Thiele Heating & Air Conditioning

I contacted 7 different companies for an emergency furnace repair on the Sunday after Christmas. I was told I would receive a return call as soon as possible. Only two responded, and this company did not. No call ever came, not Sunday night or the following business day. I went elsewhere. UPDATE: Mr. Traub is incorrect, and I wouldn't bother to respond except that he is basically saying I am untruthful, which I do not appreciate. From his response: "As I suspected, no call was recorded from anyone matching the name." My cell phone keeps a register of all calls made, and at 6:28 p.m. on December 26, I certainly did call and connect to local number 639-1111. I left a message about my general problem and no call was ever returned. Whether someone accurately relayed my information from that point or spelled my name accurately, I have no idea, of course. But from a public relations standpoint, a simple, "I am sorry. I do not know why you did not get a response but please contact us in the future because we would like to have your business" would have been far better than an accusatory, "As I suspected, no call was recorded from anyone matching the name." Unimpressed. Based on this company response, a better result was achieved by going elsewhere.

The technician was professional, friendly and performed exactly what I asked him to do. I was particularly appreciative that there was no "hard-sell" whatsoever of additional services. He even mentioned that I could save money changing the filters myself (which I chose not to do). I like the fact that the company is locally owned and will definitely use them again.

Out of 5 estimates we decided to go with Thiele. Boone performed the best pre-inspection (to determine size of unit needed). Installers were competent and made sure installation was done right. Thiele had best combination of price and warranty.

The guys came out the day after the estimate, explained what they were going to do, and were at the house all day. The replaced the entire furnace and air conditioning system. They did a very nice job and we have already recommended them to a family member.

It went smoother than I expected and the work was done without a hitch.

After speaking to two other companies my wife and I called Thiele for the third quote. Jason came to our home and inmediatly greated us with a smile and before he came in to our home he put on shoe covers, I thought that was impressive. During our meeting Jason spoke of two specific subjects that the two other companies did not even mention during their sales pitch, these two subjects made my decission for me. My wife and I thought that Jason represented a quality product and the team behind the product very well. We called Jason the next day and we moved forward with Thiele. Installation: We were told to expect the installation tech between 8:30am and 9:00am, but he showed up at 8:00am which was fine with us, the earlier the better. Our technician, Rodny, did a great job of being polite and contious of our home. There was a question regarding the installation of the exhaust vents, but Rodny was willing to change what was done to our satisfaction. Rodny was finished around 5:00pm. The work area was cleaned and Rodny explained the new systems operation from the filter change to the thermostat. It is nice to know that there are still companies that take the customer into consideration first and follow through with what has been agreed upon. We will use Thiele for the maintance of the unit. Everything went well and we are very happy. We got 3 bids . They were the least price and offered a few more suggestions on the ducting

The Thiele technician arrived on time and was very professional. He completed a Spring tune up for the heat pump system they installed last August. The technician was extremely thorough and conducted a complete check of the cooling system. Every experience I have had with Thiele has been outstanding, from the system purchase, system instillation, to system servicing. Good people to do business with!

Everything you read in my statement is truthful and will be backed up with a polygraph exam at my own expense. On or around November 20, 2008, I entered into a contract with Thiele Heating and Air Conditioning. Pursuant to that contract Thiele was to install a CGI-6 boiler for our homes heating system. Initially, Thiele delivered and installed a smaller cheaper model. After I discovered the wrong boiler was installed, they agreed to order the correct boiler. They installed the correct boiler about two weeks later. Shortly after installation I began having problems with the boiler as it was failing to heat my home. I contacted Thiele regarding the problem and they did come out to inspect and repair the system. However the same problem kept reoccurring. Thiele was contacted numerous times regarding the same problem and did attempt to repair the problem on numerous occasions. However, the problem persisted. Thiele suggested that there was a leak in the system, but they were unable to locate it. I hired another company to search for a leak and they were also unable to find it. Because Thiele wanted to start charging me for service calls for a boiler that did not work we sought legal advice. Thereafter, I obtained estimates from other contractors. Each stated that the boiler was not to code and was not installed properly. I contacted the city to inspect the boiler. They cited Thiele for not taking out a permit and for numerous code violations. In November, 2009, I hired another contractor to rectify the code violations and installation problems. On November 12, 2009, the repaired boiler was started and has run perfectly ever since.

Working with Thiele was a joy from start to finish. We were in a bit of a hurry so Jason, the Service Manager, did our estimate and explained all the options. He was very professional and knowledgeable of his product. They were competitively priced and the only installers that included 10 year labor in their base price. That made the sale! We called the following work day to confirm and item or two and set the date for installation. The installers, Steve and John, arrived at the given time and looked over the project and began working. First thing was to spread runners throughout the work area. I checked in with them every half-hour or so and they were always polite, professional and cheerful.. They wrapped up everything by going over each item installed, pointing out items that I needed to know and explaining the new electronic thermostat controls. Whenever they had to come through any part of the house without runners, they dawned booties to keep carpets clean. Our furnace area was cleaner after they left that when they arrived. During the initial sale, Jason emphasized that the owner of Thiele was very involved in the overall operation and that he was insistent that quality service is their highest priority. After this experience, he has reason to be proud of his crew! I've already recommend this company to a couple of friends.

We chose Thiele based on Angie's List recommendation as well as because they provide the Rheeme system. What impressed me the most was their professionalism and efficiency. I was surprised at how quickly they were able to finish the installation (about 6 hours at the most). They provided a thorough service, completing the work to my satisfaction at a fair price and in a quick amount of time

The installers arrived as scheduled; removed the old furnace and air conditioner and replaced them with the ones I ordered. The installers did an excellent job and the installation was precisely as I discussed with Jason, the salesman. The installers did a good job; answered any questions that I had and done an excellent job of cleaning the worksite. After the installation was completed Jason mailed me all the paperwork necessary to apply for a $1500 federal tax credit and also various rebates.

The initial estimate was done after a "load calculation" was performed to insure the correct size for the furnace and air conditioner. Changes needed to comply with codes (side venting of the furnace and a new flue liner for the existing gas water heater) were explained up front. Jason, the salesman, explained all of the current rebates and possible tax credits that could apply depending on the efficiency of the gas furnace and the air conditioner. The units were installed within the time frame that Jason described (one day for installation within 2-3 days of agreeing to the estimate). The cost was exactly what was estimated. The two installers arrived on time and answered all questions before leaving. The old units were removed and the work site was cleaned before the installers left. There were two minor problems. The new humidifier did not appear to work initially. After I called Thiele, they sent a technician immediately. He discovered a loose wire that was quickly fixed and the unit functioned fine. The other issue was really a misunderstanding between Jason and myself. My notes said that the humidifier was digital and the humidity setting would be set at the thermostat. The unit is actually analog and is set at the furnace - not the thermostat. This was not a big issue for me or my wife and was probably due to my error.

It went very well. So far we are very pleased. They did good work, were prompt, and cleaned up well.

Smooth process from start to finish. I will be working with this company in the future.

We had a good deal. They were quick to come out and install it and got us out of the cold.

They were punctual - two men worked constantly and completed the job in less than 4 hours. Cleaned up and took trash with them.

We were using them for the first time. They redid the entire system. They were very professional and we got a very good price from them.

My initial call to Thiele was returned the same day and the work was diagnosed and completed the same day. I called them again that same evening to report a problem with the repair and was given the option of a technician coming back that night or the next day. I chose the next day. The tech returned, listened to my concerns and fixed the repair. Then he answered more of my questions about my heating system overall, helped me fix a long-term problem and was overall knowledgeable, courteous and helpful.

It was a combination of heat pump and gas. It was high tech. They were able to give energy efficiency tax credit for us this year. They were fantastic. Their work was great. We couldn’t ask for anyone better. The system has the electronic air filter and uses ultra violet rays to sterile the air. They gave us some perks. The price was expensive but everything that was done wasn’t ordinary. So the price was fine for us. I would deal with them without any problem. It’s a family owed business who are around for many years. They want to provide quality service. They check and make sure everything is okay. You can’t ask for anything better.

They were great and seemed to do a fine job with it. They were on-time and cleaned up after themselves so there was no mess. Their price was also acceptable. I would call them again if needed.

I liked them because they were very responsive and fairly priced. I felt good about their service. I thought they were easy to work with. I paid around $5500 for the job. I had a very good experience with them. I have already recommended them to a neighbor of mine. I’ll use their services again in the future.

They were very friendly, professional and willing to work with us. They were the least expensive from the other 5 quotes we received. They were honest and exceeded our expectations. I would use them again in the future.

We are very happy with them so far. It seemed like their prices were slightly higher than the other companies. However, the quality was good even though the price was kind of like the middle of the road.

I was very satisfied with their work. There were not surprises and they did what they said they were going to do in the amount of time that they said it would take. I give them all A’s for their service.
