and thermostat, and, while we have not yet needed to put the air-conditioning unit to use, we are confident that we will be equally pleased with its performance.
